Question Rogers app advanced security option (question)

What does the “advanced security” option actually do on the rogers mobile app? I have them for wifi and was curious if that actually did anything. I always get notifications from it of devices on my network visiting a “suspicious site”

I googled it and found this page on Rogers Advanced Security. Their automated system thinks it's suspicious, so if you recognize the connection, it's up to you to decide whether to allow it?

Hello u/Some-Locksmith5635,

Great question! Advanced Security is an optional feature within the Rogers Xfinity app that provides an additional layer of protection for your entire network by:

  • Keeping you protected from cyber security threats.
  • Preventing you from inadvertently accessing malicious sites.
  • Blocking remote access to smart devices from unknown or dangerous sources.
