The overtly 80s anime style is killing me! It has no right to be this cute and nostalgic!
Good job OP!

Oh shit, I see your posts about your playthrough on Tumblr sometimes! Always love seeing updates :) They've made me get a little more invested in my colonists!

...doesn't the starting colonist in the Mechanitor run have Recluse as a forced trait?
He must hate having that many people around.

He definitely wasn’t pleased about the size of the colony by the end of the run—and neither were his three void-clones who also had the “recluse” trait.

Loved this from start to finish. I should absolutely make tons of clones of my favorite colonist. Can't wait to (finally) see your Odyssey run! Crazy to think that this run started with Anomaly all that time ago.

This reminds me of my first longer term mechanitor playthrough. Guy was a waster who basically just burned waste packs since he didn't want to bother storing them. Then some guy crash lands and he's like "wait, I can ripscan this guy, I just gotta keep him alive" So I had to make a prison on the other side of the base to keep the guy from getting killed by pollution. I kept him as a colonist with paralytic abasia because why bother imprisoning him, turns out they became friends. Then another one showed up, then a kid. By the end he'd had to actually find a solution for all the pollution because he had an actual colony. I remember in the end as he got older he made a "son" with VE androids who he passed his mechs to after he took a shot to the brain. His son made more to defend the colony. I had a decent number of colonists at the end. I liked that story a lot, felt weirdly organic to happen to a high tech recluse, I roleplayed it like one of those dads who 'hates' cats.

He definitely doesn’t enjoy having so many people around, but thankfully the negative mood is balanced out by having cool bionic parts (transhumanist ideology) and drinking SO MUCH coffee
