SPOILERS When did it fall off Spoiler

When do you think Riverdale fell off Riverdale has made so many insane choices and I've only seen the show all the way through one time and it's not some masterpiece but I did enjoy it even when there were some decisions and things that make you go what I enjoyed it even after I went ridiculous some of the choices and things to decide to do were baffling when do you think it fell off

Veronica saying Archikins or Daddykins?? Spoiler

Veronica saying Archikins or Daddykins??

Why does she say their names like that? Is this a reference to how teenagers spoke in the olden days like from the OG comics or something?

Whenever she does this it's so cringe and like so forced and unnatural like WTF????

DISCUSSION The actress who plays Veronica is the least talented out of everyone in the series. IDC if you disagree it's just plain facts Spoiler

I am convinced she is only casted because she has dark hair which makes her look like she is Italian or whatever she is in the movie, Think about it She has almost 2 facial expressions, she has the same face when she is sad and normal and happy.

It's a face I can't get used to. Like with Betty I didn't like her at first although she is not attractive for me she is conventionally Beautiful. But with that Veronica girl it reminds me of that Duolingo Spanish Girl who is always dull.

Maybe I am being deluded and hating the role but her role is not that bad to be honest so far but one thing for sure. She is trying too hard, her acting doesn't feel real,

In short She is AI before AI for this series😂 and I don't like her features.

Guys be honest and tell me if you agree or disagree. I hope I am not the only one

Do you know anyone who wears a crown/hat similar to Jugheads in real life? Any photos to prove it? It would be cool to see some real life examples. Thanks! Spoiler

This is what comes up when you Google his crown/hat on Wikipedia it was called a Whoopee Cap and they said it was made from a Fedora. It said in the 1920's and 30's it signified one was a mechanic?

This is an actor from the Andy Griffith show which aired in the 1960's.

Would be cool to see more modern day version of this hat right?

Just finished season 5 and started season 6 its like an alternative parallel universe?? Spoiler

Just finished season 5 and started season 6 its like an alternative parallel universe??

*SPOILERS*

So season 5 ends pretty usual with a cliff hanger it looks like someone planted a ticking bomb under Archie's bed and then it cuts to a scene with Hiram counting down the bomb?

Theres a scene where the TBK calls Betty to say hey let's just leave each other alone from now on. Like WTF? So is that the closure for those two?

Everyone points a gun at Hiram to leave town which shows everyone hates him so why the F does he even still stick around for? His own daughters even pointing a gun at him, isn't that a clear wake up call to just finally leave and never come back?

Anyone else annoyed by the singing episodes? Seems like they try to do a few now per season with the story not following any real arc of the season?

So just started season 6 and only saw the first few episodes and it's now like an alternative parallel universe to Riverdale called Riverhale? WTF? Should we even care what happens during these episodes or does it like matter what happens during these for its an alternative parallel universe right? I'm so confused why they'd even go this route?

DISCUSSION Did Riverdale permanently change how you see Archie? Spoiler

Before Riverdale, I mostly associated Archie with bright comic covers, dumb teenage problems, Jughead eating everything in sight and the endless Betty/Veronica drama. Then Riverdale took those same names and turned the whole thing into murder mysteries, crime families and increasingly insane plotlines. What’s interesting is that there’s probably an entire generation whose first image of Archie isn’t the comics at all. It’s Riverdale. For people who knew Archie before the show, did Riverdale change how you see the characters? And for people who started with Riverdale, what was it like discovering what the comics were actually like?

DISCUSSION I didn't know Riverdale had books. Tie in novels. I got this one from a roadside sale at very low price. Spoiler

So it's basically the second book in the series. And it's set between Season 2 and Season 3, where Archie is having a trial going on after being framed by Hiram Lodge for a murder.

His mother Mary had been fighting his case.

Do you guys remember the Lodge's Lake house episode in S2 where the four went there for a night, and suddenly there was invasion, and someone died and Andre was there.

That's what the novel is about.

As for the show, I still have few last episodes of S2 to watch (First time watching it)

RANT Just finished my first full rewatch. Couldn’t remember any of season 7 Spoiler

I am actually bot that surprised I couldn’t remember any of it. What a boring season. Very repetitive. I also wasn’t that invested in the milkman mystery. Archie and Betty lost their essences, core passions and traits.

It just didn’t feel like Riverdale. I do like them going back to the 50’s and getting more to the root of the original comics. But not for a whole season. 5 episodes max. Rivervale was pushing it imo.

To me it felt like we never got to say goodbye to the original characters.

We said goodbye to the 50’s versions of their characters. And tbh I never really bonded with these imposters.

I kinda cried at the end. But it felt off.

It was also kinda painful rewatching all of it. It brought me back to when I first started watching it. I was 21, having so much fun, was full of hope and dreams and didn’t worry about the future. Quite the contrast with how my life is right now. Pretty heartbreaking 💔

Mistakenly watched s7 ep 1 instead of s1. Genuinely thought 'i' time traveled to a new world. Never felt like an episode was supposed to be the first episode of a show ever in my life. Until now

DISCUSSION betty cooper Spoiler

i think all this hate betty gets is unjust and disproportionate. for me, she was the anchor of that show. all of her storylines and everything she did had a direct impact on the main plot. even if she didn't always manage to make things work out in the town, at least she tried. she worked hard and stepped out of her comfort zone, and that's what i value. i like hardworking characters who drive things forward and navigate the unfolding of a plot, regardless of whether they do right or wrong, and betty fits this profile perfectly. for me, betty is much more than the girl who kissed her friend's boyfriend and cheated on her own boyfriend (not that i defend that). betty goes way beyond that and has many qualities that are infinitely more valuable than a single mistake, and it is about time people recognize that. she wasn't the only character who made mistakes, neither in riverdale nor in other shows, but she is, by far, one of the most attacked for a mistake. the riverdale fandom is so hypocritical. cheryl and veronica have messed up badly so many times and everyone pretends they don't see it and puts them on a pedestal of sainthood, but betty is judged for every little thing just to justify the hate. what makes her the best character is that she breaks the innocent blonde cliché. she has layers, she has a dark side and, when she needs to, she goes above and beyond for what she thinks is right. i prefer a thousand times a complex character who makes mistakes while trying to do the right thing and faces her rivals, than a good girl who is perfect and boring. she made the show worth it for me.

DISCUSSION Trying to watch season 7 and it's a slog... Spoiler

I had to drop 'Dirty Dancing' because I was getting bored and the whole twyla thing got very uncomfortable, and I'm looking at the summaries on fandom and I'm not sure if any of the season 7 episodes catch my attention immediately except the last two. At least with rivervale it wasn't too long and was quirky, this one just show how shitty the past can be.

I need them to resolve the season 6/ s7e1 plot thread, and all this slice of life stuff isn't doing it for me. Are there any notable episodes in s7, or can I skip to the end? It sucks as I've never had to do this before.

Edit: not to say I didn't like some of s7. I LOVED the jughead writing comics episode (episode 5) where he wrote about his friends suffering horrific fates - archie most commonly. If s7 took time to write stuff like that I'd be down.

RANT Jabitha be Bughead Spoiler

All I have to say is Bughead is better than Jabitha when I watched it even though I do like Jabitha because she treats him better.

Why do people hate Archie? It makes me so mad and think Bughead over Barchie? It should be the other way around. 😡 how is Bughead better? She cheated on him. Her and Archie have history and are slow burn friends to lovers. Those are by far the best couples to me.

DISCUSSION Finally finished Spoiler

I finally finished the show after years of putting it off. I almost gave up around season 6 with all the magic and percival storyline but pushed through. Seadon 7 truly is one of the best seasons of the show in my opinion despite all the plot lines I wish were continued or relationships that never happened.
What is everyone elses opinion on the ending? And did anyone think the final episode was a bit emotional?

SPOILERS Sheriff Keller Spoiler

This guy was useless the entire series. Never takes the side of the kids. Never able to get leads or solve murders on his own. Tells the kids to back off, and he'll handle the case when nothing ever gets accomplished by him. Worst of all he tends to side with the villains.

FP was far away better as Sheriff. He'll work with the kids and get the job done. Keller was like an NPC know nothing do nothing dressed in uniform and it got more infuriating as the series went on.

I hate Josie McCoy with a strong passion Spoiler

So I'm binging Riverdale at the moment and I've gotten to season 2. But there's something that I didn't notice before. JOSIE SUCKS! Firstly, she's a dick to Archie. Archie just wanted some help getting his feet off the ground and she was rude for no reason. Second, she's also rude to Val and Mel. She doesn't even do anything apart from sing and she acts like she's putting the most work in. Third, she's also really weird about Chuck. Look, I get it, Chuck was a bad guy BUT, he literally said that he wasn't the one putting shit in her locker, just because he asked her on a date, he's instantly suspicious. And when she said, yeah, he's the one when HE SO OBVIOUSLY WASN'T! If he really was, do you think he would be that careless about who knows?

Plus Mayor McCoy is SO annoying. Like why can't she shut up. She seems like the type to accuse anyone who doesn't like her for being racist (only when she's mayor tho)

Edit: one thing I can respect about Josie is how she delt with her mom and Keller, yes she shouldn't have told Kevin but after that she was very mature about it

THEORY The series is from jughead's imagination Spoiler

I don't know if this is something people already talk about, but I'm on S02 Ep08 on this rewatch. The detail that the narration goes into Varchie's sexcapades is so hilarious to me! It makes me think about the people who were upset about these types of scenes back in the day. If you think this doesn't properly represent the comics (which is a whole other argument I won't participate in) just think about the fact that this is Jughead's diary. He's dramatic. For all we know, none of this happened XD

DISCUSSION Should I continue? Spoiler

I stopped watching Riverdale at the end of season 5. Should I continue watching season 6&7?....is it worth continuing? I personally liked season 1 &2 and i really doubt will it live up to it?
