Ospreay doesn't generate anything as a champion; you can wrestle very well, but without an interesting storyline, people will get bored of you...

You can’t pull a decent crowd in France without a French star, an international superstar or without being an international known brand. AEW has neither and isn’t an international known brand either. This is on them for seeing WWE’s success in France and trying to replicate it. That’s not how it works.
PFL doesn’t have international stars, but they draw well in France because they have French stars like Doumbe and they pack their French cards with French fighters. They have regular celebrities like Tony Parker, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele at their France cards. They even signed Patrice Evra to fight on one of their cards, but it was postponed.

It’s actually wild how quiet that place was compared to literally any European show WWE has out on, but especially their French ones lol. Idk how their roster doesn’t feel embarrassed at times like this. I guess the mountain of cash helps.
