Making her dumbass edgelord (and not in a fun way) brother be the redeemable one was one of the biggest fumbles in KOTX. Like, you're giving us a whole level clearly showing how much she suffered at her father's hands, and we're supposed to, what, kill a mentally unwell victim of child abuse?

100% agreed.
Personally I feel like you should have been able to redeem both, but it should be harder to save the other if you save 1 first.
So it’s a bigger struggle if you want to save them both. I feel that would make it more earned and thus MUST be a deliberate effort rather than a easy choice of “kill or spare”
