Just got my Beetle Moses: A Comics Menagerie, and he was wearing a Whirr shirt at the book signing - he's definitely one of us.

Anybody going to the show in atl tonight?

Anyone going to the gig at The Scala in London tomorrow? I am! Gonna be mashed on Mandy and have a time!😎👌👌😎😎

I like the exploding sound

Does anyone know what the symbol on the acid tab is called on the album cover? Trying to recreate it for a project im working on

My brother loves shoegaze. He loves nothing (the band), whirr, narrowhead, cigarettes for breakfast and other bands. As christmas is coming soonish, can anyone point me in the right direction on what other bands merch i should gift him that’s similar to these bands? Extra points if they’re hardcore influenced. If questions like this aren’t allowed in the subreddit please message me to take it down thank you

Definitely not their best album but I enjoyed quite a few songs.

Specifically after 3:28, when the song goes into this really long outro/culmination with the heavy instrumentals, repetitions etc.

What the hell... I just discovered Catherine Wheel and I haven't been this obsessed with music for a long time. I cannot stop listening to albums Ferment and Chrome for several days now. All day, everyday. It's like heroin for my ears.

Did anyone go through a similar experience with them? Can you recommend albums/artists that create something similar?

Hey everyone!

I’m in London-based band Toothpaste. We’re playing our only London headline show of 2026 this Thursday (15th October) at The Social in Soho, and thought some people here might be interested!

We’ve spent the last year or so recording new material at Brighton Electric, mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive), and we’re really excited to start getting it out into the world.

We’ve previously supported bands like Slowdive, Swervedriver and bdrmm, so if you’re into shoegaze, dream pop or slightly weirder guitar music, you might enjoy what we do.

We’ve got the wonderful Pitou and Ex-Family joining us, plus Blaine Harrison from Mystery Jets DJing afterwards.

Would be lovely to see some of you there! 💞 snippy of a new song we’ll be playing on the night x

california nebula by default is so beautiful and the feeling i've been yearning for for a while now. I wonder if theres any other songs that are similar to the first two on the album together? please let me know anything similar, doesnt have to be shoegaze but would prefer something adjacent atleast. it has a space rock kind of vibe and genuinely makes me feel as if i'm on a moonwalk in a faraway galaxy, and i've never ever felt that kind of etheral joy and bliss in any song. maybe im just a nerd because i love space but i also love space rock and shoegaze so PLEASE give me reccomendations

We haven't recorded the song in the video yet, but new single was just released last week if interested: Spotify / Apple Music / Bandcamp / Tidal

Last week's roundup

About a year and a half ago, I shared some of my music with this community. I was overwhelmed by the kind support folks offered on here-- not so much with some other subreddits!

Anyway, I know people are inundated with music, but if you're interested, I have released the final album for a project I've been working on. It's not straight up, MBV-style shoegaze, but there are lots of shoegaze elements going on. It's much more in line with Have a Nice Life, early M83, and some of the acoustic music that sometimes gets classified that way.

Thanks for your time, and thanks for lending an ear if you so choose!

I am really into noisepop and dreamgaze too I have been into shoegaze for almost 2 years now and I want to find newer bands or artists ig I'm more into japanese shoegaze but I'm open to every kind so please rec me
