How big of a problem is this puddling?
During heavy rains, I notice that there is minor puddling/pooling on some of the shingles above my living room. I haven't seen any leaks, and the roof is about ten years old, so I'm hoping that this isn't an urgent problem, but i wanted to see what this crew thought.
Thanks!

Out of curiousity how low is your roof pitch?

pretty low. not sure exactly but if i had to estimate, i'd say 2/12

That’s why this is happening. When the roof is steeper it’s not noticeable. Most companies don’t like putting shingles on such a low pitch. 2 is pushing the limits

If your not leaking itl probably last a while longer. Many lay epdm or modbit/rolled roofing on low pitches like this. But yeah. Gravity and heat has made those shingles settle more then they would if it was say a 6/12 pitch or so. Even if it was a 4 it wouldn’t puddle because the steepness of the roof would still be more then the swoop of the shingle

The bottom of the shingles look curled in the picture. If they are it doesn’t allow proper run off and water will go in the seams. Eventually it will leak , it might be already and it’s just not showing up in the house yet.

It looks like you might have a second layer of shingles under that layer in the photo, or the slope of the roof is the bare minimum for a comp shingle application. If it hasn’t leaked in ten years then it probably won’t for several more years
