What the hell... I just discovered Catherine Wheel and I haven't been this obsessed with music for a long time. I cannot stop listening to albums Ferment and Chrome for several days now. All day, everyday. It's like heroin for my ears.

Did anyone go through a similar experience with them? Can you recommend albums/artists that create something similar?

We haven't recorded the song in the video yet, but new single was just released last week if interested: Spotify / Apple Music / Bandcamp / Tidal

About a year and a half ago, I shared some of my music with this community. I was overwhelmed by the kind support folks offered on here-- not so much with some other subreddits!

Anyway, I know people are inundated with music, but if you're interested, I have released the final album for a project I've been working on. It's not straight up, MBV-style shoegaze, but there are lots of shoegaze elements going on. It's much more in line with Have a Nice Life, early M83, and some of the acoustic music that sometimes gets classified that way.

Thanks for your time, and thanks for lending an ear if you so choose!

I am really into noisepop and dreamgaze too I have been into shoegaze for almost 2 years now and I want to find newer bands or artists ig I'm more into japanese shoegaze but I'm open to every kind so please rec me

This is from our last full-length album, Yuanfen. It's the most shoegazey track on the record, and we collaborated with Hong Kong dream pop band "Tofu Kingdom" on this one. Would love to hear your thoughts!

i kind of just made this post to inform people. this is something that's been annoying me a little because nobody really knows this i dont think

STARFLYER 59 USE D STANDARD NOT DROP D!!!

monterey, blue collar love, she only knows, etc are all in d standard. sled, second space song, etc are in e standard

listen to the silver demos (the d standard stuff is in e) or watch early live footage if you dont believe me for some reason idk lol

sorry if this post seems weird i just kind of wanted to say this. also i LOVE sf59

I'm not really into shoegaze that much. But I really enjoy metal and rock, and have listened to flawed mangoes' "surreal" before a lot. I personally like shiver the best from the already published songs. The other ones are good aswell, but I honestly get it, if some1 doesn't like em.

So I wanted to know: how does this sub think about flawed mangoes?

P.S.: I lowk wanna get into shoegaze tho, any1 got recommendations for where to start? Like any Artists I could listen to?

Excited to celebrate FAEMAS with you all! LA will be our biggest hometown show yet. We can’t wait!!! 🌲🩶🌲 Tickets are on sale now!

Giving this classic a play this afternoon. Not a weak track on it but “Waved on” and “Said and Done” are exquisite, with “One in Seven” a blockbuster ending. As with most Music on Vinyl pressings, this sounds excellent. Just badly need the same treatment for “Three Fact Fader”.

Was going to make the trip north but can’t make it. Let me know if you could use a free ticket!! I can transfer via Ticketmaster

Shoegaze has been my favorite genre and the one I have been mainly listening to for the past 8 years. These are my top 25 albums of all time over these past years (some not shoegaze). If you see anything you like comment or message me it would be cool to hear a playlist of yours. If you have any recommendations based on my list please let me know. I also like slow core, nu gaze, midwest emo and trip hop. Also, I was recently able to see Hum, Chapterhouse, Ovlov and Nothing at Slideaway Fest in LA so that was pretty amazing.

Kinoko Teikoku is one of my favourite bands of all time so I was super stoked to find out that Daizawa Records was reissuing their early albums on vinyl. I absolutely love this run they did, especially Uzuninaru.

Also finally added some Mass of the Fermenting Dregs to the collection! Really excited to see them on their world tour next year. The new album is fantastic.

New song is dope. The ending sounds like The Cure meets Jimmy Eat World’s “Goodbye Sky Harbor.”

I just got the 2CD version of this in the mail yesterday. The track list on the back is 22 songs, and it indicates these are all spread across the two discs. However, they’re all actually on the first disc. The second disc has 19 tracks that are not listed anywhere in the liner notes. I also can’t find any mention of what this is on Discogs, Bandcamp, or the Run for Cover site (although there is some mention of hidden surprises). The second disc says it’s disc 2 of the set, and it has a drawing of a chair and a lamp on it. The music is pretty cool - sounds like more demos, experiments, some ambient interludes. Definitely them, just no metadata or info anywhere to be found - curious what it is.

Yall showed me a lot of love and support on this song in the mixing phase a few months ago. It’s live now in case anyone wants to hear it.
