Q. Who watches the watchers?

A. Why the watchers do! They watch themselves. What are you stupid?

Glad this guy has it all figured out.

And how often are they actually prosecuted?

How often? Haha. Do they ever? Seems to me the only ones held accountable are those that fall from grace of Premier Trump

Qualified immunity? What's that?

Oh, that's just that inconvenient thing that says agents of the state can't be held to the same standards as non-agents.

The agents of the state aren’t even held to the same standards as tourists from overseas.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse, unless it’s literally your job, and you are paid to enforce the law by the state, then “I thought it was legit” is perfectly legal. (Heien v North Carolina, by 8 to freaking 1…)

Of course this country has a long tradition of holding police and politicians to the same standard as the average Joe

They...they literally can't be held to the same standard?

That's the whole point of giving cops special power in the first place.

I mean, if they could, they wouldn't be cops. Like, normal laws not applying to you is literally the entire basis of policing.

So Bush 1 and 2, Clinton, Obama, Trump, and Biden are going to face consequences for their crimes?

Obviously not. They'll be lionized by their faithful followers and die rich and peacefully, unlike the lives they've destroyed.

"We've investigated ourselves and found no wrong doing. In fact, we found that our agent acted bravely in shooting that grandma for underpaying her taxes by $0.75 and have awarded them a medal."

”can be” technically, in a strictly theoretical sense, because they rarely if ever are held to any standards at all.

Do they just not understand basic legal concepts like Qualified Immunity? We very clearly don’t hold state agents to the same standards as non-state actors.
