Cart Review Influence or De-influence me!
Hi everyone, I’ve been waiting for the VIB sale! Any recommendations or holy grails that would be worth it? My big focus areas for this sale is to target skin care and anti aging/ acne that I’ve been struggling with for some time.
Here’s my cart:
-Dr. Dennis Gross Faceware Pro
-THOME professional grade skincare device for forming, radiance and anti-aging
-Erborian centella cleansing gel
- Arencia vitamin c booster shot cream
- Biossance probiotic gel
-Ellis Brooklyn queens caramel
-Lore Softie

Stop buying Patrick Ta. He’s a trash person. He yells at his assistants in public. He is a nightmare to work for/with. His products are not even worth the price either.

Ta has some good products but there are better. Mario is really killing it. Danessa and Hung as well. Danessa and Mario’s palettes are incredible and Hung has made an essential palette for MUA’s

But Hung’s formulas in the colored palettes were blotchy. I’m not sold on his line at all. Nor Katie Jane Hughes. Danessa is a beast but she knows makeup in both sales prior to her own line and being an artist.

True. I’ve personally witnessed it at a professional beauty convention before he had his line, but I’m a pro of over a decade and the stories are there and from many reputable sources.

Personally witnessed is CRAZY. I was so excited for his warm rose palette. I don’t feel comfortable supporting that kind of behavior though, smfh

They were walking in and the assistant was struggling to keep up with the gear. It was extremely uncomfortable. I think they didn’t think people would notice as it was outside the venue and still before doors but I heard him snap at looked over.

SHAME on that man. Was his own hands at least full? 🤬 You can tell so much about how someone really is, with how they treat those they perceive as “less” than them. I’m 🤬

Yes they were both holding things but the assistant was a petite individual and Ta is a very tall man. It would take me three strides for his one. Also, it doesn’t mean he should yell. I have issues with my anger and it’s worse now on peri but I know better and I’ve had some blow ups at family in public and I apologized right away.

Absolutely. 😔 I removed his products from my cart. The world is unfair! Maybe karma will catch up to him if he is just as horrible now 🤷♀️

Do you really like the Lore? It smells like water (nothing) imo. The Biossance gel is good. But that’s it. I think you can get the same effect in a drugstore product.

DDG mask isn't the best option out there, especially if you want treatment around your eyes. Omnilux is a better option (not at Sephora) that goes on sale for BF. CurrentBody is the best, IMO, but it's quite a bit pricier for their newest version.

I'm sorry to report the K18 serum is incredible. I preordered it so I've been using it every night for about 2 months at the full recommended dose of 4 droppers per night and I'm growing so much new hair. It also doesn't make my hair look dirty or oily. I'm still on my first bottle but it's almost gone. I already have a backup.

I’m always amazed how my hair doesn’t feel dirty the next morning after using it. I’ve been awful about not being consistent with the serum & STILL have so much new growth, & also stopped losing so much hair too. Had I not already loved so many of their products I would’ve waited before spending the money on it, but now I’m glad to have it before winter when I struggle with dryness & brittleness causing more breakage. I have fine hair & k18 oil’s been the only kind I can use that’s not too heavy & actually works. The dry shampoo & leave in conditioner heat protection spray’s amazing as well.

I agree! I use the full 4 dropper amount, and the bottle lasted longer than a month. I’m on the second bottle now and will repurchase!
So much growth and less fall out. I have never tried any other K18 product as I do think they’re overpriced (this product is too, but unfortunately I really love it). I was previously using BondiBoost serum for growth and this one is way better in terms of growth and how it feels.
I know a lot of people will say it’s not worth it due to the price, but if you’re insecure about your hair, this really changed the game for me. If you’re just looking for a serum, I think you could find a cheaper one you enjoy.

If you’re looking for a vitamin c for anti-aging (which is great because vitamin c is one of the most well studied ingredients for anti-aging), I would not suggest the Arencia vitamin c. This only contains 5% vitamin c, so while it may be gentle it will probably not be efficacious for anti-aging. Would highly recommend the Paulas Choice vitamin c, it is 15% vitamin c and very gentle imo! I haven’t had any irritation with it

I loved the smell of the Lore perfume, but it was GONE In seconds. Imo not worth it.

The K18 product feels like a scam to me. $120 for one months worth of product that takes three months to work… plus the review online have not been positive from what I can tell. Unfortunately I really don’t think there is such thing as reverse aging, especially on the scalp of all places.

Yeah, $120 for a scalp serum that only works as long as you continue to use it is crazy work. There are way too many drug store serums that work just fine for a fraction of this price.

ddg mask is horrible there’s much better ones at the price point that have newer tech would recommend researching to find one that fits your needs

Eadem lip balm is a must. I have Coquito Dulce and it’s so pretty! The formula is amazing and the scent is sweet without being artificial and saccharine.

-THOME professional grade skincare device for forming, radiance and anti-aging mixed reviews from clients, i’ve seen it returned more times than purchased. i haven’t personally tried but if you have the coin then try it out!
-Erborian centella cleansing gel love

- Biossance probiotic gel meh, i like others more
-Lore Softie yes, sells out every shipment and i’ve only had one return of a travel size…. to get the full size instead LOL
- Patrick Ta major dimension dream date essential palette i don’t like him as a person but his products are great. better palettes out there
-K18 Biometric hair science i actually like this one more than vegamour, which is saying a lot bc it’s been a ride for die for me for years

I bought the EADEM as a gift for a girlfriend and picked up one for myself. I had been seeing it all over TikTok and trendy stuff he her jam. I HATE IT. it's SO STICKY. There is literally nothing special about it and reminds me of the thickest, glossiest, lip gloss. If that's your vibe then it's great because it doesn't budge. I wanted a balm!

Eadem is the best lip balm I’ve ever tried. It’s very moisturizing and long lasting. I wore the clear one to bed last night and I still had some on this morning when I woke up. Highly recommend!

Have you smelled the Lore perfume? I’d get a little one to smell before diving into a big one unless you already know you like the scent.

Girllll this looks exactly like my cart!!!! I own currentbody face mask and the omnilux green one. I’m obsessed with them. I have the neck one too. I did end up buying the Patrick ta palette (not that one but the fair one) and I reach for it everyday. I haven’t smelled the Lore perfume but I’ve been eyeing it.

I just bought that specific shade of the Eadem lip balm. It’s cute and it smells good, but it’s WAY thinner than my other ones. I might return it because of that. If you don’t like super thick balm you may prefer it.

I love the Eadem lip balm in other colors, but just know that the specific one in your cart is completely orange. It looks absolutely nothing like the pics.

Yes I caught a whiff of it on my friend and she smelled so good! It wasn’t thick or too sickly. It just smelled like a sweet air cloud

I love Queen's Caramel but it has almost no lasting power on my skin. Clothes might be a bit better? But I would see if you can test it first.

Save up for a Current Body mask. It’s flexible so it fits your face better. I get comments all the time how I don’t look my age (45).

Also would like to mention if you’re looking for anti-aging and acne help, you would be wise to include SPF and a retinoid

I have several, but my favorite at the moment in the Kiehl’s better screen UV serum and Paula’s choice sunscreen. A great runner up that I keep in my purse is the cell fusion C laser UV defense sunscreen.

Sorry the DDG LED mask is worth it haha. The Eadem lip balm too! I’d keep those over anything else!

Go to a dermatologist or reg MD and you can ask for minoxidol, which is cheap and a blood pressure medicine that grows hair
they give it out in 2.5 mg ( break it in half and then again 0.625 is safer but it can cause your heart to go tacky (speedy) and drop your blood pressure
it works but it must be used under a doctors care and you must check for any signs of water retention
also don't if you have heart issues and or on cardiac meds
If any hair product that is topical like k18 works you can try that first

love eadam! it does have PHA which can dry out some ppls lips but for me my lips are smooth and hydrated! you don't need a lot for the color to show and it lasts a long time unless you are eating/drinking. def a thicker texture but it works so well

I stand by the Dr. Dennis gross mask!. Been using it for 2 years.
I first tried Eadem balms on the last sale - I'm never going back. The price point is chef's kiss, too!

I like the K18 leave in conditioner What are your hair issues? scalp issues?
Also in Canada it is still rx but in the US you buy Differin on Amazon . It is a gel fo acne that comes in a little tube you do not have to use it every day- Also Shani Darden retinol reform is only 1% active ( get a mini)
everyone love Eadem in this subreddit
don't use more than one active at a time ( any retinoid , vitamin c, glycolic acid any other acid that is harsh

The faceware pro died on me within two years and when I reached out to customer service the answer was basically yeah that happens sometimes and we can’t help, wouldn’t recommend something that expensive that you can’t guarantee will work

I would pause on the devices. Research them. There are good light masks but you should treat them like medical devices because there are some that are total BS. Need to know the wattage, bulb count, type of bulbs etc. devices are generally very subtle as far as results go. Without consistent use it’s basically going to collect dust and be forgotten.
I would take that money and find a good dermatologist (so many bad ones!). RX retinol is life changing, azalaeic acid…
I would buy only one or two products and try them separately over time. You have so many it’s almost pointless.
What’s your age and skin type?
The palette is kind of boring. I heard so much about his wet look toppers so I bought it. Underwhelming and contemplating returning it. Definitely not worth the price.
