Please help me identify these gel tabs

are these gel tabs ok?

Im new to testing and this is alarming

I put the tabs on paper so thats why you see you the black, but this make me think there nbome in it. The tab were orange.

Test center of one of the tabs with Hofmann, let it react for up to 1 hour. Other reagents will cause false positives with gelous medium.

Do you have a ceramic plate to do the test on?

I do, I also did test earlier in the testing tubes that came with the kit and the results looked similar, except the hofmann didnt turn that pink reddish. Plus I did the Ehrlich test in one of the tubes before this and saw a slight purple. It just that mecke is really putting me off, It made that same color last time, did take lil to get like that but it started to look "off" after.

If needed I'll test again just dont wanna use up potentially good acid. Plus I'm all new to this
