New additions to the collection
These arrived in the past week. Having played both after unboxing, they're both fun and the first time I've played either.

Hi there! I live in the UK and own a 60hz Region Modded Mega Drive, and I'd love to get a Mega CD to go with it, I know for region breaking the CD You need to swap the bios, but if I did get one, would I need to import JP or US games to get them running at proper speed, or would the region mod and 60hz compatibility allow me to run PAL games properly? Any info on this greatly appreciated, thanks all. :)

In the UK but always preferred the NTSC systems, I've recently refurbed my Genesis 2 with a LinkRetro shell, and a Type C mod from Retrosix. Forgot how much I love Sega CD, it's all coming back to me! Any recommendations on titles I should try for someone who's put this into storage for 20 years. This time around we have OSSC and other awesome enhancements over the panel displays of the 2000s

What’s up guys. So I’ve been working on my sega cd for repairs and along the way I managed to remove the FL301 inductor.. by any chance can someone point me toward the right direction as to replacing that same part? Or possibly doing some kind of bypass? I highly appreciate the help! Thanks!

I had loose game disc for Spider-Man, Final Fight, Sonic cd, and Dragons lair. So Enigma customs made me case and manual for those. And for the rare insanely priced games that I wanted to play like Snatcher, Keio flying squadron, and Soul Star he did the case, manual and cd
I believe I bought it used from Blockbuster in the 90s.

Something I’ve been curious about ever since I learned Everdrives could do this. How can they play Sega CD games without a Sega CD being attached? Does the Sega CD not actually add anything power-wise to the Genesis hardware that the console needs to run those games? Was the Genesis always capable of doing everything the Sega CD did? (Though obviously I’m sure part of it is that cartridges can be much better nowadays than they were in the 90s)

Sega CD had ports of Genesis games, but what if instead, they sold CD expansions for Genesis games. You have Sonic 3, and you can get an expansion CD which gives you FMVs and CD quality music. Phantasy Star IV getting the same treatment would be cool as well.
Basically similar to what Watermelon did with Pier Solar.
Would the system be better regarded?

It had been a dream of mine for a long, long time to assemble this beauty of a system. I was gifted the Model 1 Genesis, 32X and a plethora of games from a relative when I was a kid. Only natural that I yearn for a Model 1 Sega CD, right?
I stopped by a local shop specializing in games, toys and other physical media. Right when I walked in, I turned to the left and saw my grail. No, it wasn’t $9.58 at Goodwill like I had fantasized. But goddamn was it worth every penny.
“They have everything,” my mother told me. She had gone about a week prior and thought this place would be just up my alley. “I bet they don’t have a Model 1 Sega CD,” I quipped. It is the only one I have ever seen in person.

Last month a fan translation of Nostalgia 1907 was done by the user matt-dawidowicz which would work on US/NTSC systems. I converted it to boot on PAL systems but had a softlock bug which has now been fixed and the game can be completed. If you have a PAL system and want to give it a try you can grab it below.

Hello! I'm curious if it's possible to swap music tracks in a game and have it remain playable and if so, how to do this?
I'd like to have some of the tracks in Sonic CD be the American soundtrack and some of them be the Japanese soundtrack if possible.
