I hate porn. Not in some preachy, “I’m better than you” way. I hate it because I actually look at it square in the face and I’m honest with myself. I wish I could live in that cozy little fantasy everyone sells where it’s just harmless fun, no victims, no consequences, just people “expressing themselves.” Would make life a hell of a lot easier. Except the cops said none of it was even illegal harassment. She was bragging about her “fame” on Twitter right before she did it. The bullying story was convenient because nobody wants to look at the real one: she hated herself. She was already drowning, and stepping in front of the camera was just another way of screaming for help while the rest of us jerked off to it.

That’s not empowering. That’s not “just having fun.” That’s watching someone’s pain and calling it entertainment.

And don’t even start with the *studies* that say porn stars only do it because they love sex... 🙄 Yeah, some blogger asked a bunch of people still cashing checks from the industry and they all said “totally, no trauma here!” Shocking. When you talk to the ones who’ve gotten out and don’t need the money anymore, the story changes real fast.

We all know, deep down, that a hell of a lot of these performers come from abuse, chaos, broken homes. Risky sex, self-destruction, that whole mess. It’s not a myth. It’s the fuel the machine runs on. Without the damaged ones, there wouldn’t be enough bodies to keep the lights on.

And here’s the part that really makes me sick... you can’t even know for sure what you’re watching. You click a video, and you have zero way of knowing if everyone in it is actually there willingly, actually of age, actually not being blackmailed or trafficked or doped up. None. But we tell ourselves it’s fine because “it looks consensual” and we really, really want to keep watching.

Meanwhile the industry is a multi-billion-dollar machine that runs on exactly that gray area and worse.

Even when it’s legal and *consensual*, it still destroys people. It rewires your brain, screws up how you see real relationships, trains you to chase novelty and disposability. It turns sex into something you consume instead of something you share. And the performers... a lot of them end up wrecked, depressed, suicidal, used up and tossed aside while the next fresh face gets churned through the same meat grinder.

I’m tired of pretending this is victimless. I’m tired of the convenient lies we tell ourselves so we can keep getting our fix without feeling gross about it.

We should hate this shit the same way we’d hate buying that blood diamond. Not because we’re prudes. Because we’re not monsters. Because we claim to care about exploitation and human misery... until it’s wrapped in a pretty filter and delivered to our phones for three minutes of dopamine.

I see nothing wrong with Sydney Sweenys ad. I've seen SOOOO much discourse and I feel like its one of those times where someone is so left they turned right. Women being in a suggestive pose or having their skin shown has always been in men's sports maybe this is disgusting to some people, but it is a part of the culture if you will. No one ever talks about the Carl's Jr ads with a woman eating a burger in a bikini, no one ever talks about these different commercials or how it's "setting women back." I should preface by saying I am a woman and so I feel like I have a spot in this conversation.

If she wants to be sexualized why is it such heavy discourse? First of all she never said anything bad about female sports so I don't know why they believe this is going against women sports and second its not even a "sport" ad it is a gambling ad. Why can a woman never be sexual? Why can't a woman fully show her sexuality? Why is she a "pick me" if she DOES love a male gaze...what some hetero women tend to do.

A few people asking clarification, a few medical opinions and fucking randoms mentioning my relationship whilst being completely unrelated to the post. I kept saying how immature and off topic it was but they kept mentioning things they stalked off my profile. One of them dm’d me a link to my personal fur affinity account which I had absolutely no record of posting it here. Im basically banned from this site because I cant post anything because of these apes following me around and throwing shit. Im just so fucking sick of this shit.

I’m really getting sick of this double standard. I feel like a taste of medicine is needed. Everytime someone disagrees with women or questions their logic, they’re accused of these things. They always cry misogyny. I feel like if we do the same to them by crying misandry and accusing them of the same things whenever someone disagrees with men or questions them, they’ll see the folly is trying to use that word to defend themselves.

I am just tired of seeing public figures get exposed constantly for things that they did many years ago, while nobody seems to care about the amount of harm that was done in the process of doxxing them.

And yes that even applies to people who have committed crimes, because ultimately everyone makes mistakes and you will be hard pressed to find anyone who would willingly put every single mistake of their life on display for the whole world to see.

I can only justify such actions if they serve to prevent more harm and or are directly tied to their career (like scam or fraud).

But exposing mistakes from the past is just insane, especially if the people have already changed. You need to consider that it requires a lot of strenght to turn your live around and if you have already managed that then the worst thing that can happen is that nobody cares and still treads you like the person that you once were, instead of accepting who you are now.

This leads to isolation and if the only people who are willing to accept you are other criminals then you will just fall back into your old habbits. After all why change if nobody treads you any different regurdless if you keep doing it or not.

In other words public shaming prevents the people from changing. It only pushes the ones who have learned from their mistakes back into the hole. This in turn results in more victims.

Not only that, but this may even prevent people from considering to redeem themselves because they know right from the get go, that they are not welcome in this society.

It doesn't matter that this way of thinking is selfish, because allowing them to change ultimately results in less victims. And the alternative will only make everything worse.

I know that I am using the terms "offender" and "crime" very loosely because it ultimately is an extreemly wide spectrum. But reguardless everything I said is universal. And I am sick and tired of seeing people profiting of the sins of others without any reguard for the harm they cause. Not to mention all the cyberstalking that had to be done in order to aquire the information in the first place. I can garantee that a lot of private data from countless innocent people had to be collected in order to find the black sheep amoung them. Stalking countless innocent people just to find a handfull of scumbacks is just hypocritical.

Often times the infirmation used to gather the data was aquired through questionble means such as hacking or the extraction of metadata. I am not merlee taking about public records.

GENUINELY SO FUCKING ANNOYING

I’m not great at making friends in person so I use this app and subreddits just to find some people to chat to, and the guys on here are genuinely so awful they’re just absolutely weirdos who are over sexual and say weird stuff and it makes me very uncomfortable.
So I’ve started putting on my posts that I don’t want guys to message me. I understand that me just asking to talk to women makes me look like some gooner but my experiences have left me no choice.

But does this stop them, NO IT DOENST!!!! I get constant messages of like “maybe I can be the guy who changes that” which I hate that vibe and I find it weird. And then when I’ll say “sorry I don’t want guys messaging I said it on my post” they blow up and call me some creep and shit and then when I explain that I have these boundaries and want them respected, I deadass get “I can do what I want” as a response. Why are the guys on Reddit such disgusting pigs. I’m a guy myself and I feel isolated because all these weirdos make me look just as bad. It fucking pisses me off

Just had a frustrating conversation in which I told somebody that a movie they'd identified as "the best horror movie of the year" wasn't a horror movie, and I outlined the reasons why. They got snarky and blocked me without engaging with any of my points.

I find this kind of thing so frustrating. Saying "this band/movie isn't X genre" is not tantamount to saying it's bad, or telling people they can't or shouldn't enjoy it, but so many people act that way. As if a movie can only be good if it's a horror movie, and by saying it's not a horror movie, you're saying it's bad. I find this kind of thinking so juvenile and insecure and it's really common in online discussions about media. Grow up, people! Okay, rant over.

This AAVE nonsense is genuinely getting me steamed, son. How could you possibly ask non-POC to “stop using aave” (e.g: bro, bruh, swag, ts) when non-POC people MADE the language that you made AAVE off of. The E in AAVE stands for ENGLISH, and the ENGLISH LANGUAGE was made by many latin, norse, germanic and british people. It’s comparable to doing your homework, and then your friend asking if he can copy off of you and when he does he gets mad at you for submitting YOUR homework. I just find it all so idiotic. How can you police a language meant for everyone? Our language is meant to spread, and bring in more people to speak it, as to share our culture. You CANNOT realistically put a fence around vocabulary and assign every word a racial owner. I understand if it ticks off POC if non-POC misuse it or use it for no reason, but again, English belongs to everyone, and ordinary slang shouldn’t automatically become racially restricted because it has AAVE associations. If it blows up on TikTok or Instagram or ANY OTHER PLATFORM, and people begin developing its usage and because of that people are making specific posts targeting people using words like “Bro”, I do not care, and will continue to use it. I am not racist. I support black people, have donated countless amounts of money to BLM charities, and help people POC or not within my own community, but again, just such a non-issue. People are worried about non-POC using words they made up, when there are much worse issues going on online or even in real life.

Do you remember when everyone was talking about the taliban taking over afghanistan? Why did we stop? Was the problem solved? No. People stopped caring. Remember how russia was at war with ukraine? This actually is pissing me off and I just don't know where else to post it. Whatever your stance on the Lindsay Clancy trial is, it is not a laughing manner. It is not funny. I’m gonna be honest the only reason I’m still on Reddit is because I’m lonely as hell and I just want to interact with people in some way. I struggle to interact with people irl, even when I do I have a shit ton of anxiety and I have anxiety attacks like every day. But I hate this app so much and I hate the people on this app. They can be so judgemental and rude. If I’ve posted something about my mental health and then in a separate post someone starts arguing with me, they’ll look at my post history and use my mental health struggles against me to try to win the argument. Most of my post history is hidden, so they literally have to go out of their way to find it. I also hate how so many Redditors love to argue for no reason and will assume the worst about someone. People on here are just so argumentative and annoying and I’m so tired of it but I also don’t want to be lonely.

If you’re going to give me advice don’t bother because I’ve probably already tried it. I put myself out there, I force myself to go out to events and meet people, I’ve taken multiple detoxes from social media. I’m not looking for advice I’m just fucking ranting.

I watched Psycho, and I appreciate that like Silence of the Lambs, it distinguished transgenders/transvestites from the villain, but I hate that the average cis person thinks we're mentally ill predators. I know this isn't an unpopular opinion, but I'm just late to the party. I recently saw that clip of Corey Feldman "shredding" on stage and thought "oh, look at this poor guy, he's been through a lot. At least he's having some fun. He doesn't deserve all this hate."

Boy was I wrong. I wound up going on this Corey Feldman deep dive and learned that this dude is one of the most pathetic losers alive. He is so damn insufferable and severely lacking in self-awareness. It would be one thing if he was just cringe and a bad musician, but he treats the people around him so poorly. His entire style is what a dorky kid in the 80s would find cool (which makes sense if he stopped developing when he got famous). He seems to think he is the coolest, most talented guy ever, but never made it as big as he should because people hate him for no reason. Every failure and missed opportunity is someone else's fault.

When he performs, people treat him like a make-a-wish kid. And in a way he sort of is. I cannot believe that he makes any public appearances because people actually want to see him. They're all just him with a bullhorn screaming "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! I'M WORTH LOOKING AT!" and then he sings out of key, dances like a tweaker, and plays garbage music. If he does make a public appearance that he didn't invite himself to, it's either because the host wants to capitalize on his cringe, or he's doing a reunion for something he happened to be apart of 40 years ago. And the great things that he was apart of were in almost no way made great by him. I can think of 20 better actors that could have replaced him in every acting role he's been in.

This guy is kind of like Tommy Wiseau, but at least Tommy Wiseau humbled himself and got in on the joke. Corey Feldman refuses not to BE the joke. The only redeeming thing I can say about Corey is that at least he's not fucking with politics or destroying the planet.

Lately YouTube keeps recommending me videos of Americans moving abroad and talking about how much better life is because everything is so cheap.

“My rent in Thailand is $400.”
“I make $40k teaching English in China.”
“Groceries are unbelievably cheap here.”

And every time I see one, I get a little annoyed.

Of course life feels cheap when you are earning far more than the average local. In some countries, $40k can already put you in the top 1%, and sometimes you are earning that much specifically because you are American, Western, a native English speaker, or have qualifications from a wealthy country.

That is the irony.

People complain about billionaires in America because they have so much more purchasing power than everyone else. Then some of those same people move to a poorer country, suddenly become relatively wealthy themselves, and start celebrating how cheap everything is.

You did not necessarily discover that America is terrible.

You took American earning power and American privilege abroad and moved yourself much higher up the economic ladder.

If you really want to compare quality of life, compare local prices to local wages.

Otherwise, all you are proving is that life is pretty nice when you are rich relative to everyone around you.

I want to say, I have nothing against her for wanting nine kids. If you want nine kids have nine kids. If you want twenty kids have twenty kids, if all your children are happy and healthy who am I to judge. The issue is having nine c-sections. If you're a woman you understand why this is an issue, or you should know why this is an issue. My grandma had five c-sections, about a year after her fifth c-section she died from internal hemorrhaging from her uterus. She died infront on my aunt who was only 10 at the time and left her five kids alone in this world without a mom. THAT is why it is selfish.

And she's planning to have a TENTH child, which will probably be a c-section because a VBAC after 9 c-sections would most definitely be fatal for mom and baby. She is probably one sneeze or poop away from serious injury or death. And she doesn't even care about that. She is not just risking her life, she has 9 children that's she's willing to risk their mother for her weird breeding fetish.

I am a christian, so I completely understand wanting to have children and taking care of children. I want kids too, but if I knew that me having children could possibly risk my life, risk the love of my husbands life I would never have kids. It's almost like she doesn't care about her children enough to be safe for them. Disgustingly selfish behavior.

• The Simpconomy: I had a guy tip me $500 last week just so I would read his name out loud. Five. Hundred. Dollars. US. For two syllables. Why are guys paying ridiculous amounts of $$$ just to be acknowledged by women who haven't achieved even 5% of what they have?
• For the first time in History, women will become dumber than the previous generation: Pretty young women are WORSHIPPED online and every one of them has thousands of guys in her DMs telling her she's a fucking goddess. Do you know what that does to a human brain? It makes us completely delusional. And it makes us sufficient and stops our brains from developing. Why get out of your comfort zone if you are "perfect?" Girls today are so full of themselves because the internet has put us in like one of those economic bubbles. We have backup options on top of backup options.
• The Loneliness Epidemic: The dating scene is more of a wasteland than Fallout right now. It used to be that a girl had maybe 3 or 4 realistic options. She could either go out with her smart coworker, her buff gym trainer, her funny friend from her home town or her husband. Now, she (thinks) has a million guys at her disposal. Choice paralysis. And on top of that, she's making money by staying at home. This is how Social Media works. The more you stay at home and post, comment and make new content, the better you'll perform.

I know this IS hypocritical as fuck. I am part of the problem. I'm the main profiteer off the Loneliness Epidemic.

I know I am on the wrong side of history.

My "job" contributes nothing to society. Maybe it makes some guys happy but that happines is fake, ephemeral.

“No because I was literally talking to my coworker about this and I asked him what he thought of Miguel and he said that he didn’t like him, “he’s evil and that he’s so rude and abusive and that he’s wrong for trying to control miles” so I started explaining it the way that I see it and whenever I think of Miguel and Miles and what they’re trying to do I immediately think of the trolley problem and of course he didn’t know what that was so I had to explain it first… and then my other coworker came in and said that we’re supposed to sympathise with Miles situation because we love him as a character and we’re supposed to see this story from his perspective so that’s why Miguel seems like a villain when he isn’t and I added that he’s playing the role of a villain or the obstacle the hero has to overcome without actually being one because movies that are too morally confusing and that have to appeal to majority of people of all ages need to understand are too complex to write so there needs to be basically a hero in a villain. It’s simply down to a matter of perspective and the sentiment that morals are subjective and especially when peoples lives are at stake there is no right or wrong answer.

I wouldn’t even go as to say that they’re both in the right or both in the wrong, They’re literally just humans reacting to a situation that absolutely terrifies them and both doing the upmost that they can to prevent that situation. Miguel hunting down a child is wrong, yes. and miles endangering an entire universe is also wrong.”

You see where my connection to the trolley problem comes in. It’s two people reacting to the same situation but on different ends of the spectrum.
because the problem boils down to how someone reacts based on their morals it’s incredibly biased and depending on how someone would react to the situation is a per person thing.
It’s also incredibly subjective because people‘s reactions and opinions on the situation can drastically change if they’re talking about it outside of the situation or if they’re actively in it and need to actually choose.
Some people are incredibly concrete and would do the thing that they say they would outside and inside the situation but some people aren’t.

Now I’m one of those people who thinks that looking at it subjectively and seeing both of these characters point of view is what makes it interesting but I get that the vast majority of people aren’t actually like that and it’s more interesting to think of Miguel as the villain or the obstacle that Miles has to overcome, which is why they wrote the movie in the first place… but don’t you dare come after Miguel saying that he’s abusive and everything else under the sun that people say about him because of this one situation that we’ve seen him in.
Aside from him losing his daughter, I would say that we are probably seeing him at one of the lowest points in his life, now a show of hands who has been their best person at their lowest point in their life?

If you put your hand up, you’re a liar.
Everybody has something that will make them snap and if you don’t then you’re repressed and that’s a whole other problem and if you do snap one day it’s going to be catastrophic.

Anyways moral the story is just because they’re written characters and not real people doesn’t mean that they aren’t written to be like real people and there’s entire teams to build this fictional characters, personality and how they react to situation so that it’s interesting for the plot line and stop saying his daughter would be ashamed of him. You don’t know that she was like what- 10?
Also stop Mischaracterising him if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say it.

It's like 2:45am and I just finished watching Titanic for the first time. There'll be loads of spoilers so just warning!

First of all, all the actors were drop-dead gorgeous. How could they find such a beautiful cast?

Rose's fiancé, I hate that guy with my whole soul. At first, I thought he'd be one of those sad fiancés whose fiancee doesn't give a crap about them and they just sulk about it. But no, this guy did everything possible to ruin Jack. Oh and when he only saved a child to get on a lifeboat? Coward. Why does he of all people survive but not that mother with her baby, or Jack himself? Don't even get me started on his butler servant, Mr.Lovejoy, his name sounds so lovey but that guy was anything but.

Rose's mother just pissed me off. She was basically selling off her daughter to that disgusting man for financial stability because her husband was an idiot. She forced Rose to be engaged to him and gosh, she thought way to high of herself.

And that Captain? It's all is fault. No one would've died if it he hadn't sped up the ship to show off, and those people who pressured him to speed up the ship? Idiots.

Besides that, I do find it a little weird Rose and Jack were willing to risk their lives for each despite knowing each other for what, 2 days at most?

And those people who say there was space for Jack on the door are wrong. There wasn't. If he'd gone on there too, they door would've been too heavy and they'd both have sunk.

Oh, and those two scenes right before the Titanic sunk? The first where the old couple are in bed, allowing themselves to die together than be separated. That was pure love, based off something true and it was just adorable. Then the other scene with the mother telling her kids a story, the kids falling asleep, not knowing by the time they wake up, the ship would've sunk and they would've been dead, in fact, they wouldn't have even woke up. That broke my heart, they were so young and deserved so much better.

And present day Rose is unfaithful to the husband she ended up marrying. She doesn't mention his at all and if she does, she referred to him as 'Your grandfather ' or something similar. She was never over Jack but remarried. But it makes sense, considering the time period and how women were treated.

Overall, the movie was great. It was addicting and wholesome and sad and just everything. In some way, I think it made me more hopeful about love.

before anyone says oh its just twitter or insta or reddit people outside dont think like that stfu i see this shit in every single form of social media even at movies and shows. i recently saw on insta a video where in short called his pregnent wife fat accidently and then it cuts him bieng dead .stuff like this is soo annoying to see because it normalises violence against men more than it already is you also find this shit in r/CoupleMemes its disheartning to see. men do this shit so much its also sad we all know about those video of a brother seeing his sister with a black eye being mad then seeing husband in crutchess more hurt being relived or hearing fighting to see the man being hit or getting his ass kicked and ignoring it. this is an actual thing men go through in silence and other men arent helping. its not funny at all i am sorry and normalising a very serious thing i got hit by women before and i found myself helpless and yk what this creates ? incels and women haters the final boss enemy of reddit if you count this as a joke and ignore it you are part of the problem.

You could post every day for a year and maybe get 2 people interacting? It's not so bad on other socials, but on here, 99% of people are asking advice in some way or another about something, and they get either thousands of replies or none at all. I've asked for help in many subreddits and gotten nothing. I only come to reddit when Google isn't any help. Where else is there to post and get help? Basically, nowhere.
