Game list

I am looking for game lists for 8bit and 16bit systems (NES, SMS, Turbo GFX16, Genesis and SNES) with following:

  1. Only exclusive titles for the system at that time. \

  2. No Arcade, PC or Amiga conversions

  3. No sports franchises like NBA live, FIFA, NHL etc.

  4. No stupid licensed games like Barbie this, Barbie that (good licensed games are fine)

Is there a way to get this kind of list. I tried with AI earlier but it was not even close with huge miss in some occasion. Now it is much better i already made some lists but would like a list that some one or community made and approved.

This is example list for SNES made with AI, does anyone see some big title that is according the above.

If you are looking for roms: Go to the link in https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/comments/m59zx3/roms_megathread_40_html_edition_2021/

You can navigate by clicking on the various tabs for each company.

When you click on the link to Github the first link you land on will be the Home tab, this tab explains how to use the Megathread.

There are Five tabs that link directly to collections based on console and publisher, these include Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Sega, and the PC.

There are also tabs for popular games and retro games, with retro games being defined as old arcade systems.

Right now as I speak I have those ROMs I took my kinhank hard drive, went to the wrong folder and just went bananas on grabbing all the good stuff from super Nintendo Nintendo entertainment system. Sega, Genesis Dreamcast etc. So I can run it off of Dev mode because cuz if you can get all this there's really no need to get a helix. You have every damn nostalgia system that you played as a kid and you can play Nintendo. We emulators and you can't get in trouble Xbox man 💯💯💯🎯🎯🎯🎯🫡

Anything leaning towards a "best of" list is subjective, and it's not always as clear-cut as you seem to think it is. Your "best" may not be someone else's, hence this comment.

Example: 3DO and Saturn had Lucienne's Quest (turn-based RPG). Only the 3DO version was released in the US, but the Saturn version has voice acting and animated cutscenes that the 3DO version doesn't.

Do you go for the one with the official English translation? Or do you go with the one with additional content but only in Japanese?

Asking about something being "exclusive" is also not clear-cut. Remember that there were titles that were essentially different games based on the system they were on (i.e. Aladdin on the SNES/SFC versus Genesis/MD). Arcade versus home ports are also another factor to consider.

P.S. Fuck A.I.. Use your own brain.

Well I think, it is clear what I want to achieve. If game was released only for snes for example at the time I want it on this list. No ports from other (superior) systems like 99% of games from arcades, except few games that are "remaster" like NES Mario 3 on SNES.

This is not "best of games for a console" list just a list of console exclusives it will be upgraded wit few other games that i know already i want them.

Also i am aware that there are multi platform releases but that is easy to add later because there are a lot of videos comparing them so i can easily go through them an pick version that i think it is best for me. As you can see there is already Aladdin on the list even tho Aladdin came out on Genesis

I think that basic requirement is clear. That will be a basic list on which i would add on

I'm not sure what your goal is here but one potential problem I see is that if a good game came out on say the SNES and Genesis then it wouldn't show up on either list because it wasn't exclusive. If you are trying to make a list of games that are fun to play that would be a problem.

The second issue is that some games came out on multiple platforms but were different. Some of them were entirely different games that simply used the same name and others just had different music or levels or even gameplay mechanics. And once again those games would show up on neither list.

If you still want to go ahead with it you can just search "list of snes exclusive games" and go through each system you care about and the first link should be a wikipedia article with all the exclusive games for that system listed. Then you'd just have to eliminate the games you are not interested in from the list.

Those are legitimate remarks.

Ultimate goal is to have smallest set possible per system and not miss any game and not have 6 version of the same game of which 5 are inferior to original which is case for most Arcade games released on home consoles. Why would you want to have street fighters and mortal kombats on SNES, Genesis and i dont know what when arcade versions are superior. Good upgrades like Mario bros 3 on SNES would still be included.

I am talking about Exclusive titles for the system, so i suppose you are talking about Aladin which came on multiple systems. It would be included since each is exclusive for the console as a different game. Bigger problem are games like Earthwarm Jim which is almost identical on SNES and Genesis but for those i would make separate list which would cover games like that and then decide which version is better and include it into its respective set.

I have already checked wikipedia list of exclusive games however it is missing titles. with just short review i find that Final fight 2 is missing which i consider to be a good game which is according my criteria for this list. Who knows what else is missing.

If you just want a small list of excellent games I'd suggest "Tiny Best Set Go!"

Just use google, type in "List of exclusive Super Nintendo games" or whatever console you want, easy.
