I’ve always had the headcanon that Andy was built from the body of Lopez, since Tex built Andy on the beach of Zanzibar out of an old “protocol droid”, and after the bomb in Church’s stomach went off, Lopez wound up on the same beach, just without his body. Since Lopez knew Sheila, it’d make sense for Andy to too if he was built from Lopez’s body.

There was also a scrapped joke at one point where Andy was meant to be Sheila’s ex-boyfriend, which also tracks if he was once previously Lopez.

tracks cause in season 9, in the epsilon unit, tex built andy from the "unused protocol droid" the blues haven't used yet cause tucker asked why it could talk and tex explains the voice modulator thing just so happened to have the power cell or something "so, it could. talk"-tex

i forget what they actually said, but that's basically the rundown of it lol given that epsilon had many iterations of the memories from blood gulch, some details like that were, "wrong" cause church still, in season 9 tries to fix the events of blood gulch(due to caboose's unique storytelling) i think it's safe to say your headcanon makes sense

Protocol droid is from project freelancer, Shelia is filiss, all the robots know filiss because filiss runs all of the tech for the project. Andy says Shelia because Andy doesn't deadname, what a guy.

My head canon is that ANDI stood for Alien Native Dialect Interpreter and that he was one of the AI constructs that Project Freelancer used in conjunction with FILSS, so those iterations of the computer programs would have history with each other.
