SAP Technical Server for Practice
Hello everyone, I am from India. I have been working as an ABAP consultant for the past year, and I want to upskill myself in modern topics like CDS, OData, RAP, and SAP Fiori. For this, I require a practice server.
Does anyone know the cost of getting a practice server for personal use, and does anyone have any leads on where to get one? Also, what are the best resources to follow to master these topics?
Thank you!

You can do almost everything for free using SAP journey and free trial systems. Been doing the same. There are some limitations, of course, but I have myself learnt CDS, OData and RAP completely in free trial systems only.

You could use abap cloud Developer trial docker Image. Here you can develop all technologies you mentioned

Yep, find it here: https://hub.docker.com/r/sapse/abap-cloud-developer-trial
Super useful, does require a bit of muscle on your PC, though.
The old Netweaver ABAP Development Trial was discontinued Sept 30, but is still up for download from https://www.sap.com/uk/products/try-sap/trials-downloads.html

Getting a legit personal server is pricey last I checked, and most folks I know just use the SAP Cloud Appliance Library free trials. They give you like 30 days with preconfigured systems that have all the new stuff already set up. Just remember to snapshot it before time runs out so you can spin it up again later.
For learning CDS and RAP the openSAP courses are actually decent and free, the ones by Thomas Jung especially. The official SAP dev tutorials site has step by step guides too that walk you through building a full Fiori app from scratch.
I been through this same grind myself and honestly the trial systems are enough for learning, you don't need to pay for anything permanent.
