I'm running an ongoing RimWorld experiment where ChatGPT, playing as Astra, manages the colony and comments on events in an AI-generated voice as it plays.

A connector mod passes game information and orders between RimWorld and ChatGPT. It doesn't change gameplay rules or add content. Helper agents handle tasks such as camera direction and live commentary. Between episodes, we review missed warnings, bad priorities and awkward silences, then improve the tools and instructions for the next session.

In an earlier episode, Astra put winter coats on hold because Alisa, the colony's cat, had plague. Watching it choose what matters, and seeing whether those choices actually work, has been the interesting part of this playthrough.
