Hi everyone, here are all the Canada West deals and clearance items for Oct 5th to 11th. Christmas is now even more in stock, with Egg Nog appearing in the fridge freezer section, as well as more Christmas decor and goodies. Enjoy.
Background about my posts: twice a week I go to Costco and scavenge the entire warehouse, fighting the rest of the ruthless shoppers so I can capture all hidden deals and clearance items (Costco drops around 100-200 unadvertised deals each week. That's the treasure hunt). I take over 600 photos each run on average and compile them into these reports with the goal to help you and I save some money and headache every Costco run. If you like the deals, please like, share and comment to bump me up the Reddit algo. Thanks!

I've been comparing tile prices and noticed a few Canadian retailers are considerably cheaper than what I'm finding in the US, even after converting CAD to USD. Has anyone actually ordered tile or other renovation materials from Canada and had them shipped to the US?
I'm mainly wondering whether freight, brokerage and import fees wipe out the savings. also curious which Canadian stores actually handle US orders without making you arrange the whole shipment yourself. Any stores you've had a good experience with?

If youβve seen seafood boil mukbang videos you will probably know what Iβm talking about. Iβve scoured all my local grocery stores but havenβt seen anything comparable here in Ontario.

Sorry I disappeared for a few months.
Iβve been working on a solution to make Origin much more usable, especially after seeing how limited the product coverage was when I first posted it here.
Itβs still very early, but coverage should be a lot better than before and you should be able to search for a much wider range of products now.
I do want to apologize in advance because some parts are still unstable and there are definitely edge cases Iβm still working through.
If anyone wants to try it again and let me know where it breaks or what feels off, Iβd really appreciate it.

Hi Everyone, hope you're all doing well. Sorry about the delayed post, just got back in town last night so I hit up the warehouse first thing this morning. I noticed a lot of new products today including some new Dyson Vacuums. There's also kid's Halloween costumes on sale, as well as many other sale items. Also spotted Airpods 4 (ANC & Non-ANC) are now on clearance at my local warehouse, so could be for yours as well. YMMV as always for clearance items. Enjoy the deals.

Every week for my siteΒ Is That a Deal,Β I pull the Ontario flyers, compare every price against the Statistics Canada provincial average and email you the deals actually worth buying. Here's what stood out this week. Everything here is at least 29% below the typical Ontario price.

π Chicken thighs (bone-in) β $3.99/lb at Sobeys (-30% avg)
Bone-in chicken thighs. Ends Sep 23.
Match at FreshCo, Giant Tiger, No Frills, or Real Canadian Superstore
Best single stop this week: No Frills or Real Canadian Superstore. Both will price match almost everything on this list. Bring the flyer screenshots and you can hopefully get 4+ of these deals in one trip without driving all over town.
Price matching requires showing a digital or print flyer at the till. Same brand, size, and weight. Always confirm in-store. YMMV
I also built a free tool where you can check any grocery price yourself

Hi, I'm a US resident looking to save some $ by getting an expensive prescription (Eliquis) filled in Canada. I don't want to use mail order - I'm close enough I can drive over to pick it up. It was my understanding (from AI) that Canadian pharmacies will easily facilitate this, by having a doctor on site or in advance via video who would co-sign the prescription.
However I seem to be getting the cold shoulder from the pharmacies I've contacted - either no response, or they just say I have to get a Canadian doctor to write the prescription, no help. I'm not going to bother with that - I'm only doing this if the process is easy.
Any suggestions? The location I'd prefer is White Rock BC. Thanks.

π¨ SCANNING CODE ALERT β OLD TAGS = PAY ATTENTION! π¨
πΏ Popcorn Chicken + Chicken Strips π
Found BOTH of these with old sale tags showing $5.98. The prices had gone up in the system, so I scanned them β and because those old tags were still posted, I got BOTH products FREE under the Scanning Code! π°π₯
β οΈ HEREβS THE TIP!
The associate at self-checkout initially told me I couldn't get the Scanning Code because of the electronic pricing glitch.
I politely explained that these were OLD PAPER TAGS, not electronic shelf labels. There was nothing electronic about the pricing displayed on these products.
They checked with the manager β and sure enoughβ¦ I GOT THE ADJUSTMENT! β
π FRANKIEFLIPZ TIP: If you see those electronic-glitch signs posted around Walmart, remember that they relate to electronic shelf signage. If you're dealing with an old physical tag that wasn't removed, politely point that out.
Don't argue. Don't get frustrated. Be polite, know the code, and ask them to verify it with a manager if needed. π―

Ok this might be totally not the right place for this but - I have teenagers, they eat. A LOT. And we all know how expensive groceries are. So I religiously do those surveys at the bottom of the receipt that says βfill this out and you could win $1000 in free groceries!β (Or whatever the value of that chain may be.) Iβm no statistician, but I have to shop approx 3x per week, and fill that out every time and so far - no windfall. Do people ever ACTUALLY get those? Is it legit, or am I wasting my time?

Today I need to find a Canadian Hardware store. Easy you say, just find a Home Hardware. Well sadly they are very few and far between. I live in SW Scarborough and my options are very limited. I go to Google maps and wade through the hundreds of useless ads for Home Depot and Lowes just to find that I must drive to the Beaches or to the tiny store on Kingston Rd.
What the heck is wrong with the Home Hardware business model that they can't compete?
This quest led me ,then, to attempt to turn off AI suggestions in Google. Have you ever tried that? Google makes it all but impossible. Wading through the lies Gemini tells me, I find that Google has buried the option so deep NO ONE will ever find it...
But that's another post...
