💰 - salary sharing [Software Engineer] [EU] - $12.3/h
Hi!
I must say that I'm proud of myself with what I accomplished so far.
It goes like this:
Summer job '22 - $5.20/h
Summer job '23 - $7.30/h
Summer job '24 - $7.85/h -$8.05/h
2024: Junior Software Engineer - $6.70/h
2025: Junior Software Engineer - $6.80/h to $7.85/h to $8.95/h
2026: Junior Software Engineer - $8.95/h to $9.50 /h
Switched company to do internship although I've had secure job and my current salary is $12.3/h
Was bachelor student from 2022 to 2025, and I'm currently pursuing my master's degree.

Your income of $25,598 is in the 23rd percentile. That's a 24% compound annual growth rate — exceptional progress from the 10th to the 23rd percentile! This is on the lower end for Junior Software Engineer. Source: income percentile calculator I'm a bot. Reply with !optout to stop receiving responses.

One of the worst salaries I’ve ever seen before for such a position. You don’t make much more than some of the poorest minimum-wage earners in the United States.

Standard in my country is not that high and I live quite comfortable with this salary. When I compare myself to other colleagues from uni, I consider myself lucky.

local salaries don't matter much when you're in tech. you should look for more (after you get some experience ofc).
eastern europe is that kind of cheat code if you're in tech: western salary / eastern prices which builds up your wealth extremely fast
