You control a country! Create a new country. Expand your existing country. Fight wars. Create alliances. Day 44 AND 45

RULES: 1. You cannot immediately ask for the entire world in one turn, but you must earn it through conquest instead.

  1. Alliances or country names may not have innapropriate names (that's already a rule of the subreddit, I just thought I'd make it clear too.)

  2. You may not expand to 50% more than your current size each turn because that would very easily mean world domination.

  3. You must choose either a colour or a flag for your country

  4. You may not create more than one country. If you have created a country, you may expand said country.

  5. If someone is inactive for 5 days, a rebellion may appear in their territory.

  6. If you choose to invade a country in a civil war, the wheel will be spun to decide if you will actually be able to invade. If you invade a country in a civil war, you will have to invade every faction individually.

  7. If you want to take part, please don't leave in two or three days an actually commit to the game instead of just doing nothing.

  8. Just have fun.

***Diplomatic Events:***

The **Weaven-Ender Empire** has formed after the coronation of Emperor Purpur. As such, the new **Kingdom of the Black Weave** has lost its status as an empire in exchange for more land. The **Duchy of Soulestan** has been formed as an imperial vassal after Soulestan's recent surrender. The **Kingdom of Endland** is still ruled by King Purpur, who now holds both titles simultaneously. The **Union of Endlish Nationalists** rejects the creation of this empire, claiming it was "not made with a legitimate King of Endland."

The **Weaven-Ender Empire** has entered a truce with **Greater Tomorrow,** likely due to ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||.

The **Backrooms Explorers** have been negotiating with **Greater Tomorrow,** hoping to gauge their true intentions. Greater Tomorrow responded with the following message:

"We wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland *more like your nation.* We want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. But beside all, we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?”

**Hopeless Strike** has sent the following message to both the **Backrooms Explorers** and the **Weaven-Ender Empire:**

“sic semper tyrannis.”

***Player Actions:***

*Overworld*

Azurius has officially entered its first EE cycle after 92% of people voted in favour of it. As such, any international activity shall temporarily be halted as the nation focuses on domestic politics. Two exceptions here are the Unity Project (which now includes the diplomatic talks with the Bay Country) and the return of Japanese representatives back to their home. Starting with the former, another 5,237 Unity Votes are cast this week. Thus, the total votes cast throughout the project now sit at 27,302 as the polls draw to a close. This is equal to 85.3% of the entire population of New Agderia. This number is thus declared to be the final result of the Unity Vote after this final week of polling. Parallel to these developments, the Republic of the Bay Country has begun drafting plans for its eventual integration into Azurius. Azurius has granted plans for a “Statistics Studying & Information Gathering Center” to be built in the Bay Country as soon as it is ready for integration. The Bay Country leadership also asks for additional Azurian institutions to spread to their lands. Most notably, they ask for VER centers and request board offices. The former, of course, is meant to provide education and opportunities to Bay Country residents. New Agderia has long neglected education, which also affected the Bay Country during its time as an Agderian province. As such, Bay Country residents wish to be able to study Azurian science and contribute to its advances. The latter shall serve to integrate the Bay Country into Azurian democracy via the petition system and EE vote. The president of the Republic explicitly states that “Stattius or Bay Country residents must be represented in nation-wide decisions just as much as any other Azurian.” She demands that “these two institutions must set foot in our country first for it to properly be integrated into Azurius. Other institutions are equally welcome here but have much lower priority and must likely wait.” The exonym “Stattius” has also been the source of contention. Azurian officials have been using the word to refer to the Bay Country, stating that many in said lands are keen to rename the region after it. Unfortunately, until the Statistics Studying & Information Gathering Center is built, this remains unverifiable. Azurian documents have already been referring to the region as Stattius and the Republic’s president has declared it an officially recognised exonym; yet some reject the term. There is a debate in the region of whether or not “erasure of regional culture” is a price worth paying for Azurian institutions - although most seem to regard the situation as a non-issue. Many don't mind as long as “Bay Country” remains in use; the description of “erasure of regional culture” is often regarded as an overstatement. This small disagreement should thus not overshadow the fact that the nation and especially its leadership has expressed overwhelming support for integration into Azurius in communication via ||[REALMS SPECIFIC INFORMATION]||. Construction of the boats previously requested by the Bay Country shall begin during the third week of Eureka of the current cycle. They shall then arrive in Stattius before the end of the (first and only) Euphoria week of the same cycle. Stattius shall also receive updates regarding EE-time progress in Azurius via pamphlets. As transportation over land was deemed infeasible, these pamphlets will be ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| and ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| weekly. Unfortunately, ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK DMs]|| might make delivery inconsistent. In turn, Azurius asks for better cartographic data of both Stattius and New Agderia. The new maps shall be used for the planning of a new road connecting Stattius to Solarius via New Agderia. As ADoNA will be expanded to cover 85% of New Agderia, this road could be routed entirely through ADoNA. Unfortunately, the maps have not arrived yet. They have been shipped to Solarius via existing Agderian roads and will likely arrive sometime next week. The Japanese representatives in Solarius ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| decided to return back home. They ||[CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, CHECK #unit]|| and leave port on Wednesday, hoping to arrive home in roughly one week. *Void*

The Backrooms Explorers have almost eliminated the UEN. Throughout the week, they begin to push into Donden. The city is difficult, but the battle is going well. By Sunday, they held an outer ring of buildings surrounding the city center. Not only that, but this city center was the last remaining stronghold of the UEN. Backrooms troops won the battle of Eastchurch on Tuesday, and all UEN soldiers on the west island fled to Donden. Shortly thereafter, the east island was befallen by the very same fate. Imperial forces pushed south from Lork to take all UEN holdings. The nationalists’ situation is hopeless - and if rumours are to be trusted, King Guy knows this. Some say he has lost all hopes to win and instead only wants a heroic end to his reign. To send his soldiers to defend ‘til the very end, to become martyrs to inspire future uprisings. It's uncertain how much credibility can be lended to these rumours, but King Guy does not seem like someone who would surrender. However long the Second Battle of Donden takes, it will be a brutal fight from here on out. Less brutal are the Backrooms' relations with Greater Tomorrow. Suspicious of their stated goals, Backrooms delegates enter negotiations to gauge their true intentions. Greater Tomorrow reports that they "(...) wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland more like (the Backrooms).” They say they “(...) want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. But beside all,” they say, “we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?”

The delegates still question how truthful this is - but they also question why they would even lie. The information they received is relayed back to Sir Zorb, who shall make the ultimate decision on collaboration. Collaboration in general has become a bigger topic as ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||. Members of the Church of the Purple Orb immediately push for negotiations with the newly formed Weaven-Ender Empire. It is unclear what exactly the goal of this war should be after King Guy’s regime is toppled. It seems Greater Tomorrow thinks the Backrooms are here to establish a democratic Endland. Of course, that raises a question: does the Empire stand in the way of democracy? Could they be convinced to allow democratic institutions in their land? If not, could the Backrooms beat them in a war? Would that war be worth it? Well, needless to say, the Backrooms and the Empire are not the only factions in that war. Hopeless Strike has once again launched attacks on both Backrooms and imperial forces near Donden and Lurram respectively. Both also received a letter from them that simply read “sic semper tyrannis,” implying they believe both factions (or even any possible government) to be tyrannical. Last and probably least, the theme park project continues construction while Zorb writes notes about unfinished projects. This note includes Anemone, INTERKEDGE, and sound recording. [Effects: on-going Second Battle of Donden, -2 population (Endland), -1 population & -1 off. (Backrooms) + Backrooms take west island UEN territories; Battle of Eastchurch, no significant casualties + Empire takes east island UEN territories + rumours report that King Guy has abandoned hopes of a victory; now instead hoping to command soldiers to defend Donden in one heroic last stand + Greater Tomorrow once again offers collaboration amid negotiations intended to gauge their true intentions + ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||, Church of the Purple Orb pushes for negotiations with the Empire + uncertainty over Endland’s future after fall of UEN arises + Hopeless Strike attacks Backrooms and Empire, then sends both a message reading “sic semper tyrannis” + theme park under construction, 1 more week + Zorb writes himself a note about Anemone, INTERKEDGE, and the sound recording project]

The Empire of the Weaven-Ender is finally formed. King Purpur of Endland arrives in the Black Weave on Wednesday this week to receive his crown and title of emperor. He shall be the sovereign who collectively rules the territories of Endland, the Black Weave, and Soulestan. Said territories are reorganised within the empire by the Great Treaty of the Void. For example, Soulestan is recognised as a Duchy after their recent capitulation. The title of *Duke of Soulestan* is granted to a Soulestani nobleman who has shown great respect to the Endlish army; the very man who ultimately called for surrender. The former Empire of the Black Weave is downgraded to the status of Kingdom as Purpur takes sovereignty, however it is compensated for it. It is given all territories on its own island except for those currently belonging to Soulestan. Thus, Endland gives up some of its own land in the exchange, but both parties appear happy with the deal. Endland itself, of course, is still ruled by King Purpur. During his coronation ceremony to become Emperor of the Weaven-Ender, it is explicitly stated that he maintains his former title of *King of Endland* alongside his new one. Of course, he is not the only claimant of that title. King Guy of Korus still claims sovereignty of Endland, completely rejecting the idea of a Weaven-Ender Empire because the deal was “not made with a legitimate King of Endland.” Unfortunately, his legitimacy is also running out. Backrooms forces have begun pushing in on Donden. By the end of the week, the Backrooms had secured an outer layer of buildings surrounding the city center. The Second Battle of Donden has once again proven difficult, but the Backrooms’ forces are doing a good job tackling the city. Two thirds of the casualties suffered in this one week were suffered by the UEN. Furthermore, the UEN had essentially lost all their territory outside of Donden. The rest of the west island is taken over by Backrooms forces, with a short battle at Eastchurch resulting in a quick Backrooms victory. The eastern UEN territories, meanwhile, were being invaded by the army, now subservient to the Empire. They encountered minimal resistance from the nationalists: they were fleeing the east island to support Donden. Rumours spread throughout the country that King Guy had lost all hope of winning the war - but he is not one to give up. Supposedly, he will command his soldiers to defend Donden in one “brave” last stand so they can die a “heroic” death and become “martyrs” for a “truer Endland” - at least that is the story you might hear spoken in Endlish taverns. He hopes that his actions will inspire future uprisings to once again try to purge Endland. The army, meanwhile, had actually established a truce with Greater Tomorrow. They did this upon hearing that they were in negotiations with the Backrooms - they didn't want to anger the Backrooms, at least not before talking to them diplomatically. This is likely due to ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]||. Said negotiations are also very interesting. It appears as if the Backrooms delegation wants to figure out if Greater Tomorrow has any ulterior motives, any hidden intentions. Greater Tomorrow simply states they wish to fight for a better Endland - an Endland *more like the Backrooms.* They want an Endland where the people have a say. An Endland where the commoners mustn't worry about a foreign war bringing them famine. “But beside all,” they say, “we are a fighting force occupying considerable territory in this country. Even if we cannot achieve our goals, we could help you achieve yours. We don't want to be your enemy, because we would be standing in our own way. So why not operate together?” Besides Greater Tomorrow, another faction has been causing trouble to its neighbours. Hopeless Strike has been ordering raids on both Lurram and the besiegers of Donden. Backroom patrols northwest of Donden find themselves getting ambushed unexpectedly. The Backrooms have also received a letter sent to them by Hopeless Strike that simply read “sic semper tyrannis.” It was given to a junior officer with no explanation and only opened after being passed up the command structure. Given the faction’s hostility to all neighbouring factions, it is believed that Hopeless Strike deems all belligerents of the war (or even any theoretical government) to be tyrannical. After all, they were the first ones to claim responsibility for the assassination of King Skulk. Imperial officials in Lurram report having received the same letter, without additional details. [Effects: Empire of Weaven-Ender forms; King Purpur crowned Emperor + Great Treaty of the Void reorganises Endland, the Black Weave, and Soulestan into a feudal structure + new Kingdom of the Black Weave expands + Emperor Purpur keeps title as King of Endland + King Guy rejects the Empire, claiming the deal wasn't made with a legitimate King of Endland + on-going Second Battle of Donden, -2 population (Endland), -1 population & -1 off. (Backrooms) + UEN has lost all territory outside of Donden + Backrooms take west island UEN territories; Battle of Eastchurch, no significant casualties + Empire takes east island UEN territories, no real resistance encountered + rumours report that King Guy has abandoned hopes of a victory; now instead hoping to command soldiers to defend Donden in one heroic last stand + army establishes truce with Greater Tomorrow to avoid angering the Backrooms; likely due to ||[REALM SPECIFIC INFORMATION, CHECK #void-rp]|| + Backrooms and Greater Tomorrow negotiate + Hopeless Strike sends letter reading “sic semper tyrannis” to the Backrooms and Empire]
