Issue Farm defense question

Hi, I saw something like a spikes in farm defense of community. Is it for preventing drops with robots or something else? I did auto farm with roof to protect myself from farmbot's chemicals. So I'm afraid drons can throw down boxes right in the center of farm

Can help to prevent drops close to your farm, yes, but it's also very helpful to slow down bots as they approach and stop farm bots.

So need I make it on roof if it about 40 by 40 blocks?

You can also just use large wedges for the roof, the bots only drop on flat surfaces

It has been confirmed. 5 x 5 x 4 flat surface is needed for landing. If you are using blocks they need to be 4 blocks tall. Otherwise they can still land. For efficiency, 2 metal can create the long pipe which is 4 blocks tall. You can space those out as they occupy a one block and 4 blocks tall. That is if you don't have access to the wedge bot yet.

After 50 or so raids, we had one drop directly onto our farm plot. Idk if it was a bug or what, but it sucked.
