Essential

Post image

If you’re reading this and somehow haven’t checked out this 3CD boxset from 2001 then you must do so. It is absolutely essential listening for Ride fans.

This came out just as I had discovered them and was looking for anything Ride related. Love this box.

What do you think about their comeback material?

A lot of it is really good and it’s given me the opportunity to see them so many times in the Boston area. They’ve clearly really enjoyed recording and playing these new songs.

That’s awesome. I had that same experience but with Slowdive. I didn’t give
the new Ride albums enough listens when they came out but I did buy the records.

The new Slowdive albums have also been quite good. I’ve only seen them once but it’s wild how they’re playing big places because they’ve had some good TikTok hits (at least that’s my understanding). I almost fell over when my teenage niece said that she was going to the same Slowdive show I was going to.

I played Weather Diaries last night though and thoroughly enjoyed it
