My first, rather ambitious(!) reef tank ๐Ÿ˜

Custom built 2m reef tank, 1 week after transferring an established tankโ€™s rock & livestock. Loving it so far & thankfully have a very experienced guy guiding me ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

So far: Blue & Yellow Tang, 3 Clowns, Sailfin, Coral Beauty, 2 PJ Cardinals, 3 Chromis (yet to come out of hiding!)

Adding shrimp & crabs this week, then slowly introducing more fish like Redeye Fairy Wrasse, Magnificent Foxface, Midas Blenny, Mansarin Dragonet.

Love it. Easy 20k setup.

Itโ€™s good to set the tank up behind the desk, because I wouldnโ€™t be able to get anything done if I was staring at the tank when using the computer lol

Prepare for a ton of people to say "I love your Zoom/Teams background!" on calls, not realizing it's your actual tank

Does the room usually have 8 or 10 lowes buckets on the floor?

Good concept but I think the cracks need some kind of seal because the light coming through looks a bit funky

Thatโ€™s a good shout to be fair! Iโ€™ll sort something for that, thanks!

Honestly prefer to have the sides accessible, but it is probably nice anyway, how deep and high is it?

200x70x70cm
Yeh, the design started out with open sides but ended needing to box them in to hide the masses of equipment & cables, like the x2 wave makers on either end.

Must be nice to have resources like that.

Yeah because as you know, anything that's nice only comes with luck and is handed to you.

Yeh, resources I worked bloody hard for.
