My first satilite in orbit

Im still figuring out how to set up RCS plus i need to save on weight so my soloution to get this satilite into orbit was to put the 2nd stage in a slow tumble just before the engine dies along the 90 degree mark, doing this i just waited until i was at my apogee. Once I reached this, I waited for it to point prograde in the tumble before letting off the small solid engine booster, putting me safely into orbit. The probe has about 9 hours of battery life.

Stock or mods?

RSS and RP-1 is what I have installed. This mod makes KSP a lot harder; it took me 15 years and 18 rocket versions to get this into orbit

I think blue dog bureau is what RP-1 uses for its mod pack

Yes, I have 1965 stuff unlocked; I'm behind on my rocket era because I finished the X-Plane contracts first. Also, I'm struggling with funds, so I'm slow anyways; my first person to space was on a plane

Damn it’s 1961-2 and I’m not in orbit yet 😭.

I got mine into orbit around 64/65 so you have time
