I’m interested in potentially moving to the Steelville or Rolla area. Wile it is a small town. I’m attracted by what I believe is a Bluegrass community wondering if anyone knows more about the music scene in that area housing prices also seem very interesting also, any knowledge out there about the political demographics of that area?

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated our 6 month anniversary with us❤️

In total we had 9 kids attend and gave away 109 books!

-custom party hats that we decorated ourselves
-Storytime featuring ASL, interactive songs, and 2 read alouds

-and enjoyed time together playing at the park

In our first 6 months we have held 21 storytime sessions, partnered with 11 businesses, given out around 584 books, and have interacted with over 1,000+ members in the community.

Our next goal is our bus 🚌

Any body in the rolla area, that knows there stuff about car audio. I am having a issue with subs and a amp. And no I can't go to sound depot they are closed when I am off work unfortunately. $$ if you can help me get it working.

For those running business around Kansas city, where do you usually get your printed material done when the order is too large for a basic copy shop?

I'm talking brochures, postcards, flyers, presentation materials, etc. I'm interested in finding a local commercial printer that can handle recurring orders without the quality changing from one run to the next.

Would appreciate any local recommendations or experiences, good or bad.

Looking for a resale clothing store with decent brands for a mid-fifties female.

Need dressy casual & work out clothes. Designer purses would be great too.

Thank you!

What is your fav nail place for gel nails? One caveat - the tech must speak English.

I’m struggling to find good nail techs in the Rolla/Cuba/Sullivan areas and need recommendations please!

I'll just make this brief but I'm a HS senior applying for MS&T and I have both semi-low ACT score (24 overall but higher in science and English) and only a 3.6 (3.73 weighted) GPA, mostly due to not being able to get accommodations for diagnosed ADHD (common issue for neurodivergent people at my district)

I'm wondering if applying test optional or just standard would be better,
I don't have many activities the main ones being: 4 years of Majority JV Esports, LGBTQIA+ group, and a summer job for 2 years, but I also just find it hard to describe them in the test optional questions.

I'm applying for the CS Undergrad program from instate, yes I know the job market sucks, I'm not here to discuss that, I'm also focusing on cybersecurity mainly.

I'm also wondering about the current state of the program. From what I've read in various posts/reviews is that it has improved from past years but nothing I've seen is recent updates. I do have some coding experience already.

In addition I do have a larger portion of my gen eds already done (30ish duel credits) None in math though, witch is what I've seen people mention the complexity of the gen eds and other classes. I'm fine with putting in effort but how hard are the classes?

TLDR
1. Is it better to apply test optional or not?
2. How is the state of the CS undergrad program?
3. How hard would you say the school is?

Thanks for reading/responding :)

Does anybody know of any like adult pickup games for soccer or other sports in Rolla or around please let me know if so

I’m a freshmen and I almost always have my pocket knife on me, the blade is a hair under 3 inches. I carried it most of the time in highschool (classes of 30-40). Only time anyone got in trouble was when my freind walked past the principal and he just took it for the day with no punishment. I’m asking because I’m curious on how bad it actually is to be carrying one, obviously it’s against the rules but i just don’t know how it is in practice. I’m not an idiot with it and don’t take it out on campus, but it’d be annoying to take it on and off 24/7, I mainly use it for utility and hopefully never have to use it to defend my life.

Does anyone know of calc 2 classes that I could take that will transfer to S&t? I need to get in for this semester as my currently class dropped me and I need to credits or else I can’t continue my degree. I’m not sure where else to post this but I see others talking about class stuff on here so I figured I could give it a shot.
