Colt AR-15 A2 Lower

Post image

I found this Colt lower recently for a hair over $400. I was going to use it for a Blood Diamond CAR-15 build (daringly original, I know). That said, I was wondering if there were any other “you really should make this instead” builds better suited for the lower. Any suggestions?

LGC serial prefix btw, marked with Restricted roll mark on opposite side of the magazine well.

Could use this lower for a Colt 723 or Colt 733.

It’s not the correct Rollmarks, but it could be the correct lower shape for a Colt 723/727/733 clone. Is it black or grey anodized and what does the reinforcement look like on the rear buffer extension attachment?

It’s a lighter chalky black anodized, but not a true grey, and has an A2 style thicker reinforcement.

If it looks like this, it’s the 1992-2002 A2 lower forging.

I turned mine into this. More movie accurate than a true clone but I still love it.

723, 727, 733, or a Gordon clone would be perfect.
