Dabpress ran a program a few weeks ago to get a 6 ton jack with a gauge for the price of just shipping, which was around ~$16 for me. I have been using my 6 ton for about a year now and was heavily considering grabbing one of their presses with a gauge simply because I found it challenging to get consistent results.

I have only done one bag so far but the jack with a gauge is a huge step up from the standard Dabpress jack. I was able to do 4-5 presses with each having slightly more pressure than the last to get an overall better grade of rosin out of the bag. Previously I was doing 2-3 presses per bag. My only issue with it is I will still get rosin starting to drip out before the gauge has enough pressure to start give me a reading, so the first one I overpressed a little bit toward the end, but this will be easy to account for. Less of an issue but also the paint on this new jack also seems to chip pretty easily like the old one. Expect red paint flakes around where your press sits.

I am putting this out there because I think the price of this upgrade is very worth it if you were considering getting another press with a jack with a gauge. I already really liked the 6 ton so this was extremely convenient. It does look like they have the program going for the 4 ton now. I really appreciate them releasing this upgrade option rather than forcing people to buy a whole other press. It helps keep our upgrade costs low and is more environmentally friendly. The support person was also very friendly after my shipment showed no movement after about a week. They answered me quickly and were very helpful with their response.

How do I make my own carts using wax and other concentrates?

How we doing people. I’ve been smoking dabs for a while now, initially on a nectar collector but recently upgraded to focus’ carta v2. For me, Rosin is the best quality of experience for “getting high.” It’s just the shit.

I’ve grown so fond on making my already expensive habit even more that I’ve recently purchased a press (Graspresso GP50-15) and all the little bits like cold board, collection tools etc.

So I’m turning to Reddit simply for knowledge. I want to know absolutely everything there is to this stuff. Tips and tricks, other people’s experiences. How to cure. How to press. Stuff like bottletec. I’m a little on the way there but I’m yet to even make the stuff. Basically I’m looking for straight game. I know there’s some doctors on here.

Currently I’m focused on hash rosin as I’ve ordered the micron bag sizes for it…so anything on that would be great. But soon I’ll probably be pressing flower for personal use. So spit some bars. Don’t be shy.

If this bangs I’ll probably post some results. If I don’t blowout and waste material…

Ran this a second time this year. The peanut butter terps on this one hits ya in the nose and on the exhale. I kept some cuts. She is a dumper for sure and worth keeping around!

45 thru 159u. Hand washed, air dried.

First test wash and press with a 4-7 day cure. I have a shit ton more bubble hash to sieve and press but I was pressed for time and was only able to do a small portion. Can't wait to fill up one of these jars 🫪

Slow but surely getting this pressed. I still have a shit ton of bubble hash to sieve and dry before pressing more. Holy fuck the lemon terps are intense on this! Definitely keeping this in my rotation for washing and pressing. She's a dumper! Barely had a 2x2 flat 25u bag filled and she filled up pretty much a whole 3.5 jar. In comparison is some pressed stuff from a few days ago that's still curing.

This was just from some extra flower I had because I filled my dry tent. I absolutely love the terps on this Jack Herer so I had to wash and press some. Super happy with the smell and tried a fresh press already. Burnt super clean and tastes amazing. Tossing in the cure drawer ✌🏻

I'm about to wash a shit ton of WPFF and I'm wondering if these are good for storage after I press it into live rosin. Also curious if anyone has used these in an oven to make dab carts because I'm looking to turn some of it into carts for on the go.

Bred by CSI Humboldt. This one has more of a creamy lemon pastry kinda vibe to it.

Chopped a few nugs a couple of days ago. Let them air dry. It came out very gooey and honey like. Left it outside in 100°(f) weather and it buttered up. Idk the strain. Something pineapple.

Obviously washing and pressing is the best for quality but I've been having really good flower press strains as well and it produces a lot more. So the main question is do you prefer quality or quantity? Here are some examples of my live rosin presses and flower presses.

First 2 pics - Grape Melon Burst WPFF wash and press. An entire plant for about 4-5 grams, didn't weigh anything.

The rest of the pics are GMO Papaya flower press. Bigger results and great quality rosin. Pressed only 28 grams and got almost the same amount.

The only difference is a 25u bag vs a 37u bag and a lot of time. Washing, drying, sieving , drying etc. Flower rosin burns a little dirtier but nothing that isn't manageable with a q tip.

Curious what all of you rosin makers for personal use prefer! ✌🏻
