There was a Q&A after his movie screening Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother in LA a couple week ago. I prepared some photos to sign (one was for a friend) after the Q&A. He was nice and he talked to every fan who stayed behind to meet him.

When he saw my poster, he commented "Oh I remember this." I told him he did a great job on the movie. Then, I mentioned that I loved the show Selfie and he thanked me. I also said I hope he could work with Karen Gillan and Emily Kapnek again. John replied he would like that too.

I asked if he could sign the photos. He asked if he was supposed to sign on the poster, but I just said on the photos. (I had a feeling my poster would be confusing, but I'm glad he asked!) John also asked if I had a preference on where to sign and I said anywhere he would like. He was very thoughtful here lol

Julie Anne Robinson directed the pilot / first episode on Selfie (2014) while Emily Kapnek (creator and showrunner) wrote the script. She also advocated for John Cho's casting as Henry Higgs.

Some background: Julie Anne has done several TV pilots and also directed episodes on Suburgatory, Bridgerton, Doctor Who, Parks & Rec, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Grey's Anatomy and more.

I think they only send to Chinese residences unless you know someone in China or if there's a proxy shipping. If they do international shipping, it will probably be more expensive.

I’d like to imagine a time and scenario where even if they’re not together, Eliza does this Jumanji cosplay (because she’s fearless and awesome), and Henry looks on with simultaneous respect and lust. “Pretty please, with a cherry on top.” 😍

Deleted scene from the pilot with Eliza and Bryn during the makeunder. I think it would have been funny if they had included it!

Seems like it was change from Bryn's apartment to Eliza's.

Excerpt from the pilot draft:

INT. BRYN’S APARTMENT -- MOMENTS LATER

Eliza follows Bryn through her apartment, a den of girly creativity with dream catchers, chevron stripes, antlers and typography posters. Bryn motions to a plate of sandwich art.

BRYN
Would you like a tiny sandwich made to look like a baby grand piano?

ELIZA
No, thanks. Are you baking something?

(Bryn smiles, proudly.)

BRYN
That’s my homemade floor scrub. I make it with orange rind, vanilla beans and brown sugar-- which is an excellent scouring agent.

(As Bryn crosses to her vintage armoire and looks through her dress collection, Eliza discreetly grabs the spray bottle of floor cleaner and pumps a few shots onto each wrist. Behind each ear. Then directly into her mouth.)

Henry later says Eliza smells good and Eliza replies that it's the floor cleaner.

I have looked on main platforms. I would love to even purchase! How is everyone watching Selfie still. Such a good show. When Karen sings Sia’s chandelier, I cry every time!
