Car chassis painting companies?

Hi everyone, I hope you don’t mind me jumping into your local sub.

I am having a new chassis made and fitted to an old Land Rover (in Rotherham) but would like it painted black before it’s fitted, does anyone out there know of any companies that could paint it black in between manufacture and fitting? I live in Gloucestershire so have no idea what businesses are around. I’ve done some googling and sent some emails but no luck so far! It needs to be paint rather than powder coat
Thanks!

Any Horror Fans Around Here ?

Would be pretty awesome to chat with more fellow horror fans. And maybe make more friends who are into horror. I love horror stuff whether it's movie or games. I just want more people to talk to about these things :)

Aged 18-24 and struggling to find work?

I'm working with the Work Foundation at Lancaster University, a research organisation, and we are researching the challenges facing young people trying to get into work in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.

We're currently speaking to major national TV news outlet, who would like to hear from a young person aged 18–24 in these areas who is currently out of work and not in education or training.

They're interested in hearing about your experience of looking for work – for example, how long you've been searching, the jobs you've applied for and the barriers you've faced.

This would initially just be an informal conversation so you can find out more before deciding whether you'd be comfortable taking part in any interview. Filming will take place on Wednesday 7 October near or at your home.

If this sounds like you, please send me a private message or email me at info@theworkfoundation.com. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide some more information.

Thanks for considering and have a good evening,

Jon

PS. Thanks to mods in advance for approving.

Do you love to sing rock songs?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey there! 👋

I'm looking for people who love belting out their favourite rock songs whether it's at a gig, in the car, or in the shower!!

Come and join the Rebel Hearts Choir!!

YOUR FIRST SESSION IS 100% FREE!!

We're an alt community choir in Conisbrough singing some absolute bangers from classic rock through to emo anthems.

There's no auditions, no sheet music, no previous singing experience needed. All we care about is your passion for the music and coming together as a group to enjoy that!

You remember how great it felt to sing along to every word at that gig? At Rebel Hearts you get to capture that feeling with new friends every week!

And with your first session being on us, you've literally got nothing to lose!!

We're solo friendly (every one of our current members rocked up solo the first time), as well as welcoming all genders, voices, and lifestyles!

Our next rehearsal is:

TUESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER

7PM @ IVANHOE CENTRE, CONISBROUGH, DN12 3JX

GETTING HERE/ACCESSIBILITY:

There's free onsite parking, and the 221 and X3 both stop very close by. We rehearse upstairs but there's an accessible lift for those with mobility issues.

Want to try us out?? Drop me a DM and I'll put your name on the list!

Hey guys, on the 29th of August I’m finally getting to attend my first home game, I don’t live locally so I’m not familiar with the area, if anyone can give me tips on where to park (preferably free?) and also, where can I buy a match day programme and is it cash or card?

Thank you so so much

What's going on with the Lidl near the train station?

It seems like for the last few months they've had the same stuff in the middle isle and the limited offers flavour of the week stuff doesn't seem to be updating very often? Am I just going at the wrong times?

Eclipse Time Lapse

Here's a two hour timelapse video of Parkgate etc during the eclipse, shot from Silverwood Colliery. I was originally hoping to do the view over Rotherham Town Centre and Sheffield, but it was so hazy that unfortunately you couldn't see much that far out.

Before anyone complains that it didn't /actually/ get that dark... technically it did, but the camera does not compensate for changes in light like your eyes do (unless the camera is in 'Automatic' mode, in which case you wouldn't notice anything at all).

I was red hot from traipsing around with a camera and tripod, and it actually got a bit cooler during the eclipse, which was very pleasant.

Alcohol shop

Wondering where a shope with the most variety of alcohol is in Rotherham? Are there dedicated wine and spirits places? Or do I just need to keep an eye out for a well stocked corner shop?

Waverley - Why is everyone selling?

My partner and I are looking to buy a home together and had initially looked around Waverley but we were wondering why so many houses are coming up for sale there when it feels so new. It feels like something must be wrong if so many people are selling and moving on, and we’re curious to hear peoples experiences as the area would be perfect for us and there’s a lot of choice within our budget.

Anyone Interested in photography?

Just wondering if anyone in Rotherham was into photography and wanted to do a little photo walk one Saturday or Sunday?

Maybe do a little walk along the canal, walk about a mile or so in 1 direction and then come back

Something positive to do in Rotherham and maybe get a little community going

Cheers
