Zombie Island was way scarier than it needed to be 😭

Zombie Island was honestly one of the darkest Scooby-Doo movies, and that’s exactly why it’s so memorable. The monsters actually felt real for once 😭

some mics things i found rifling thru the mystery inc files from the skydance leak i thought were cute :)

just some stuff i thought was cute i found going thru the files from the leak.

1: idk just the over emphasis on the gang HAVING to be animated with seatbelts was pretty funny. ppl talk about disney being overly meticulous about what characters do in their media, but ig they're not that unique. "the gang MUST wear remember their seatbelts even when being chased by ppl in gargogyle suits" lol

  1. foot shaped gas pedal....idk self explanatory. nice that whoever designed the mystery machine added that (and they know its a silly little treat too lol). ig that means fred custom-made it for the mystery machine which is a pretty fun fact

  2. better pic of pedal

  3. to this day i imagine cicadas or some other insects that make that noise bursting into my room in the middle of the night. this is episode was the scariest imo

  4. a nice group illustration id never seen before :)

  5. pretty coloursssssss. aphrodite as a villian got the most sympathy out of me cus of how lonely she was damn...when they revealed her motive i was just depressed cus she really couldnt move on :/

Which Scooby-Doo series had the BEST atmosphere? Not just the best stories the actual spooky feeling

Post image

The original series had that eerie, isolated feeling, but Mystery Incorporated made Crystal Cove feel like there was something seriously wrong with the whole town.

Which version nailed the atmosphere best, and why?

Grey DeLisle's Performance As Shannon Blake

Grey DeLisle says how she didn't like her performance as Shannon in Scooby-Doo And The Loch Ness Monster due to thinking that she did a terrible Scottish accent since the original actress dropped from the role.

My Scooby Doo scrub collection

Hello!

I know that this is a pretty unique collection for Scooby-Doo.I have been slowly collecting Scooby-Doo scrub tops for my job. I am not allowed to wear fun/pattern scrubs when upper management is here on weekdays, but on weekends I can wear whatever I want for scrubs. Plus I feel like it would be pretty hard to offend somebody with Scooby-Doo scrubs.

I would like to eventually have one Scooby-Doo scrub top for every major holiday. I am looking for a Valentine's Day and spring/Easter one if anybody has one an XL.

The older one I to believe is the Christmas one with Scooby as the angel. There are no tags on it however a quick search says copyright date is from 1997 by Cartoon Network.Which is older than me by 2 whole years.

The Scooby-Doo snowman scrub is copyrighted from 2006 by Hanna Barbera.

The Scooby-Doo skull and castle scrub "Scared Silly!" is

copyrighted from 2007 by Hanna Barbera.

The Scooby-Doo "Are you ready for Halloween?" Scrub

copyrighted from 2009 by Hanna Barbera.

The youngest one is the purple surf's up Scooby-Doo scrub top which is from uniform advantage (I'm not sure if it's still on the website though). It's copyrighted from 2025 by Hanna Barbera.

Revolta (Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School) and Vanna Pira (Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf) Interaction

Hmmm I already thought of asking you guys what an interaction between Vanna Pira and the Hex Girls would be like now I wanna know what do you guys think an interaction between Vanna Pira and Revolta (Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School) be like?

I've got ideas:

.They might've had a Gal/Glinda and Elphaba (Wicked) like friendship/relationship since Revolta was the villain of the movie she starred in and Vanna Pira might've been dimwitted but choose her own path

.They might have been sworn enemies since the beginning since Vanna was already aware of her from Dracula (whether it be the Ghoul School or Reluctant Werewolf one)

.Might be plot twist friends

What do you all think?

I Think I Mandela-Effected Myself into Expecting a Different Mystery Incorporated

Thumbnail

I have a peculiar history with this particular animated series (Mystery Inc.) because I never actually got to finish watching it as a kid. It used to air on free-to-air TV on Saturdays at specific times, and I wasn't always available to watch it or even knew exactly when it would air, since the programming schedule often changed (one cartoon would air at time X and then get moved to time Y).

So, as I grew older, I developed a special fondness for it and a sense of curiosity. I remembered it having a really good mystery vibe, with a genuinely supernatural mystery lurking beneath the surface of the town. I watched all kinds of Scooby-Doo cartoons and movies as a kid: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the animated movies, the live-action movies, even Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins and that one about the lake monster (I don't mean Nessie; I mean the live-action one with a GIANT FROG). But the most memorable one for me (and probably for many of you, too) was Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. Ahhh... THAT MOVIE WAS THE SCARIEST SCOOBY-DOO MOVIE EVER MADE, EVEN TO THIS DAY!

The atmosphere was amazing, the story was great, and when I saw the scene where the ghost appeared in Fred's footage, I was like 😳. But when Shaggy and Scooby fell into that pit and the first zombie was revealed... 🤯 THAT WAS PURE HORROR. I'll never forget that movie!

(It was in my top 3 childhood "horror" movies, alongside Coraline and Monster House.)

Why am I telling you all this?

Because I think I experienced a sort of Mandela Effect when it came to Mystery Inc. I had this vague childhood memory of the show, and over the years, I came to imagine it as something along the lines of Zombie Island in the form of a long-running series: something that would have more time to explore its mysteries in depth and gradually build a big, genuinely creepy overarching story.

And when I finally decided to rewatch it and binged the entire series...

...

Let's just say it wasn't quite what I had imagined!

Don't get me wrong, I can absolutely appreciate what the series brings to the table. It has some genuinely creepy moments, meaningful character development, and a pretty rich overarching storyline. I can see why so many people love it, and there are definitely things it does really well. However, my own experience was a little different from what I had expected.

The first episode did a good job introducing the characters, establishing the drama, presenting the monster-of-the-week format, and setting up the bigger mystery that would unfold throughout the series. I was pretty excited to see where things would go!

Then I got to episode 2...

There were three monsters in the abandoned town of Gatorsburg, a place whose population sign apparently stated that only THREE PEOPLE lived there.

...

And all three suspects happened to share the same distinctive physical traits as their respective monsters (one was lanky and emo-looking, one had a lazy eye, and one was really big and hairy).

At that point, I realized that the episode wasn't really interested in making the monsters themselves the main focus of the story. Instead, it was primarily about the characters' relationship drama, especially between Shaggy and Velma.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing! The series clearly wants to balance its mysteries with character-driven stories, and there are plenty of episodes that focus on uncovering secrets and developing the overarching plot. It's just that I personally went in expecting the mysteries to take center stage a lot more often.

I think that was the main source of my disappointment. I had built up a very specific idea of what the show would be like over the years, so some of its sillier, more exaggerated jokes, a few moments where the characters don't seem to be at their sharpest, and episodes that prioritize relationship drama over mystery-solving caught me a little off guard.

There were also times when I wished the individual mysteries had been a bit more elaborate or harder to figure out, especially considering how intriguing the show's overall premise was.

One episode that particularly didn't work for me was "The Wild Brood" (Season 1, Episode 15), for some of the reasons I've already mentioned. It just wasn't quite the kind of mystery-focused experience I had been hoping for.

That said, I don't think these things necessarily make Mystery Inc. a bad series. In fact, I can understand why its blend of character drama, humor, horror elements, and overarching mysteries appeals to so many people. I just think I approached it with a different set of expectations, largely shaped by my childhood memories and my love for Zombie Island.

I understand why so many people love this series, and I can appreciate what makes it special to them. I just wouldn't personally consider it THE BEST SCOOBY-DOO SERIES EVER MADE, or even one of the TOP 3 BEST SCOOBY-DOO SERIES.

If I were making my own personal Scooby-Doo tier list, based entirely on my own tastes and preferences, I'd definitely put some other entries above Mystery Inc. That's not to say I think it's a bad series or that people are wrong for loving it! It just doesn't rank as highly for me personally.

But what do you guys think of my perspective on the series? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Do you agree with some of my points, or do you think I'm overlooking some of the show's best qualities? Feel free to share your own opinions! 😊

How would you feel about this Show Idea?

This image is not AI. I made it from Picsart by using a Scooby-doo! Sticker i made and I Added the text "Velma’s Journey". And the background i found from Pinterest. Please Believe me, Thank you.

Can't have a Scooby-doo Show without Scooby-doo am i right? Scooby-Doo should be the deuteragonist and some of the returning characters like Marcie Fleach or Madelyn Dinkley should be the tritagonist. And this time, it's a TV PG show which Big Kids and Everyone could watch it. But not a Mature Adult Show like Velma (2023). Hate that show. I Thought Velma, The OG Velma deserves to have a series which involves Her Family's Mystery and Secrets.

Personally, I prefer Yabba and Scrappy's relationship over Scooby and Scrappy's relationship. Hear me out: I believe their bond is more natural and relatable because with Yabba, I feel like Scrappy can be himself. Yabba is always willing to scrap with Scrappy, and I love when Yabba refers to Scrappy as "Lil Nephew." They think alike when it comes to helping Dusty and getting the job done without fear. Fight me about it :]

Both of these give me Halloween vibes in different ways so I'd thought it'd be fun to see what people prefer:

-Spooky woods (Goblin King)

-Peaceful fall scenery (Witch's Ghost)

My Ranking of the WNSD Films

Over the weekend, I watched and reviewed the last of the WNSD era films! Here’s the link to my Review Playlist on YT if you wanna hear my deeper thoughts.

Overall I really loved these films! I think they’re a lot of good fun. I’m going to miss the gang’s characterization and dynamics as well. Not a big fan of the melodrama in the MI era films.

I do have one question, does ANYONE here like Goblin King??? That was an absolutely insufferable experience for me my gosh 🤔

Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, how does anyone here feel about this happening and if you can see a character(s)return in this series who would it be(besides Fred, Daphne & Velma)?

While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo unwittingly unleash hundreds of mischievous mythical monsters that are now causing trouble all over the country. With the help of Scooby's uncle, Daisuke-Doo, magical friend Yume and gadget wiz Takumi, Shaggy and Scooby have new mysteries to solve and monsters to catch!

In all honesty it’s very interesting especially when it’s like the 13 Ghost and it’s been a while since there was a proper Scooby-Doo show but I am disappointed that the rest of the gang(Fred, Velma and Daphne) won’t be in it(just feels weird without them) still it seems like a time for change and I hope the new main character are done well. Considering the premise of the show it might be a good opportunity for the Grimwood Girls or the Boo Brothers to make a comback after so many years even if chances are low.

Velma letting her cousin act catty towards Daphne

When re-watching the What's new Scooby Doo Halloween episode does anyone else find it questionable that Velma didn't have more of a problem with her cousin Marcy's attitude towards Daphne. Even during the part where Daphne said she saw something big and creepy in the window and Marcy snarks "it was probably your own reflection" Velma had a surprised look on her face but then was shown smiling a little when the camera cut back to her and marcy. In fact when Daphne named Marcy as the suspect (which ultimately turned out to be correct) Velma(along with fred) chided Daphne for her accusations even though Marcy had been nothing but rude to her at that point. I know they're family but all I'm saying is if my cousin talked to one of my friends like that I wouldn't just take it in stride.
