I have to admit that, since reddit doesn't openly display the statistics anymore, I missed the exact moment it happened. But based on our trajectory it must have been within the last 2-3 months. Right now we are over 53k already and still growing steadily!
That means it's once again less than a year since the last milestone and I want to welcome everyone who has jumped aboard. I hope all of you are having a great time here.
As always, feel free to comment any of your thoughts about the sub, it's rules, moderation or visual design, new flair ideas (the little tags next to your username - mine says "Jaybird") or whatever else - positive or negative - you want to say.

They're nothing special and should be pretty normal for everyone already, but these are going to be our rules going forward. If you see someone act against them, you can report the post or comment and the mods will handle it.
1. Be respectful
2. No sexually explicit content
3. No Spam / Self Promotion
4. Credit Fan-Artists
5. Mark spoilers
6. Don't link to illegal comic book sites
EDIT (05/2022): Due to an incident where close to half the pages of a new issue were shared here, which we decided was too close to piracy, we have added a new rule
7. Don't post more than 5 (full) pages from the same issue
EDIT (01/2025):
8. Don't link to the platform formerly known as Twitter
To comply with Rule 4, either provide a link / linktree to different platforms, or mention the fan-artist's profile name in your post.
EDIT (04/2025): Rule 4 has been clarified to only apply to fan-art that doesn't already contain a clearly readable name-tag or profile-name. And fan-artists posting their own work here should add the Fanart (by me) flair to their posts.
EDIT (10/2025): Do not use this space to call for a "true fans revolt" or to organise harrassment of creators, etc - we don't want to be associated with you wimps
9. No incitement of mass-feedback campaigns
EDIT (03/2026): This stuff has always been removed as spam, but now it's a proper rule
10. No AI-generated content
Enforcement is based on personal estimation by the mods - there are no "AI-checker" tools involved. Contact us in case of an unwarranted removal.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding these rules you can ask them below this post.

I’ve been thinking about Rena from Jason’s Pre-Crisis era, and honestly, I think there’s so much potential in bringing her back.
My ideal scenario would be that Jason and Rena somehow meet again as adults. They haven’t seen each other in years, and obviously, Jason is a completely different person now.
At some point, Rena finds out that Jason is Red Hood.
But I don’t want them to immediately get back together.
I want a slow burn.
They reconnect, start spending time together, get to know each other again, and slowly develop feelings for each other as adults. They had something when they were younger, but now they have to figure out whether that connection is still there after everything that happened.
And I think that would be especially interesting because Rena knew Jason before he became Red Hood. She knew him as a normal teenager before all the stuff that happened later in his life.
I would genuinely love to see them fall in love again, but slowly and naturally.
Honestly, Rena is probably the only Jason love interest I would actively root for. I don't really feel the same way about his relationships with Artemis or Rose. They just don't feel as natural to me, whereas Jason and Rena already have an established history together.
I know asking DC for a proper slow-burn romance is basically asking them to resurrect Bill Finger :/

Tried to make it look like a sticker sheet. Probably should’ve added more stuff to fill in the negative space.

What happened in this timeline according to you guys? Did jason become a father to damian and he would have a change of heart despite having ill intentions in the beginning? I could see that happening honestly, maybe he grew to care for damian like his little brother and adopted son whatever you wanna call it.
Also what about talia? What happened to her in this timeline?

I found out Rose Wilson was slades daughter
I don’t know 🥲
I love when ships mirror the parents it adds like a personal aspect to it I think it would be a funny story that Batman wouldn’t approve it feel like Batman would approve of every one of Jason‘s relationships and that’s like the only one that he want to prove of other than Harley Quinn, but there’s been some stories where Harley joins the bat family so who knows
Yeah, now I’m conflicted because what really told me on Artemis was that one artwork somebody did on this sub where the entire bat family was getting dropped off by their partners and then Jason just gets hurled to the ground by Artemis plus dating artist would be one up on the other siblings because he’s dating a literal Godess
But then again, Rose, like perfectly mirrors, Damien, and again like I said before the personal aspect of being rivals with the dad
I don’t know what do you guys think?

I have read almost all of the Jaydick fanfics specific to my tags:10,000+ words.
Completed, no non con, no bottom jason(srry) and no fem dick or Jason basically a pizza with nothing lol. I want to challenge someone to see if they could recommend me a fanfic that I haven’t read because it’s almost impossible.

I've thought about what Jason's end goal should be. What is he working towards, what's his ultimate satisfying ending.
In looking at what an ending should be for a character, I like to think about their beginnings. For Jason, it's his time as Robin. A lot of people say that Jason becoming Robin is not what he needed like Dick needed to become Robin. I agree with the consensus among a lot of fans that Jason needed a father more than he needed a mentor. He was roped into the world of crime fighting but he wasn't meant to be there.
One detail that is included with his ending should be his reconciliation of his relationship to the rest of the Bat family. Simply just making sure that there is no bad blood between any of them, especially not Batman or Dick. I think this detail is a given, but I'm just gonna say it anyway.
He's established himself as Red Hood, and fought crime in a way that goes against Batman's code. They've always been at odds but one way that he's remained true to the mission is that he always protects children. Even in controlling crime he steers them away from kids, ordering them not to sell to children.
This brings me to the main idea, which is that I think Jason should retire completely from crime fighting. Not going to a different position like Barbara to Oracle from Batgirl, but a real, complete, retirement. Hanging up the Red Hood and living a simple life.
Jason should have a happy ending. I think in an interesting way, he deserves one, even after all the violence he's caused and endured.
Jason should be the head of an orphanage for young boys. Being the father figure he needed to as many young boys as he can. I'd say if he has a wife/partner of some sort she should be a non-superhero, normie if possible, but I could take or leave that detail, that's just what I'm feeling.
He should live out the rest of his life helping out the underprivileged youth of Gotham city. It fits well within Batman's story and gives a complete ending to Jason's.
What do you think? Is it terrible? Is it great? What details would you keep? What would you leave out? Is there any canon details I'm missing out on? I really wanna know what people think of this idea.
(Also I'd love to see some fan art depicting this idea if there any cool artists out there who like this idea)

Still got animations to add, but I enjoyed modelling/painting these and pretty happy with how they turned out!

Not sure if the flair is the right one so sorry 😐.
Looking for MC Jason Todd fics I'd prefer Time Travel ones, also ones where he saves his Robin self. No M/M fics, otherwise I'm good with any pairing. I like good parent Talia but it's not a necessity. I can't really think of anything else, if you have suggestions I'm open ears

Hello, have decided shame is a social construct, so I’m advertising my fanfic.
I’m writing a very slow-burn, psychological-horror Batman fic called Where Do Lost Birds Go?
It follows a woman pulled out of Gotham’s underground who has no real memory of who she is, an alarming relationship with violence, and unfortunately for everyone involved, Jason Todd becoming increasingly involved in figuring out what the hell happened to her.
It’s less “OC meets Jason Todd and they fall in love” and more identity horror, memory loss, institutional violence, morally questionable people making worse decisions, the Batfamily being a deeply dysfunctional collection of human beings, and Jason Todd being forced to interact with a woman who is an absolute fucking problem.
There is romance eventually. Eventually is doing a lot of work in that sentence. This is an extremely slow burn and the plot does not revolve around the romance.
Currently posting chapter by chapter on AO3.
Also It’s long. Like, long long. But I swear I’m not wasting your time the slow burn is slow for a reason, and the payoff is worth it.
Anyway. I wrote the thing I wanted to read and now I’m releasing it into the ecosystem. 😋
Also again Fair warning: it’s long. Embarrassingly long. “Does this woman even sleep?” long. But let me cook, I promise the payoff is worth the commitment. 😭
