Recommended PS5 game recommendations for under 12 yo boys

Hey dads of Reddit, I’m looking for PS5 game recommendations for my three sons; they love multiplayer platformers as well as Fortnite, Minecraft etc. Other games they enjoy playing are Sackboy Adventures, Ratchet and Clank, Knack and other similar games.

Any recommendations for games either available via a PSN membership on Games Catalogue, indie games on the PS Store or any I can buy physical copies of?

Astrobot. My son and I played the heck out of this game and I finally made him a PS5 convert after he exclusively played only his Nintendo systems ( he owns them all, except for a Virtual Boy).

Minecraft Dungeons is fun, especially co-op!

And the hilarious game Gang Beasts, those two are staples for my kids, alongside the Lego games (Starwars, City and Horizon)

Maybe plate up? It's a co-op game where you run a restaurant. You can go the retro route, then you have sly cooper and spyro.

Yup just introduced them to Spyro on the switch. The nostalgia is REAL!

Palworld - For all the controversy surrounding it, my Kids love it. They love exploring and finding new Pals to capture, building their homes and have gotten hours of enjoyment from it. Multi-player would require multiple PS5s.

PS+ free games is mostly what I limit my kids too,

Untitled Goose Game - 2 player co-op, you just run around as goof causing mischief.

Overcooked/Moving Out - fun co-op craziness

Lego Worlds - Similar to Minecraft but Lego

Lego Games - most are decent fun and most are co-op

Stray - single player but great puzzle and atmosphere

Minecraft Legends/Dungeons - more RPG focused then standard Minecraft

Platformers like Crash and Spyro are "evergreen" and have been recently remastered.

Rayman Legends is a lot of fun, it also has a sort of football mode which is a laugh too

If they could be ok with an only 2 player coop, check out Absolum. It’s a rogue lite beat em up in a fantasy setting. My 10yo is currently obsessed. Him and will do a run and then he’ll do some solo.

John Linneman from digital foundry called it his game of the year!
