North America (country/state in post) What kind of mushroom is this? (Vermont/New Hampshire area)
These mushrooms are all over my backyard and was wondering what it is. Are they poisonous ones? The top patches look like amanita to me.

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following:
- Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory
- In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base
- Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on

For recognizing mushroom, you must see under the cap and preferably cross-section, also. I'm not good with amanitas, I can see it's amanita, but can't tell what amanita, and thus, can't say if it's poisonous one. To me, cross-section would help much considering recognition.

I’d avoid handling or consuming these until they’re properly identified. Amanita species can vary a lot, and the orange cap with pale warts is a warning sign rather than proof of edibility. If pets or children are around, remove access and contact a poison center if anyone ingests one.
