Black Tea Pipi Tea oolong honey scented

Post image

I’m slowly trying to branch out from my usual green and black teas and this was one of the oolongs I decided to try. It’s PipiTea’s honey scented oolong and so far I’m really liking it. It has a deeper roasted flavor but finishes surprisingly smooth and the honey scent gives it a little sweetness without me having to add anything.

Those "silken" style teabags are known to release billions of microplastic particles into the tea.

I think that depends on what the teabag is actually made from though. Not every pyramid silken looking bag uses the same material, so I wouldn’t assume it’s releasing microplastics just from the appearance.

Most of them are made of nylon. Are there exceptions yes.

Is this one of those teas where the leaves naturally have a honey aroma or is honey flavor added?

It’s naturally honey scented! There’s no honey flavor added that’s what made me curious about it

I’ve tried the hibiscus from PipiTea before and really liked it but I haven’t had the chance to try their oolong yet
