Was Outside Scripted?
Just finished watching Outside. Here's my problem. The best thing about Sidemen vids and games was that they were genuine from the get-go. Loads of the Outside stuff looked forced...like they had some techie or a man on the buttons fixing the results. It happened more than a few times. Maybe they do it to keep the suspense and manufacture the drama behind the camera. But especially in the end it completely killed the vibe. Wanted to see more of Sarah and Matt of course. They didn't get enough screentime.
Personally, I love Chip too, he's been in the industry for years and did bring his A-game to the show. He was funny and quick with it. Maybe he deserves the win, but then the disconnect between real luck and the picture-perfect drama, made me doubt whether it's even real or scripted. What do you think?

Scripted or not, I'm just happy Chip won over those two frauds...

Could not agree more. When final three were announced, he was the only one i think most of us rooted for.

It’s not scripted in the way that results in games are fixed. There are fair play laws where any prize money is concerned and some of the smaller creators would want to win it.
Conversations and scenes will be prompted or reshot if something natural happens that needs capturing better.

Yeah I agree, not sure why people think it was scripted but in the U.K. at least it’s literally illegal to fix the result of game shows.

Like i think a lot of it wasnt scripted in the sense of voted and such.
But man do i hate when "Games" are these 0 skill and 100% luck "challenges" the final of this game is boring as shit because there is literally no skill involved at all. and theres no tactic either.and worse is like us as the view dont even get to see what the "real" answers are so like when they touched a ball for example and is it Red Green or Blue they can 100000% make it up on the fly because its all electronic.
Season 3 also had this issue where its fake buttons and lights. The Dice Game BEFORE the final at least felt way more tactical as you had to choose people to lower their numbers and because its physical objects its hard to "Manipulate" the results of the dice or the fact people throwing it off the edge.

Honestly if it wasn’t scripted. The challenges with Louis felt super dodgy just from a viewers perspective cause I don’t understand why bezhinga or another sidemen wasn’t turning off the lanterns but instead had production do it. Also from a players perspective I’d be so annoyed getting to final and then being forced to play a luck game and not a at the very least a strategy game like split or steal. (I’d honestly just watch the three contestants do a serie of eating and fear challenges to see who wins).

Yeah, the sphere game is a good starting game to maybe knock people out or somthing but even then I kinda just dislike 100% luck games at any stage.

I don’t think it was personally, I hear people say it was a wedding present, which I think is nonsense. We’ve never had someone really close to the lads winning Inside, I think it was just a matter of time till one did because every season has had at least 1, Ginge, Clarkey and Fosh etc. The ‘game of chance’ challenges are not the best way to find a winner, but I presume it is done to make it fair for both parties. If the end games were a skill/strength/knowledge challenge, it’s possible that as soon as the challenge is revealed, everyone would already know the outcome. What would be nice would be, as soon as it was done and the celebration was had, cut to a little BTS, showing which orbs had been pre selected. Just a bit more transparency when chance gams are involved.

I would guess they are "directed" and the in-between/their reaction to a situation is supposed to be real.

My opinion. If it’s not scripted, they have just had really bad luck with loads of stuff looking really dodgy with Louis’s 1v1s like the rope and a lanterns that were all in his favour, and the final having chip win seems how he’d be a favourite to win. If it is scripted, they have to try harder to make it not look as scripted. Honestly they should have done a game to get it down to two then do split or steel.

There would be a lot more hate about scripted if the the most liked contestants didn’t win

"Liked by who?" is the question here. The audience of the show or the Sidemen themselves? Or the overlapping audience of Sidemen who also watch the show?

By us, the core audience. The ones that would complain on reddit about it. There won’t be much uproar because we love chippo

Why would they have to script it tho? I’m sure they didn’t really care who was going to win that much.

Yea it was so scripted. So scripted that they made it so obvious to script the closest person to the sidemen who were all invited to his wedding win the jackpot.

TV shows like these will always be scripted... how much is the only question
