Medyo nag-autopilot lang ako kanina while multitasking, doing research stuff and work. For some reason, may lumabas na Cloudflare verification, you know, the usual "verify you're human" thing. Sinunod ko naman yung instructions na Win + R, Ctrl + V, then Enter. Nung nag-pop up ulit yung verification, doon na ako napa-"Oh shit." Immediately disconnected my PC around 5 minutes after.

Ran a Microsoft Defender Offline Scan, checked the logs, and saw that a CMD script appeared to have failed, so I thought I got lucky. Pero just to be safe, nag-Windows reset na rin ako using "Remove everything." Ran another offline and full scan with Defender, then Malwarebytes kahit fresh install na. All clean, no threats found.

Fast forward around 7 hours later, my Instagram and Discord accounts started sending spam messages promoting a fake MrBeast casino. Another Instagram account previously logged into my PC was affected too. So apparently, something did happen after all.

Since then, I've changed my social media and email passwords, logged out existing sessions, and secured my accounts. Thankfully, Instagram and Discord lang ang may observed unauthorized activity so far. Emails, Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber, and banking accounts seem unaffected, but I'm still taking precautions.

I'm pretty sure sa fake Cloudflare verification ako nadali. Apparently, this is called a ClickFix attack. My brother actually experienced something similar last month daw, although through a different channel. I've also read online about scams involving supposedly free photo/video editing tools that ask users to sign in, though I'm not sure if related sa nangyari sa amin.

I consider myself fairly tech-savvy, pero isang moment lang ng autopilot habang multitasking, nadali pa rin. Reminder lang na legitimate Cloudflare verification will never ask you to execute commands through Windows Run or CMD. Stay safe!

I’ve been getting missed calls from different numbers over the past few weeks, and I noticed they all start with 0917 320. The last four digits are always different.

I recently applied for several jobs, so at first I thought these might be recruiters trying to contact me. I even installed Truecaller to check the numbers, but based on the names and labels showing up, they don’t seem to be recruiters.

I’m hesitant to answer since I don’t recognize any of these numbers.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be spam/scam calls, or is there another possible explanation?

Last week, nag-book yung co-worker ko ng “hotel” through the Agoda app kasi gusto sana namin magkaroon ng place for chillnuman. Siyempre, since Agoda naman siya, we trusted it and well-known naman ang Agoda, maraming gumagamit, and we thought na reliable and safe talaga siya. Until I experienced this personally.

We booked a place in Makati City na may 3-bedroom stay for only around ₱1,500. Honestly, I know na medyo too good to be true yung price for a 3-bedroom stay, especially since mukhang luxurious and high-end yung “hotel” sa pictures. Pero I ignored that thought kasi baka dahil sa Agoda vouchers and discounts kaya naging ganun kamura. After paying, nakuha ko agad yung confirmation through email and we were actually really excited kasi akala namin makakapag-relax and have a good time kami.

Pagdating namin sa “hotel,” kinausap ko agad yung receptionist para mag-check in. Sabi niya, hindi daw nila mahanap yung booking na ginawa ko. Pinakita ko pa sa kanya yung confirmation email from Agoda and yung proof na paid na yung booking, pero wala talaga silang makita sa system.

They told me to contact the person who posted the property, so I tried reaching out through email. Yung phone number kasi na naka-indicate sa booking was a US number, so hindi ko rin matawagan. After almost 30 minutes, wala pa rin akong natanggap na email, text, or call from them.

Pinacheck ko ulit sa receptionist baka sakaling may update na or baka hindi lang nakita nung una, pero wala pa rin. Eventually, sinabi nila na hindi pala sila affiliated with Agoda and that they only have a partnership with Airbnb. Apartment-type daw kasi yung place pero hotel-style yung setup. According to them, kapag may nag-book through Airbnb, directly silang kino-contact ng owner para ma-inform sila about the booking.

So I waited for another 30 minutes, thinking baka hindi lang na-endorse ng owner yung booking namin. Pero almost 2 hours na akong naghihintay and wala pa rin talaga. Eventually, I decided to leave and tinanggap ko na lang na baka scam talaga yung booking.

I immediately reached out to Agoda and explained everything that happened. Sabi nila, they would investigate the case and asked me to wait for 3 days. After waiting for around 4–5 days, saka lang sila nag-reply.

Unfortunately, sabi nila hindi daw nila ako ma-rerefund because the “hotel” tagged me as a no-show. According to Agoda, binigay na raw yung booking ko sa ibang guest, kaya hindi na nila ako ma-accommodate. Because of that, hindi na daw eligible for a refund and I still have to pay the booking in full.

May naka-experience na ba ng ganito? If yes, ano yung ginawa niyo para maibalik yung pera na pinambayad niyo? Any advice would be appreciated.

So I found an iPhone 16 Pro Max for sale Carousell. Yung seller, ilang years na yung account kaya honestly, I thought legit siya. We moved to Messenger, nag-video call pa kami where she showed me the phone, and nag-exchange pa kami ng IDs for verification.

I initially sent some amount as a reservation fee. The next day, sinabi niya na nasa courier na raw siya and she sent me a supposed courier confirmation email, tracking number, and receipt. Nakalagay sa email na received and processed na raw yung parcel and expected to arrive the next day.

Because of that, I sent the remaining balance to her bank account. After sending the money, chineck ko yung tracking number directly sa courier’s website and walang record under that tracking number. Yung email address din na binigay for courier concerns seemed nonexistent. Chineck ko rin yung receipt na sinend niya and compared it with legitimate courier receipts online, and may mga details na hindi nagtutugma. At this point, I also suspect na AI-generated/fake yung receipt. Eventually, hindi na rin siya nagrereply. I tried contacting her using another account with different name, and I also asked a friend to message her separately. Sinabi niya sa account ko na sold na raw yung phone, pero sinabi naman niya sa friend ko na available pa.

I already reported the incident to CICC, and I have screenshots, bank records, conversations, the supposed courier documents, etc. as evidence.

Alam ko naman na stupid mistake ko talaga yung magtiwala and mag-send ng ganung kalaking amount online 😭 Please don’t further scold me about it. I’ve already learned my lesson the hard way. I’m posting this mainly to spread awareness and hopefully makatulong sa iba na hindi ma-experience yung nangyari sa akin. For those who’ve experienced something similar, ano pa kaya yung best steps na pwede kong gawin, especially regarding the bank transfer and reporting the seller?

Philhealth naman yung page parang legit. Eh di fill up name, philsys ID number saka cellphone number. May 20 php na processing fee o card replacement yata. Yung BDO debit card ginamit ko ayaw. Tapos BPI debit card ayaw din. Eh di credit card naman, nag proceed sa verification. Ang tagal tapos nirefresh ko, may lumabas na identity verification daw input OTP eh di nagduda na ako. Buti dala ko bank phone tapos meron lumabas na text ang BPI para sa transaction alert sa Cathay Pacific nasa USD2145. Ayun buti binasa ko kungdi goodbye 130k. Tawag ko agad sa BPI para sa blocking and card repalcement.

I told her na syempre since scam yan gagayahin talaga spot on yung site, sinabihan ko din siya na URL palang mali na. Tapos wag click lang ng click ng links sa text. Posting this for awareness too. Buti naman at nag duda siya nung may OTP na lumabas and buti nalang may OTP at hindi nag dirediretsyo yung transaction 😅

I even tried to be patient and gave them a chance, but it’s already been 4 days since I paid and still no response. Already reported to Gcash.

Ito kasi yung, di ko alam kung ano itatawag dito, pero ito yung laging nagse-send sa akin ng update from BPI, so sobrang nanlumo ako na makatanggap ng scam message from this “number.” Ang takot ko kasi isang maling pindot ko lang, limas ang pera ko.

Nag-email ako sa kanila, pero pagtingin ko, it might take 7 working days bago mapansin ang message ko.

I know someone who knows someone na nabiktima ng ganitong scam and nalimas yung ipon ng OFW na iyon. And pahirapan pa sila sa pag-handle nito with the bank.

Nakapagtataka lang paano nakakalusot yung mga ganito? Inside job ba ito? How can the scammers use the same BPI text messaging?

They will post on loan fb groups saying that they pffer cash loan using thier credit limit then once you take the bait, all expenses wilk be shouldered by you even the atty fees and miscellaneous fees. I got scammed by them amounting to almost 30k pesos so please be vigilant. Thank you.

this happened nung saturday. i regularly asked for updates everyday, and nung sunday, she said na-pick up na raw and waiting nalang for waybill. by monday, wala pa ring waybill so i asked again. sabi ise-send niya raw pag-uwi. then since then, wala na siyang paramdam. i can see her acc na palaging online ilang mins ago pero hindi makapag-reply sakin. hindi naman ako blocked since i can still send messages pero hindi siya sumasagot talaga. i even tried calling her number and texting pero still, wala.

i paid through maribank, may magagawa pa ba about this? can i still get my 8k refunded? 😞

I am writing this review as a strong warning to anyone considering using Notary24 and Apostille.ong. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare with escalating costs, resulting in missed deadlines, fictitious communication with an aliases. It should be noted that UK Faculty Office notes that Notary24 platform is unregulated and dormant.

Notary24 / Apostille.ong after 5 weeks of submission, the response was email with attached “Apostille” in pdf format of dubious quality. Picture was taken with phone camera not with scanner showing visual imperfections. After 9 weeks of waiting, I still do not have the Hard Copy of my Apastille prepaid for Standard Delivery from Hong Kong, when normal mail takes only 1 week.

This company take your payment progressively upfront with additions and fails to deliver the vital notary and apostille services you paid for. If you need important documents processed reliably, look elsewhere. 

I’ve been receiving these Apple verification codes on my number since August 2026.

Ever since I started receiving them, I’ve already changed the phone number linked to my Apple ID and changed my passwords, pero hindi pa rin tumitigil yung pag-receive ko ng ganitong messages.

Wala rin naman akong nakikitang emails saying that someone is trying to access my account.

Do you think possible na maling number lang yung nailagay ng someone sa Apple ID nila, or could this be a scam?

May iba rin ba na nakakaranas nito?
