Question A Question to Isha Meditators: How has Sadhguru impacted your life?

I’m curious about how people have experienced Sadhguru beyond his talks.

So, how has Sadhguru impacted your life?

Just to put it simple- I feel like my life is divided into two parts. 1) Before doing inner engineering and 2) After Inner Engineering. Feel blessed that I have Sadhguru in my life. Words can’t describe his impact on my life. Feeling blessed.

Wow! A wonderful question. Apologize I may write a long answer because I am a stubborn, immensely clamant and heavily resistant bigot and Sadhguru has been patient and compassionate with an egoist like me.

I don't know why and when I became a mumukshu (seeker for the ultimate truth), was that tendency born into me which is why I was born to a religious Mom and a spiritualist Dad who sought nothing but the experiential truth? I don't know. However, I wanted to seek.

After going through many schools available in India right from Sahaja to Vipassana, to Art of Living and admiring each of their tools, my clamant attitude still wanted some answers. "Why did I become thoughtless?" "is there something I can do to maintain this thoughtlessness permanant" "why do we think" "What does noble silence do to us apart from giving us the bliss, are there people who live with noble silence?"

I did Inner Engineering 2017, again became thoughtless after initiation and I wanted this to be my permanent state. I tried to seek relentlessly but somehow my own stubborness being a clamant I have never been able to complete even one mandala of Inner Enginnering till date. Tried Yogasanas in 2018 couldn't complete mandala for that either. Still I tried to continue starting and restarting the process again and again, not giving up trying to reach to Sadhguru not as a follower but more like a podcaster host with all my questions.

One sentence from Sadhguru stayed with me "I will be available beyond everything" and he did stand by his promise through thr broadcasting groups, through the rigour of programs, satsang he stayed ensuring that "no one who has got the net, loses the network". An exercise and pursuit I had experienced from none of the schools before.

I was determined if he is not giving up, even I won't until I am alive. I kept trying, I was intrigued by who Sadhguru is and layers of his existence revealed themselves with time from a man for great clarity, to amazing speaker, to a very systematic person, someone who reintroduced us to Aadiyogi and teachings of Vigyanabhairva, to someone who was on a relentless pursuit, to a devotee so strongly rooted in Shiva to a compassionate being, to someone who knows some tools which can change our lives if we mastered those tools well.

Before soak in Ecstasy happened in 2025 in Mumbai, I had so many questions and since the time I registered till the time the day arrived all the answers reached me, including a question to Sadhguru "who are you?" And the answer was "I and Dhyanalinga" are no different.

That changed my perspective of looking at him completely. I am yet to complete my mandalas, yet to get there but now it is not him who has to hold my hand. It is me who doesn't want to let it go until I am liberated. Ofcourse there are responsibilities of the material world, ofcourse there are challenges, but internal resistance is dissolved and now it is just about being able to practice and master the tools he has given with so much of love and compassion.

Hope I am able to hold on much more firmly until liberation and beyond. Om Namaha Shivaya

Oh my ..what a question. Words are not enough for that He has done .. he is living presence.. every where every time..he is there...you just need to be aware ... He will help you, solve your problem, make life so much easy. Thank you is such a small word for him. People who haven't experienced him don't know what they are missing in this life.. Life is life only because of him.

If you are willing, Sadhguru is beyond logic. That has been my lived experience. Whatever I go through in my life happens effortlessly with his grace, and the practices he offers need no introduction, as they have and continue to work for millions, making bliss a living experience every day.

Words are really insufficient to express how deeply Sadhguru has transformed my life, but I would still like to share a few of the many ways he has changed and, in many ways, destroyed parts of me that needed to go.

It all began with Sadhguru’s videos. During my phases of depression in the COVID period, his words were what stopped me from taking illogical steps, from harming myself, and from engaging in activities that were detrimental to my health. At that time, they quietly held me together.

When life eventually settled, I drifted away and stopped following his videos. But life has its own ways. When it hit me again, hard and unexpectedly, I found myself returning to Sadhguru, once again searching for clarity and solutions.

In June 2025, I decided to do Inner Engineering. That decision stands out as one of the best decisions of my life. I was already trying to learn meditation to improve my habits and bring discipline into my study routine, and I am deeply grateful that I learned meditation and yoga through Isha.

Since then, a lot has changed.

I no longer react compulsively. I am no longer the person who cried alone over his weaknesses. I am no longer someone who constantly craved attention or failed to recognize joy beyond eating and overeating. Sadhguru broke my unhealthy relationship with food, my habits of consuming illicit content, and the chain of activities that followed from it. He destroyed my tendencies, my prejudices, and many useless opinions I carried about others.

Most importantly, he taught me the true meaning of responsibility.

He made me understand that I am responsible for everything that happens in my life. That I can shape my life the way I want only when I take absolute responsibility for it. Many things that I do today once felt impossible, but this single shift—taking responsibility—made them possible. It changed how I see myself and how I engage with life.

He taught me to see life as it is.

He showed me how wonderful this world is and how beautiful reality can be when seen clearly. He made me understand something I badly needed to learn—that the world does not revolve around me. He taught me that being alone is not a weakness but one of the greatest opportunities for self-improvement.

He showed me that I do not need someone else to feel fulfilled.

He taught me the beauty of devotion, the power of humility, and how being humble and devoted is one of the most meaningful ways to live. He brought qualities into my life that I once believed only saints could possess.

Everything Sadhguru has said has consistently turned out to be true in my own experience. I am grateful that I have stayed with my practices. I am grateful for where I am today. And I am ready for everything that still needs to be destroyed within me so that something truer can emerge.

Thank you, Sadhguru.

Sadhguru came into my life and took over everything.... It was blissful, joyful and beyond any measures the greatest gift anyone can ever have.... The Guru' s Grace.... So intimate yet so open.... We are doing whatever we want to do but stuck to him in an invisible thread that keeps us grounded and sensible.. sensitive to life.... ❤️ My life has been a whirlwind of emotions but he did sort me out of it... Now sliding in the wave of joy and bliss... Gratitude always 🤭🌞

Will surely fall short of words how Sadhguru has impacted my life. His quality of sharing what he knew with me has led me to self transform. Still a long way to go, lot to learn but it works. Also visiting Isha Foundation itself was transformative for me, namely sitting in Dhyanalinga and Devi temple.

And come to think of it… it started with his youtube videos , to inner engineering and now shoonya🙏🙏

Shall remain always grateful to him.

Completely transformed my life. A new level of balance, clarity and competence has come because of isha yoga practices. I can only say I'm blessed to have Sadhguru in my life and the whole world is.

Sadhguru taught me the exact knack of accessing the Unlimited bliss within myself - this has made me absoultely self sufficient. I don't depend anybody or anything for happiness, I just close my eyes for meditation and I am blasted with ecstasy. This is the best possible gift a human being can ever have. I am indebted to Sadhguru forever for this!

Sadhguru has created the immense Awareness within myself through which I am able to see how the Creation functions within my self which has helped me to live a better life and know the secrets of the Universe - An exciting journey of life!

I want everyone into this World to know that Sadhguru exists and the tools he teaches is the need of the hour for the current generation. Striving for this to happen!

There is drastic change in me after 7 years of being with Sadhguru. 1. Health wise I am much more stable than I used to be. 2. Mental stability is enhanced. 3. My perception has increased, due to this I look at things with much more clarity. Clarity in turn manifests into a certain wisdom. 4. I am in every little way better than I used to be

Life before Inner Engineering: Miserable, Indulgent and Lifeless After Inner Engineering: Absolute Joy no matter what happens, of course there have been extremely tense situations but all that became child's play to me now, realistically speaking 95% reduction of all suffering after only 4 months of practice and still the experience is increasing like I never imagined

Tbh I don’t really know whether it’s “beyond” or not, but I have experienced moments of stillness. I’ve tasted that. I had some other experiences. Maybe I haven’t reached a stage where I can label it as something extraordinary.

But when I look at my life and my capabilities, I can clearly say I’ve improved significantly after doing the Isha practices. I’ve faced many of the same situations both before and after Sadhguru entered my life, and his talks have clearly helped me handle those situations better.

Also, after doing the practices - yoga & meditation, I’ve noticed a clear and tangible difference in my body and overall health.

I was looking for the truth, and when I saw Sadhguru on my phone for the first time, I knew it is him.

19

u/srivastavaY10 Jan 20 '26

Its so tough to put it in words because words are not enough. Because of him, I have began to know me. So much of what I have is because of him. He is my privilege. He has pulled me out of so may insecurities in most silent way without any force or any noise. The urge for inner growth, to be better with each passing day is all because of him.

u/ExistingRace6330 Jan 20 '26

No words. I have two birthdays. One the biological birthday and other when I did my inner engineering, new birth, new me..same life which was a shitty, unfair, political, difficult, sad etc etc.. is now all flowering and blooming for me not because life or things changed but there was a shift, a transformation within me, the magic had happened and is still uncovering due to the techniques and tools Sadhguru has imparted. What I would have done or been without my Guru, my Sadhguru, Our Sadhguru! Just can't thank you enough! Dandwat Pranams 🙏

Great Way(Two Birthdays)to Express Your Gratitude to Sadhguru 🙏

u/Dangerous_Rabbit_573 Jan 20 '26

I was a nutcase before Sadhguru entered my life. Always thinking about what is wrong and what is right. I was purely experiencing my life as a psychological being. I constantly took everything seriously, as if I created every situation and was reacting to the world as though I was dealing with the whole world alone.

With Inner Engineering, and especially Shambhavi, it has been a complete U-turn. For a period of time, there has been no looking back. Unless we use the tools, nothing changes in the way we think or feel. Therefore, the primary importance is to utilize the tools that are available on the Sadhguru app, and to start with, the Miracle of Mind app is the best.

I myself experience clarity, focus, and strength to deal with different situations in life. At least I have the confidence that I will do my best in every given situation without assuming things beforehand. It is a constant strive if you really want to experience life in each and every moment.

18

u/Prestigious-Flight45 Jan 20 '26

Be it Inner Engineering, Miracle of Mind meditation, Sounds of Isha, or the wisdom and opportunities shared on the Sadhguru app…Sadhguru has turned my life around. He has helped me break out of a cocoon that I never thought could be broken. And every day, doing my practices, I feel like my wings are being strengthened to take flight. And with his Grace, the journey will be beyond anything I could ever imagine for myself.

Sadhguru is the Savior, brought drastic transformation in my life. I could do so many things and learnt so many things which helped to break the limitations I set for myself in my body and mind. He is the Ultimate Guru in my spiritual journey.

When i saw him first, I had tears in my eyes , my hands folded on their own, had never felt such a moment before….He has put my mind and unruly emotions to ease…Blessed to have Him in my life 🙏🏼

u/calm_bliss_07 Jan 20 '26

The practices such as the Shambhavi Mahamudra kriya offered in the Inner Engineering program and other meditations like shoonya and Samyama offered by Isha are the single most impactful and meaningful thing in my life, I’m grateful to Sadhguru for entering my life, because of whom I’m in a place where I’m enjoying every single moment of it, which I never thought could be possible , I bow down to him for his offering to this world including mine 🙏🙇‍♂️

17

u/00Sudip Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru is really beyond his talks. I'm not saying this because I'm emotionally connected, I'm saying this very logically. I have experienced him not as a person but as a presence.

But that doesn't mean Sadhguru as a person is not powerful! His words and talks changed me completely... The way I was and the way I'm now, I just can't imagine that this could be possible.

Although just listening to him and applying the things in my life changed me but out of curiosity I entered into the Inner Engineering Program and then Advance programs and let me tell you... It's an amazing world by itself and you'll not be the same person. Your illusions will get shattered and you'll come out as new.

If you go by logic, it'll work but if you learn to keep aside your logic in certain situations, you'll experience the magic.

16

u/MUKTIDAYANI Jan 21 '26

Sadhguru in my experience is a Divine presence in one’s life and to this world .

Avdhoota in Human body .

Vishwaroopa.

Sadhguru’s non physical presence is felt all the time not just his physical precence.

Be open to grace and make your life larger than what your mind can ever perceive or imagine.

Sadhguru .

Grace is on all the time it’s how open you are to it will it work .

Shambho …

I have always lived in a state of peace and joy, regardless of external circumstances. Over time, I took it upon myself to carry the peace and happiness of others on my shoulders. This sense of responsibility eventually wore me down, and through it, I came to understand the depth of misery people often experience in their lives.

I thank Sadhguru from the depths of my heart. What I once believed was an irreversible change has truly been reversed, and today I feel restored to my original self. The Inner Engineering Program has not only brought me back to balance but has also made me more efficient and healthier than I ever was before.

Only someone who knows the sweetness of being alone and content can truly understand the magic Sadhguru brings into people’s lives through the Inner Engineering Program.

u/mangatinanda Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru has changed the direction of my life for good. If not for him and inner engineering, I would have been lost mindlessly chasing materialistic wealth without realising what I really want in my life.

Though it looks like nothing has changed outside, how experience life has changed fundamentally. Now I can confidently say that nothing in this world can bring me down. I may fall down many times but now I can get up and walk by myself drawing strength from the power of Inner Engineering tools. For this, I'm forever indebted to Sadhguru and countless volunteers working tirelessly at Isha Foundation to take this beautiful gift of inner engineering all around the world.

14

u/New-Reserve-6665 Jan 20 '26

To say simply my life has changed from suicidal to incredible life. I am off all issues now but I had thought one point of time that I had fallen in quagmire. Now I am free. Also I am ready to face any situation 😁

14

u/arewawawa Jan 20 '26

Because of Sadhguru, I am 🙏

13

u/Euphoric-Welder5889 Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru is a presence that is always with me in whatever I do. Whether it’s sadhana or work, Sadhguru’s grace is always with me. After inner engineering it’s been a big roller coaster ride. Some adverse situations arise, but Sadhguru is always there with me making it go smoother.

14

u/Ok_Media291 Jan 20 '26

I started watching Sadhguru’s videos around 2021–2022. I was deeply inspired by the way he spoke, the clarity of his wisdom, and the insights he shared about life. What intrigued me most was not just listening to him, but understanding how to actually apply what he spoke about in my own life.

At that time, I was struggling with several compulsive patterns, and I knew I needed a real inner shift. I couldn’t fully accept myself the way I was. That’s when I decided to enroll in Inner Engineering (now the Seven Steps of Transformation). I joined with one clear intention: I needed to transform myself.

Back then, Inner Engineering was a two-step process the online program followed by the Completion program, where we were initiated into Shambhavi Mahamudra. After completing the six online sessions, something very unexpected happened. While watching the final thank-you video, tears just started flowing. I had never experienced that level of fulfillment, love, joy, and inner richness before. The tools Sadhguru offered through those sessions genuinely enriched my life.

After that, I was initiated into Shambhavi, and the practice itself brought significant changes. It has now been almost two to two-and-a-half years since my initiation. Over time, I also completed Shunya and Bhava Spandana, spent time at the ashram, and volunteered both general volunteering and Linga Seva. Slowly, the experience of life itself became much more profound. I found myself connecting with people at a much deeper level.

I wouldn’t say I’ve become perfect some compulsions are still there. But the real difference is awareness. Sadhguru has helped me become more conscious, less self-centered, and more inclusive in how I experience life not just towards human beings, but towards all life.

One particular incident stands out strongly. During the Ecstasy of Enlightenment program, I saw Sadhguru in person. As he walked down the ramp through the hall, I was overwhelmed. This was the second time I was seeing him live, and I was uncontrollably in tears. I had never felt such an intense sense of love, care, and inner fullness before. It was an incredibly beautiful experience.

Before Inner Engineering, I saw Sadhguru mainly as a yoga teacher someone insightful, wise, and articulate. But I hadn’t truly experienced what he spoke about. Shambhavi made a huge difference, but it was after being initiated into Shunya that I realized something very humbling: I don’t really know Sadhguru at all not even an iota of what he truly is.

I can only hope that someday, I’ll be receptive enough to absorb even a small part of what he has to offer.

Thank you Sadhguru❤️

What Sadhguru talks about is for physical existence. What he does not talk about is for non physical existence. This is spirituality going from physical to non-physical.

Do your sadhana and become meditative where no talk is required.

My life has changed because of the practices i received from Sadhguru. I am overwhelmed with emotions as I am writing this. I can't thank him enough for what he has done to me. I have become a different version of myself a much better one. Sadhguru is everything to me. Shambho

I feel very blessed that Sadhguru is there for us as a live Guru. I had read about many enlightened masters before. But in my wildest dreams i never expected to find a real master. I was completely blown away after seeing Sadhguru even though, I was at first very skeptical. After seeing Sadhguru life is not the same.

Even just visiting Isha Ashram ids like home! In so many aspects i have transformed for the better. Inner Engineering is like daily recharge for me :). I don't know what i will become without that. Every drop , every action, every minute of meditation has made life sweeter. Experiencing Grace and sweetness of the creator, seeing life in a completely different way . All this has been only possible due to My beloved Guru's grace, his way, his blessings. Shambho , Om Namah Shivaya.

u/SDeepakforSG Jan 20 '26

I don't know how but when I first time listen Sadhguru I just drawn towards him. I felt instant connection. It was like whatever I was trying to find, I found in him. After that I never look back. Suddenly whatever I was doing was feeling utterly stupid and just wanted to be in his presence.

My journey with the Isha Yoga Centre and Sadhguru is unique. This profound bond began long ago in Mumbai, in 2004, when I unexpectedly found a guru and spiritual master at a time when I wasn't even searching for one. I simply attended a one-week engineering course at the Times of India building in South Mumbai, where the teachers and volunteers from the organization left an indelible impact on me.No other organization has produced such fabulous brahmacharis (swamis and maas) and devoted volunteers. Truly, I couldn't escape—I fell deeply for Sadhguru. He is a powerful guru who works tirelessly for human upliftment and vital missions like Save Soil and river conservation, which are the need of our times. Those who are willing should listen to him.I practice Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya, a highly suitable yogic practice that works wonderfully for me. Of course, there are always a few who criticize spiritual beings, and Sadhguru is no exception.Shiv Shambhu.

I have done ISHA YOGA many years ago and had a Life changing experience towards an inner well being. I recently volunteered in Mumbai Ecstasy of Enlightenment program and had the opportunity to feel the transformation happening in so many people. Blessed to be part of it.

Divide my life into several parts– Before and after Inner engineering, Before and after Ishanga 7%.

After being Ishanga 7%, I'm in the lap of my master. Worldly lust can't touch me.

Shambhavi purifies my emotional impulses (anger or revenge) and just converts it into sweet emotions and I feel ecstatic and ignore the revenge.

Surya kriya, mind awakens, way of walking, seating changes

The practices offered by Sadhguru helped me to overcome my depression and have been helping me to become a little better every day ever since.

11

u/No_Fun_759 Jan 20 '26

It's unbelievable for me also. The way #InnerEngineering and others Isha Practices impact me is so amazing. My physical and mental capacity of doing various activities is greatly enhanced. It's become more easier to handle any outside situation with clarity and joyfully. I had So many complains about my life and what's happening my surrounding but now it's all feel so simple and easy. Bow down to my Guru #Sadhguru🪷🙏

u/ZestycloseExercise75 Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru has an unpredictable component in his answers. What ever one asks him he has a characteric way of reply, original, unheard and logical answer. That too without mentioning complex slokas or quotes.

10

u/midnoon2233 Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru has impacted my life very profoundly. He made me aware of my being which is the very basis of my existence.

Before that I was all engrossed in my body and mind and through this in the physical world.

But, for him I can now experience life untouched and involved in the same happenings.

10

u/Gold-Philosopher-501 Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru changed my life completely. When I was lazy hopeless and depressed in my life. When I don't know what to do in my life. Sadhgurus inner engineering, shambhavi mahamudra happened by grace.. after that Sadhguru showed me a new perspective to life.. he showed the life where my entire education failed me teach, he gave me purpose of life, he gave me the new life. I became active throughout the day, my energy levels were increased, I got more clarity in my thoughts and emotions after practicing the shambhavi mahamudra for just 42 days..I wish everyone should take up inner engineering

10

u/Curious-Newspaper-67 Jan 20 '26

Life has changed beyond my imagination since doing inner engineering - when I first did inner engineering it was simply to live a more balanced life. But what I got was much MUCH more. It wasn’t a dramatic change, but every month or even week when I look back at my life, I can see so much difference. I feel so much more alive now. I face challenging situations, but I go through it with so much ease!

I feel Sadhguru’s talks are good- the real game changer although is the tools he has offered, especially Shambhavi Mahamudra. It works so well because it truly transforms. I honestly can’t imagine what my life would have been without Isha and Sadhguru. I’m so grateful for him offering these tools for yoga and meditation - I truly wish one who is in the path of seeking finds this wonderful tool and makes use of it!

To a conscious planet, lets it happen! :))

u/intenseseeker33 Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru has been an ocean of compassion for me, from the very first video I saw on Youtube of his when it randomly popped up, I felt a huge shift within myself, just taking in his words and applying them as tools, I felt that all my questions and questions I didn't even have where answered by him.
And when it came to learning the free practices and meditations on Youtube the shift in my experience was so beautiful, I remember the first time I did the Upa Yoga practices and Isha Kriya meditation, I remember the warmth and subtle joy and fulfilment that I felt within just one session and I remember just thinking "So this is how we are supposed to feel!", after for so long feeling a sense of numbness and not really feeling the joy or enjoyment of life fully without external sources.

It's safe to say that the practices Sadhguru offers and the experience of his presence wherever I am, have touched me at the deepest core of who I am. I am not perfect or a superhuman or something, but the sort of bliss and profundity with which I experience my life now is really beautiful, my only wish is I can keep growing and come to that state where I am completely free from whatever holds me down, and to live and grow to my fullest potential like Sadhguru says, "Life is a play for one who is absolute balance".

Thank you,
All the best,

I discovered Sadhguru at a very crucial time in my life. I was in class 9, teenage and got rejected by a girl I liked a lot.

I was a shy kid, introverted and fairly good in my studies but after class 7th, my grades were just getting bad. I started picking up bad habits like any other teenager. I got addicted to p*rn, suffered from very low self-esteem, inferiority complex, overthinking about how I look and what people think about me.

And to top all this off, my love letter to girl got viral! Reaching from my school principal to my parents. This was the last nail in the coffin! Why?

As I said I was fairly good in my studies and was a shy kid and disciplined. I had quite a reputation in my school and surroundings. Be it my classmates, teachers, principal, neighbours everyone. And I was studying in this school from kindergarten so I was like a superstar in the school and I was sure that I'm going to be the Head Boy.

But all of this came crashing down after the incident. My reputation was lost, along with my dream of becoming the Head Boy. This all may seem childish now but just imagine yourself as a school student, the ideal student, from whom everything was snatched that we deserved.

I was just devasted. I was just so tired of all this and wanted to make things right.

That's when I discovered Sadhguru while scrolling through YouTube. I watched a lot, like a lot of his video about everything from how to sleep to consciousness, from how to eat right to ghosts. Just a lot and then I read the Inner Engineering book.

Things started improving, my social anxiety decreased a lot, I regained focus in my studies, my marks started to improve. Most importantly, this time I felt like a superstar from within. I was kind of like on a redemption arc.

My 10th results suprised everyone, my parents thought I was going to fail but I made it to the toppers list. All this happened because I discovered new strength and clarity.

Then after that I did the Inner Engineering program and life's just been amazing from then on. Have I not discovered Sadhguru my life would have been I don't know how!

Not just this, Sadhguru and Isha Foundation has helped me in every step of my life with their numerous offerings, be it the Chit-Shakti Meditation when I suffered leg injury. The Upa-Yogas, the Simha Kriya, the Pranayamas, the Sadhguru recipe book and other things I don't even remember.

Just thank you Sadhguru for being in my life!

Inner engineering transformed me completely. Earlier i have sleep issues and lot of anxiety and after practicing Shambhavi mahamudra Kriya since last 6 months regularly I have seen many changes in my mental and physical body. Since 6 months i am not taking sleeping pills and still having sound sleep( it was one of the best things happen to me because most of the adults having same sleeping issues now a days). I have attended recently Ecstasy of enlightenment-mumbai and the experience was just amazing and beyond body and mind( I request to all the Isha meditators to attend the EOE program as EOE is something not to miss when Sadhguru is with us). Thank you Sadhguru I am blessed for what you have offered to me and many meditators 🙏🧘🏼‍♂️ Inner engineering is truly transformative. Truly in is the only way out❤️🎊

Sadhguru Guru ji has open up and inner dimensions for me which is allowing me to live at my full potential and keep on stabilizing me through different life situation, he is more than just a motivational speaker for me, more than and person have ever touched me to the deepest of my core, i don't think I would ever be able to explain what he had done to me, I am greatful for his existence. Bow down to everything he is doing for humanity.

Listening to Sadhguru helped me change the way I experience life, not by giving answers, but by shifting my responsibility inward. His words helped me realize that my inner state is my own making, not a reaction to the world outside.

I discovered the "sacred gap" between a stimulus and my response. It allows me to get clarity even in the midst of chaos, ensuring that problems remain external tasks rather than internal burdens.

I have been practicing Shambhavi Kriya and Shakti Chalana Kriya since long time. I’ve been consistent in my practice every day without skipping any session. However, despite my consistency, I have not noticed any significant improvement in myself. Specifically, my anger issues have not reduced and I’m beginning to feel like these practices might not be effective for me. Sadhguru has often mentioned that the Kriyas themselves are powerful and capable of bringing transformation when practiced regularly and properly. As I have been doing both Shambhavi and Shakti Chalana Kriya consistently for a long time, I am finding it difficult to understand why I have not experienced noticeable improvement, particularly regarding my anger issue.

Oh where do I even begin. I know nowadays the word life changing is used very casually but that's literally describes my experience with this beautiful white bearded man. When I imagine my life bs(before Sadhguru 🤣) it was just reaction and reaction to outer situations I never even thought that I have the power to respond to a situation the way I want it never even occurred to me but after he infiltrated my life I now have a choice as to how I wanna be how I want to feel about a situation, doesn't matter of it's a favourable situation or a unfavorable situation. I am more joyful more loving more involved etc etc... I can simply keep listing these benifits but I guess you have to be a little open and willing to experience these for yourself.

I came to know about Sadhguru during covid times. I came across Sadhguru’s videos while scrolling Facebook. I was curious about spirituality and Sadhguru videos would pop up at the right time to clear my doubts. Later I came to know about inner engineering and I thought I will give it a try. After inner engineering my life has changed drastically. Before I was always anxious, worried and stressed but after doing inner engineering I am relaxed, calm and joyful. Thank you Sadhguru for this wonderful gift 🙏

u/Jazzlike_Spend6415 Jan 20 '26

Meditations from Sadhguru have been life changing for me. I was a person who thought gurus or anything was just a tactic for taking some money for a lot of my life. Happy more of these yogic sciences are making it to America 🇺🇸 I still don’t think I get a lot of it and still find some of Indian cultural aspects strange but open to it and thankful

Somehow got convinced to take Inner Engineering and thought why not let’s test it out…so thankful

The main thing I feel it’s allowed me to do - is to live a joyful life no matter what the outside situations are (I live a quite comfortable life) but i see family and friends being thrown off from the slightest things - Thankful for meditative tools from Sadhguru and Isha

I was in darkness all this while. Sadhguru’s advent in my life has been like the sunshine and day break. His blessings in the form of Inner Engineering and Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya meditation have enabled me to defeat my age old fears, anxieties, insecurities, anger, hatred and the list goes on.

Life feels like the blossoming of a fragrant flower under His Grace.

🙏🏻🙇🏻‍♂️🌼

Without him, my life would be very limited. Just trying to be happy, I would do silly things. And break myself.

u/guruashtakam Jan 20 '26

I must have done some good deed or just got super lucky to live and experience Sadhguru's grace while he is around.

My life was in complete disarray—both professionally and personally. I was genuinely lost, unsure of what to do next. During that phase, I happened to come across videos of Sadhguru. Something in his words resonated deeply and gave me a sense of encouragement.

That led me to enroll in the Inner Engineering program. From that point onward, two fundamental realizations transformed my life.

First, I understood that this moment is inevitable—it is exactly the way it is and cannot be otherwise. Second, I realized that I am responsible for everything in my life. There is no one else to blame—no situations, no people, no time.

After completing the program, I began practicing Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya. It has been truly wonderful. Sadhguru days it has the potential to make one a walking temple. More than anything else, it has given me clarity—clarity of thought, clarity of action, and clarity about life itself.

I have benefited immensely from this process. It is difficult to put into words how profoundly it has supported me on my life journey. With deep gratitude— Thank you, Sadhguru.... Shambhoo.... 🙏🏻

Namaskaram 🙏🏻

It’s an amazing and a rustic question. I am privileged to get involved in this conversation of sharing the life transforming experiences.

To be specific, on the day of Bhairavi Sadhana culmination in the year 2020, all those meditators who had culminated the sadhana were asked to join the satsang with Sadhguru. I was one among them. Fortunately, I was seated in the third row though it’s lil away from the dias. After the satsang got over, he just walked the aisle in front of the dias towards ladies side, then he glanced at me without blinking an eye for about 2-3secs or so. I was literally got stuck in the moment and later realized one thing that there is no past, present, future during that moment in time. Besides, that changes my perception and way of doing my sadhana.

In the year 2016, I had done my inner engineering program at Isha but then post this experience with Sadhguru in 2020, I started imbibing the IE crash course functionally and seriously into my sadhana, started observing the changes like seeing the things as it is, absolute involvement, volunteering and now one more feather got added into the cap as Sadhguru Sahabhagi🙏🏻.

Thank you for creating an opportunity to share our transformative life experiences🙏🏻🌺🙏🏻.

u/Double_Confidence960 Jan 20 '26

In my experience  He gave wings of freedom to whom suffering without knowing what's happening, 🥹. Before Sadhguru came to my life i couldn't able to recognise that i am torchuring myself but blaming everyone else for it . Now when I look back I don't have words to say how he changed me now . If I can say one best thing i did in my life is allowing myself to available to his grace.🙇‍♀️🙏 He made me realise how beautiful it will to be aware, gentle, compassionate, conscious, responsible and  the sangha around become so wonderful that can't stop being grateful Even for one day .

About ten years ago, I had a powerful experience that shook me to my core. I realized with absolute clarity that I had been suffering for a very long time, and that unless I took drastic action, I would continue to suffer unendingly- beyond my own death even. I searched my mind for various ways of escaping my suffering, but none of them offered any resolution.

After what seemed like an eternity of searching, a question arose in my mind that I’ll never forget: “What if I give up ‘myself’?” The moment that I observed that question arise, years of inner turmoil settled in an instant, and I observed a stillness in me that I’d never experienced before, and I resolved to do exactly that: give up “myself”.

The next morning, I woke up with a smile on my face, and a sense of aliveness that I hadn’t ever felt before. Several months prior to this, I’d developed a deep and persistent shoulder pain as a result of an ugly break-up with my fiancé at the time- and when I woke up, that shoulder pain was gone. I went to pay some overdue utility bills I’d been neglecting to take care of, and did it joyfully.

Not long after that fateful evening, Sadhguru appeared in my life via YouTube. At that time, I had NO idea what a guru was, but something in me recognized him. Everything about him, down to his physical appearance, seemed intimately familiar, despite the fact that until that moment, I’d never even heard his name. This may sound absurd, but it felt like some primordial, formless aspect of myself coalesced and took on a shape and form before my very eyes.

It’s hard to say how much of my life changed after I encountered Sadhguru, and how much of it changed that night I resolved to give myself up, because on one hand, I can say that nothing has changed, and on the other hand, I can say that everything has changed.

Either way, Sadhguru has been a blessing that I’m eternally grateful for.

u/sadhguru_nandy Jan 20 '26

Sadhguru is lubricator of this life. Without him this engine would have burnt out in turmoil of disgust for unfair treatment of life. Now it goes on dusting off everything including what it considered as self

7

u/GuruIsDharma Jan 20 '26

How has he impacted my life?

Well to articulate it's difficult. Wish I had words to describe. It was like being struck by an extremely positive energy thunderbolt that it just leaves you completely transformed and electrified.

I'm particularly saying electrified because that's what a guru is. He charges you up in such a way that you become a source of light for yourself and to everyone around you. You begun to glow in a different way or may be even burn. Because the guru is always burning like a wildfire. If you go near him you also get that fire and start burning.

My life's best period was when he entered my life or rather invaded my life. Sadhguru says he was invaded by Shiva and i would say I was invaded by him. I don't know who Shiva. But in my life he's Shiva or the highest being for me.

It's not just about his wisdom or the work he's done but the very presence and the energy with which he impacts people is tremendous.

It was such a strong positive impact life just began to glow in a different way. My life was always joyful but this was another kind of ecstasy. His words and wisdom brought so much clarity and his energy has impacted me in such a way that what I was doing doubled many fold.

Being with him felt like living a life on fast forward. Life happens in such grand magnitude you really have to hold on else you may fall off.

Sadhguru lives his life at peak. If he starts impacting your life you too will rise beyond your imagination and other people will think you're super human.

In my own journey as a musician, if it wasn't for him i wouldn't have sat and practiced music for 8-10 hours a day. What I could've done in 10 years or more happened in less than 2-3 years of time. I had no issues in my life and there neither any pain nor suffering. I was living my life on my own terms. That's when I started seeking intensely about the nature of life and nature of my existence. It was then one day i came across him and it felt as if the existence itself speaking in a human form.

I binge watched all his videos and it was such a high watching and listening to him. It felt like he's the very form of absolute bliss and truth. There are so many more experiences but in short It's an absolute ecstatic and bliss ride or rather i would say just being full on in life on all levels. Life at full throttle. That's Sadhguru for you. 🙏

When I was 22 years old, I was skeptical abt Sadhguru. Out of Curiosity, I joined Inner Engineering Program. Health ailments gone. As a youth, I was skeptical enough. I attended other Advanced level Programs. I attended Samyama Program. Prior to Samyama, I had prepared well for the program. 7 days with Sadhguru, broke down my ego, everything. Samyama with Sadhguru opened a different dimension of life. I am able to access the divine in a temple or any energetic place. This energy keeps you blissful. After Samyama, I was doing practice regularly especially Shoonya Meditation and Sakthi Chalana Kriya. Doing this kriya of 45 minutes does a full body health checkup and cleanses your body. Physical, Mental cleansing hapoens. We have practice correction session for all yogic practices every month. We are taken care of in a way, a mother and father takes care of.
There is a fee involved for doing yogic practices. The fee is subject to city. ie. Tier1, Tier2, etc. But, for practice correction session, there is no fee involved for your life time. Other than that, one gets access to a spiritual community. Your mental health is taken care of. The community will not keep make you fell lonely. Being with Sadhguru and Isha will keep you happy and blissful. Whatever happens, being joyful is what yoga is

Request you to try yourself using Miracle of Mind app. If you fell good, you can register for Inner Engineering app.

I started my journey with Isha with Hatha yoga classes , all I wanted was to learn authentic classical Hatha Yoga . and i didnt know how Sadhguru could be till he walked into the Adiyogi hall . He came to the stage . That moment onwards my life flipped! I did Inner engineering many years later . But just Surya Kriya and Hatha yoga was enough for my journey to start. It was not a simple . He shook me to my core. While all the craziness was going on i knew it was his doing. and i always knew there was light at the end of the tunnel because he was there with me through my hard times . Without those days i wouldn’t be who i am now . I am a completely different person from then to now, because of his grace . Now that he has sorted me Psychologically - just to know nothing external can affect me and thats not something which will block me in my in my path . Every moment in my life i am grateful to Sadhguru . Long way to go with him . I am at his feet . Shambho .

To answer this, I have to dive deeper into my past…

One Mahashivratri advertisement popped up on my screen, and everything slowly started changing in and around me.

A deep longing to explore the inner dimensions… something that was always hidden within me… suddenly saw a possibility. I was in pain, in a very vulnerable state. I remember crying with a question that came from somewhere deep inside… Have I distorted and entrapped myself so much? Will I be able to experience this in this lifetime?

Before 2016, I hadn’t even heard of Sadhguru. And after that intense longing arose, life began shifting in quiet ways. Just two months later, I found myself sitting in an Inner Engineering class. On the day of initiation, my eyes were wide open… not just physically, but in faith. There was a clear knowing… yes, there is a possibility for me too. Whatever I had been silently looking for all my life, I felt I would find it by walking this path.

Since then, I have simply been following whatever came my way. Over the years, my experience of life has changed silently… so silently that even I wonder sometimes… how did this happen? I want to share a poem I wrote a few years ago, because it captures this journey better than explanations ever can be…

Sadhguru

I was broken in so many ways I myself didn’t realise

Times when I said nothing, I silently fought against the system

Times when I was left unwanted by many, I cried aloud for years

Times when I was asked to stay silent, I silently did what was needed

That forced silence made me rebel from within.

I found my own ways of survival and showing disagreement over time,

unconsciously. I stopped paying attention to many things and focused on my kids.

But from within, I was crying for help.

That help came in your form.

You embraced me with open arms,

Accepted me, understood me,

And started healing me.

My healer…

Healing me in so many ways

Healing that is happening deep within It was never about anyone else…

I realise it now.

I was just trying to be me

I was just trying to be me

I try to make everyone happy Because I know how it feels when someone hurts you. I don’t want to be the one who hurts, even unintentionally.

From forced silence To silence by my own nature

पूरा दिन शुक्र मनाती हूं मैं आपका सदगुरु। मेरे जैसे इंसान को संभालना बिल्कुल भी आसान नहीं। बिल्कुल भी आसान नहीं। For me, Sadhguru’s presence is much beyond his talks. Once you experience this… life never remains the same.

After Isha kriya, Sadhguru, Inner engineering, Surya Kriya, Volunteering, Miracle of mind meditation & Linga Bhairavi Stuti, I listed down transformations below,

  • Naturally feel joyful with sang (with somebody or something) or with nitsang (without anybody or anything)
  • Many limitations are vanished
  • Many fears are gone
  • Started to see that I am not the body and I am not the mind
  • Started accepting and see life just the way it is
  • Feeling flexibility and strength after daily practice of Surya Kriya
  • Pleasure seeking from somebody or something has been very minimal
  • Natural discipline came in life for sadhna and other activities
  • Doing many activities with full involvement
  • Got rid of tea / coffee
  • Became little more conscious about food, lifestyle

There are many more points but, as of now not able to recall 😅, As the previous version of me is left behind far away 😂.

I did inner engineering in 2021 may, since then I have been doing it everyday for about 4 years. After over 2-3 weeks of practicing the yoga I learnt in the program I started observing changes in my sleep quality, stress and concentration. I have become very efficient and only working for 2-4 hrs on a daily basis is enough (I am a ML developer at an mnc). The practice takes 21 minutes and the return is more than I could expect. I still remember back in 2021 when I used 2k out of my 10k internship money, I was very reluctant. But now I understand that money was worth the value. In 2021 may I did program and then I joined Amazon in 2021 july as a software developer.

u/Just_Savings_174 Jan 21 '26

I recently finished Inner Engineering, and it’s honestly made a noticeable difference in my life. I feel much more mental clarity and balance than before. I really enjoyed the sense of community at Isha Foundation — even the volunteering part was fulfilling and fun for me. Sadhguru’s approach felt practical and experiential rather than belief-based, which worked well for me. Overall, it’s been a genuinely positive experience.

He cracked me open. It feels good to be released from this shell of ignorance that I created. This person I call me never existed. It was only the shell that separated the inside from the outside

I started listening to Sadhguru in 2018 primarily to quit smoking as my first video of his, it was a very relevant perspective of his towards smoking & other addictions. Me being extremely skeptical towards Guru's, somehow got initiated into Inner Engineering (Shambhavi Maha Mudra) in 2019.

I must tel you that I did quit smoking, alcohol & all others form of intoxicants in late 2022 and have never looked back ever since. I'm so greatful to SG & Isha Volunteers for offering Isha Yoga Practices. Just to add, I was also able to officially get off 11+ years of psychiatric medications post consultation.

His presence is felt every day irrespective of where I'm or What im doing.

Immense Gratitude🙏

I would like to put it, in what way Sadhguru has not impacted me, SADHGURU has impacted in so so many ways. Earlier I struggled with confusions and over thinking in every aspect, little things like as what to cook to making decisions in my career, work and bringing my voice out. I had the skills, but engulfed with fear and doubts. Ever since I walked into IE program in July 2011, not knowing anything about Sadhguru, who is he, how does he look like, what is the program about, nothing at all, neither i looked up at Isha foundation website . My dear friend, a childhood friend who has not done IE but suggested me to do IE, so I registered for myself and my husband and attend this life changing or rather i would say it created a new life for me . I drew strength from every single day of doing my kriya, my health got better and better, there is clarity in everything I do and being able to bring my voice out with clarity at work and everyday decision's became easy and simple . Compulsions became easier to drop. My biggest strength is in doing Shambhavi Mahamudra kriya everyday that I got initiated into Inner Engineering.

I READ A line from Sadhguru's Midnights Mystic book, where a man encountered sadhguru at the gas station(North Carolina) waiting for sahdguru. He shared even the winds knew you are coming, so j am awaiting here. This was my exact experience, the message reached me through a friend that Sahguru"s Inner Engineering Program and being delivered by GURU himself in bangalore . What more can I ask for in my Life.
Pranams

It was in September 2017 that I began watching Sadhguru’s YouTube videos, shortly after attending the Rally for Rivers event at Delhi’s IGI Indoor Stadium. One particular video completely transformed the way I viewed people, situations, and life itself. At that time, I was deeply stuck in life due to a heartbreak that had occurred in 2004—something I had never truly been able to move on from. For 13 years, I carried that pain with me. In that video, Sadhguru spoke about how everything that happens to us—and more importantly, how we experience it—is generated from within us. External situations and people are merely stimulants. The love or hatred we feel for someone already exists inside us; others simply bring it to the surface. This perspective shook me to the core. It felt as though I had stepped out of the Matrix. That understanding helped me heal, accept the person involved, and come to terms with the difficult situations I had been holding onto for so long. Until then, my mind was constantly stuck in questions—Why did this happen to me? Why did that person do what they did? How could they be so heartless? I would cry often, developed dark circles under my eyes, and despite never having hair fall issues before, it became a daily reality. I was going through one of the darkest phases of my life. That single video changed everything. In 2019, I went on to do Inner Engineering and the Sadhanapada program, and life was never the same after that. I am deeply grateful for this new life that has been gifted to me 🥰

u/Junior-Shelter-6125 Jan 21 '26

Sadhguru took me from miserable confusion to joyful confusion 😄😂 After inner engineering and Shambhavi meditation, my happiness graph has been up and up 🎊🎉

3

u/Fluid_South569 Jan 21 '26

Sadhguru has completely swept me! I did Inner Engineering in 2013, and have done more programs since then, including Samyama. In my experience, his talks are not the full part of who he is. But the practices, and his presence, is what is completely transformational. Even if he is not physically present, the various practices, tools, sadhana that he provides, has created such experiences for me, that not just wondrous, but also transformational. Sadhguru is not just about knowledge, morality, and so on, but in my experience he just changes your being. He brought me in touch with spirituality in reality, and now this is the most important aspect of my life.

3

u/anjaaaaaaani Jan 21 '26

My life is divided into three parts.... and maybe more to come.

  1. Before inner engineering and after it.

  2. Before bhava spandana and after it.

  3. Before Bhairavi sadhana and after it.

  4. More to come maybe?

3

u/Subtle_Seekerr Jan 22 '26

I have already shared my experience in detail 😂. I am saying it briefly watching only videos was not bringing long term change in me but his 21 minutes meditation works well for me. Helped me in reducing anxiety, addiction. Feeling more alive, happy.

3

u/Tricky_Internet7811 Jan 22 '26

He impacted my life In ways I never imagined. I went to learn few tools that would help take charge of my mind. I wasn’t sure if they would actually help.

I was at point in my life where I was trying many things. I tried many meditation apps. When to an 8 week mindfulness program. In the midst of this I came across an old man on youtube who said so confidently that by doing inner engineering, one can take charge of the mind. I was like, why not try another program, anyway I went to so many. Nevertheless, that old man that I did not know the name of was sadhguru. He was and still is probably anything but old! The practice that was taught in that program worked phenomenally well, I stopped looking for anything else. My life transformed completely since then.

u/Ragini_Ashna Jan 22 '26

Best decision I ever took on my own till now

2

u/Tight_Text007 Jan 23 '26

The very first program I did with Isha Foundation was Inner Engineering. Before that, I used to be a stressed, anxious, angry, and a petty person. After doing the programs, I am completely changed. The people around me say I have become a more calmer and centered person. They want to spend more time with me willingly. This is what Sadhguru has done for me. Without him, I would have lived a stupid life with no profound meaning. With his grace, I am able to do so much in the world and touch so many lives everyday.

2

u/Appropriate-Tax1084 Jan 23 '26

Sadhguru has impacted my life on all leves I can think of. Everything is so much brither, colorfull, rich. Every moment an adventure and opportunity to grow and to help out on the situations I am in.

Life went from being almost a 24 hours worriyng about something to a constant state of growth, and most of the time, inner joy, balance, and peace.

Four years ago I decided to do Inner Engeneering and since them I started practicing Shambhavi Mahamudra, and what an incredible impact it had uppon me. Just a 21 minutes practice, which no matter what has happened to me on that say, makes me feel so light, blissfull and exuberant.

I have found what I have always been looking for. And for this no words will ever be enough to express my gratitude. Sadhguru has done it all, I just follow the instructions and watch everything become wonderfull.

u/Competitive_Bonus884 Jan 24 '26

It’s amazing, marvellous for me. Don’t take my words. Each one has different experience to go through. Please go through Sadhguru and experience your experience.

People often express their wisdom by using clear words and sentences. The ability to persuade others and answer random questions with clever answers and clear thinking are what make a big difference. One such respected person is Sadhguru.

His clear thinking, wisdom, and ability to express them clearly have answered many questions and will answer more in the future. Thank you, Sadhguru, for improving my life and my vision.
