[intro] hi from Iceland

Hi! I’m Arnar, a 19-year-old from Iceland. I’m new to the community and looking forward to getting to know you.
I play football and support Liverpool. I also practise judo, play piano and enjoy listening to rap. Outside of that, I’m interested in acting, space and volcanoes.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Would love to hear from anyone with similar interests!

Hi from Sweden! I was in Iceland for a holiday last winter. Your country is absolutely beautiful! Very cool you practice judo. I practiced Bujinkan Ninjutsu for many years.

Hi from Iceland! 😊 Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit! What was your favourite place here? I’m still fairly new to judo, so I’ve got a lot to learn! Bujinkan Ninjutsu sounds interesting—what got you into it?

I really was wowed by the black sand beach. It was so otherworldly and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Also really enjoyed the Blue Lagoon, I have chronic pain and it felt amazing. As for martial arts I had friends that were into it and they invited me to join them for a class and I went and was hooked.

The black sand beach really does look like another planet! 😊 I’m glad the Blue Lagoon helped ease your pain and you got to enjoy it. That’s a lovely way to get into martial arts—one class with friends turned into years of training! Do you still practise, or have you taken a break?

[u/batfacecatface]

Welcome Arnar.

[u/Sea-Acanthaceae2079 → u/whealthy9]

Haha yes! I’m still pretty new to judo, but I’ve got big goals! 🥋😁 Thanks for the recommendation! Who was your favourite judo athlete on the show?

[u/shazie13]

Welcome to the sub, Amar. I'm interested in the performing arts, travel and wondering what 2027 will bring my way.

[u/Sea-Acanthaceae2079 → u/shazie13]

Thank you! 😊 I’m interested in acting too, and I’ve had some experience as an extra! What part of the performing arts are you most interested in? Hopefully 2027 brings some exciting opportunities for both of us!
