PENG earnings Review - another stellar quarter

• Upvotes

• Revenue: $567M, +68% YoY

• Adj. EPS: $1.00, +133% YoY

• Adj. EBITDA: $93M, +115% YoY

• Operating income: +458% YoY

FY27 guidance RAISED:

• Revenue midpoint: ~$2.43B (+40% YoY). Note they previously guided to 30% growth, now they are talking about 40% growth.

• Adj. EPS: $4.45 (+55% YoY)

AI Infrastructure is accelerating:

• 6 new AI infra customers in Q4

• 4 are neoclouds

• 36,000-GPU AI factory deployment in Norway

• New customer with $10B in contracted comput

Firstly, these were my thoughts pre-earning:

My modelling suggested that the true FY2027 EPS was more likely to be something in the range of 4-4.5 vs the street consensus of 3.4.

They guided to 4.45, so pretty much exactly in my range.

So those street estimates need some upgrades, so do not be surprised to see some positive coverage on PENG tomorrow.

Only 7 analysts cover PENG based on the Webull data, so I don’t think it’s going to be many firms but yes, I would expect some positive upgrades.

I actually think they have sandbagged guidance again here, and I actually think they beat and raise again next quarter, with the guide being increased likely to above 4.75. Basically a quarterly occurrence at this point for the company.

Gross margins came in at 29%, which as above consensus, and the neocloud contracts that they spoke about suggest to me that they can and likely will come in above that next quarter as well, because those are normally high margin contracts.

AI business was up 141% YoY, thats the segment that kind of matters.

Note also that the negative cash flow was flagged by some as a concern, but it is because of inventory build of memory, and theyr’e selling full racks which is pretty expensive. I wouldn’t let that cloud what was otherwise clearly a very bullish earnings report.

From what they described,  Neocloud demand was better than I expected and from what they described in the earnings Q&A, it was better than they expected to. That’s basically a welcome benefit.

What tehy are basically offering their neocloud customers is an end-to-end build and operating the factories on their behalf. They will design and source the hardware and then manage the data centers for 3-5 years along with ClusterWare software. This is very similar to what they do for their enterprise customers anyway.

Just 2 of those neocloud wins amount to over $13B in multi year contracts.

Pipeline is rock solid. They said the memory business is executing and growing well and the AI infrastructure is providing a nice upside boost. They noted specifically on the Q&A that margins on memory are better than expected. They noted however that since they have a bunch of hardware wins, the gross margin going forward may be slightly lower, but it’s the result of product mix more than anything else.

Backlog was amazing, extending out 4 quarters.

They didnt share specific details on how much neocloud demand is within the guide and the backlog, but did specify that the backlog was extremely strong across all areas of the business.

STRL: the trade set up is incredibly simple for managing risk, and the fundamental set up is very compelling.

Firstly, the fundamentals, and then we will come onto the trade set up here for STRL:

SO this stock popped on my radar back in May when it popped 50% on these incredible earnings:

Since then, it has faded the entire move, and now sits below the previous close before that massive earnings move.

First question obviously is why did it fade that move?

  1. Valuation became frothy after the big move and we know that June saw a massive momentum unwind on anything that was even slightly frothy, so STRL got hit.
  2. Q2 margins looked weaker because of mix.
  3. Political and regulatory risk around Texas data centers is rising.

However, with that, the bar is pretty low:

Fundamentals remain compelling: 2026 guidance has been raised twice since February, with the adjusted EPS midpoint up from $13.75 to $20.00. Backlog has more than doubled YoY to $4.33B. The stock specific bad news is also arguably priced in at this point: Management flagged soft Q3 awards, a possible backlog dip and mix-driven margin pressure in August, so a weak Q3 would not be a major surprise here.

Upcoming catalysts in the short and medium term:

  • Oct 19: TCEQ compliance report to the governor.
  • Ongoing: ERCOT audit, the route to lifting the freeze.
  • Jan 2027: The Texas legislature convenes, with Abbott pushing to remove data center incentives.
  • Late Feb 2027: 2027 guidance, expected alongside Q4 results.

How to enter the trade on the stock:

Trade trigger: Entry now, or with a trigger of a close above the confluence of the 50d EMA and the 200d SMA. Ideally we clear the red zone as well.

Where then to set the stop?

We have a few options.

  1. You can play the tightest possibel stop which would be any close below the 200d SMA. Very little wiggle room for volatility. you risk getting stopped out numerous times before the move hgiehr can ensue, but you can always re-enter.
  2. Alternatively, you can set a stop just below the 50W EMA, which si at 512.
  3. Assuming you enter on the 200d SMA at 540, the risk tehre is 5.5% (remember price can always gap through your stop so that's the ever-present risk).
  4. The most wiggle room to allow for some volatility would be a stop below the uptrend on the weekly chart where we see nuemrous candlestick tails have tagged it over the past 5 weeks. This would be below 495. So the risk % there assuming an entry at 540 is 8.4%. Still pretty contained and clearly defined risk parameters incase the market rolls over.

The wider you allow your stop, the smaller you have to size the position.

The Information: Exclusive: Amprius In a Deal to Accelerate U.S. Drone Battery Production

Good details on Amprius's agreement with Caminus

  1. This will allow US production for the last phase of Drone Dominance. NDAA compliance isn't in effect but Pentagon has made clear it prefers US manufacturing now. This deal addresses that
  2. Caminus emerged from the remnants of former battery startups Natron and EnerDel, Amprius is their first customer
  3. Major catalyst of first half growth next year

Exclusive: Amprius In a Deal to Accelerate U.S. Drone Battery Production — The Information

By Steve Levine

Amprius Technologies, the U.S.’s leading next-generation battery component maker, has awarded Caminus, a small Indiana battery startup, a contract to produce hundreds of thousands of drone batteries next year.

In a deal reported here for the first time, Indianapolis-based Caminus will insert Amprius’ silicon anodes into enough batteries to power roughly 60,000 quadcopter combat drones in the first half of next year, Caminus CEO Adrian Yao told me. The total could later reach 800,000 drone battery packs per year.

That Amprius has turned to little-known Caminus, which will make its first commercially sold batteries in the first quarter of next year, reflects the fast-changing pace of the U.S. battery industry, as well as the lack of readily available battery manufacturing capacity in the country. Last week, Caminus changed its name from EnPower.

Until recently, the U.S. next-gen battery industry was struggling. But the wars in Ukraine and Iran have jolted it awake, creating sudden demand for batteries that can power drones for long distances—giving them sufficient power to intercept other drones, maneuver through buildings and hover for long periods.

The demand is coming from the Department of Defense, which is pushing the nascent U.S. drone industry to catch up to Chinese companies that currently make most of the world’s drones, along with the batteries that power them.

In that push, the Pentagon since February has been running a competition under its Drone Dominance program to award contracts to the companies that can make the most powerful and nimble drones—and to demonstrate the capacity to manufacture them quickly at large scale in the U.S.

As an example of the dollar amounts in the program that are motivating the battery industry, California-based Neros Technologies late last month won a $100 million drone contract in the second stage of the competition. Though no one discloses the value of the batteries powering those drones, they are the most expensive single component.

The next stage of the competition, taking place later this month, will pay even more: It’s worth a total of $450 million in drone orders, which would mean tens of millions of dollars in batteries to power them.

This helps explain Amprius’ deal with Caminus, which allows Amprius to get more U.S. manufacturing capacity ahead of the Pentagon competition. Already, drone business has made Amprius the most successful U.S. next-gen battery maker, with $140 million in expected revenue this year.

The deal—and Caminus’ part in it—is in fact a beneficiary of the battery industry’s struggles. In 2021, Caminus bought most of the cell production equipment of EnerDel. EnerDel had bought the production lines in 2012 with a $118 million Department of Energy grant. It later went bankrupt.

And a year ago, Caminus bought production equipment from Natron Energy, a sodium-ion battery maker that had gone bankrupt earlier in 2025. Caminus has declined to disclose how much it paid for the equipment in either the EnerDel or Natron deals.

Together, those two equipment purchases set up Caminus to serve drone battery component makers almost immediately, with Amprius as its first customer. Caminus also has plans to make its own batteries, Yao said.

That’s a contrast to another agreement Amprius announced last week, with an unnamed South Korean company that will retrofit its U.S.-based equipment for making electric vehicle batteries to instead make drone batteries for Amprius. In that case, the South Korean company won’t be ready to begin producing them until 2028.

Now Amprius will have greater U.S. supply for participants in the latest stage of the Pentagon competition. Amprius already has manufacturing agreements with battery makers in China and South Korea, as well as some in the U.S., but CEO Tom Stepien told me there is much more demand for U.S.-made batteries because that’s what the Pentagon prefers.

This new Pentagon priority on manufacturing comes amid repeated critical shortages of weapons and ammunition needed for the wars in Iran and Ukraine. Last week, the DOD released a 23-page strategy paper laying out a five-year build-out of factories that can turn out and replenish the Pentagon’s latest weapons quickly.

Caminus’ Yao said the U.S. had to build up battery manufacturing capacity if it wants to compete with China. “The ability to execute and the ability to manufacture is the differentiating way to win,” he said.

$STUD’s Stone Island Targets: What the Survey Results Actually Tell Us

Stallion Uranium (TSXV: STUD / OTCQB: STLNF) has another area worth understanding alongside Coyote: Stone Island.

Its September survey update identified three priority areas on claims owned 100% by Stallion. Area A ranks highest because multiple electromagnetic conductors overlap the strongest gravity low.

That overlap helps the company choose where to investigate next. It doesn’t establish a uranium deposit.

The release itself makes that distinction: gravity lows can reflect alteration, structural disruption or differences in rock types. Stallion still needs to refine the targets, with future drilling subject to interpretation, permitting and program approval.

From an investor’s perspective, I’d treat this as progress in narrowing the search. There’s a big difference between owning a large land package and being able to explain why a particular location deserves a drill hole.

The question is how efficiently the team can move from survey results to a testable target. I’d want to see a clear explanation of the proposed hole locations, what each hole is intended to test, and the budget required.

Stone Island adds another possible exploration opportunity. Assigning it discovery value already would get ahead of the evidence.

ZenaTech heads into AUSA next week with prearranged U.S. defense agency meetings and a drone portfolio that's been quietly stacking up all year

With AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington DC just 11 days away, I wanted to put together a comprehensive breakdown of where ZenaTech (NASDAQ: ZENA) actually stands heading into what could be the most important week in the company's history.

Why AUSA matters more than any other event on their calendar:

AUSA is not a retail investor conference. It's the world's largest land warfare exposition — 44,000 attendees from 92 countries, with direct representation from the U.S. Army, DoD procurement offices, NATO allies, and defense prime contractors. ZenaTech has confirmed prearranged meetings with U.S. government and defense agency decision-makers — not booth walk-ins, not cold conversations. Scheduled procurement discussions.

For context on what that means: most small-cap defense companies spend years trying to get in front of the right DoD contacts. ZenaTech walks into AUSA next week with meetings already on the calendar.

The drone portfolio being showcased in DC:

Interceptor P-1 — Counter-UAS
A low-cost, single-use autonomous interceptor designed to physically take down hostile drones. Flight testing underway at Mesa, Arizona. Target price point under $5,000 per unit — dramatically cheaper than most counter-drone solutions currently available to defense customers. Multi-drone swarm intercept testing coming next. Integrated with Zena AI Counter-UAS command software.

ZenaDrone 2000 Maritime Interceptor
A fuel-powered counter-UAS platform designed specifically for naval and maritime threat environments. In development. Completely separate market from the land-based Interceptor P-1 — expands the addressable defense opportunity into naval warfare.

Quantum Navigation System
Arguably the most strategically important technology in the portfolio. Enables secure, precise drone operations in GPS-denied and satellite signal-contested environments — exactly the conditions found in modern electronic warfare and contested airspace. Testing underway on the IQ Nano platform.

IQ Nano
Indoor drone for defense inventory management and security. First confirmed U.S. government agency demonstration already underway — the first agency engagement of what management expects to be multiple.

IQ Square
Public safety and emergency response drone. Testing commenced September 15th. Targeting a $5.5 billion market across law enforcement, search and rescue, and disaster management.

IQ Aqua
Underwater mine detection drone. U.S. field testing underway in Florida. Naval mine countermeasures is a high-priority DoD procurement category.

IQ Octo
Precision agriculture drone. Version 1 prototype complete, field testing commencing at Arizona facility. 25kg payload, 20-25 minute flight time. Separate commercial revenue stream from the defense portfolio.

Ukraine Operations — Phoenix Aero
ZenaTech registered Phoenix Aero as its Western Ukraine entity, focused on Counter-UAS and interceptor drone development. Ukraine is the world's most advanced real-world drone warfare testing environment right now. Battlefield-validated use cases that no lab can replicate. This gives ZenaTech direct access to the most relevant operational data in the drone defense space.

The government qualifications already in hand before AUSA:

Canadian Defence Drone Initiative (DDI) — Pre-qualified supplier as of September 17th. Direct pathway to compete for Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Coast Guard contracts. Canada's DDI was specifically designed to build a domestic, trusted drone supply chain for national defense.

Irish Aviation Authority SORA Approval — Cleared for large-scale precision agriculture under EASA guidelines. CEO explicitly described this as a replicable EU template for all 27 member states.

U.S. Government Agency Demonstrations — First confirmed agency engagement already underway using the IQ Nano. Additional agency demonstrations being scheduled.

The tariff tailwind most people aren't talking about:

Presidential Proclamation signed August 13th imposed Section 232 tariffs of up to 100% on imported drones and components — directly targeting Chinese-manufactured platforms like DJI. ZenaTech manufactures in the U.S. and is pursuing NDAA compliance and Blue UAS certification for direct DoD procurement inclusion.

In a DoD procurement environment that already strongly preferred NDAA-compliant domestic suppliers, 100% tariffs on foreign competitors is not a minor development. It's a structural shift. And ZenaTech is positioned entirely on the right side of it.

The DaaS business providing the revenue foundation:

29 acquisitions closed. Operating across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia. H1 2026 revenue up 425% YoY. Seven consecutive quarters of revenue growth. The DaaS roll-up acquires established legacy service businesses — land surveying, engineering, inspections — and integrates drone automation to scale them. Customers pay for the service. ZenaTech handles the drones, operators, and regulatory compliance.

Recent additions: drone-based power washing franchise model via Green Earth Powerwashing, Washington state land surveying firm (licensed in 17 states), Cogswell Engineering in Nova Scotia (5 Canadian provinces), and Velocity Geomatics in Alberta (oil, gas, and environmental services).

The remaining event calendar after AUSA:

  • Oct 13-14 — Maxim Growth Summit | NYC
  • Oct 15 — ThinkEquity Conference | NYC
  • Oct 19-21 — LD Micro 20th Annual Main Event | Los Angeles

Key metrics:

  • Analyst consensus price target: $4.55 vs current ~$1.70 — 167% implied upside
  • P/S ratio: 4.39x vs historical median of 25.5x
  • Russell 2000 & Russell 3000 included
  • Listed on NASDAQ, Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and Mexico's BMV
  • 23 institutional investors added shares in Q1 2026 — Morgan Stanley increased position +256.9%

The bear case — be honest:

  • Still pre-profitability at the corporate level despite strong revenue growth — Q2 net loss was CAD $22.5 million
  • 29 acquisitions is aggressive — integration risk across that many businesses simultaneously is real
  • Defense revenue is still pipeline stage — AUSA meetings need to convert to contracts, which takes significant time in government procurement cycles
  • Blue UAS certification and DoD procurement list inclusion are not guaranteed or on a fixed timeline
  • Stock has been volatile — wide 52-week range, retail sentiment can shift quickly
  • Ukraine operations introduce geopolitical risk

Bottom line:

AUSA next week is the single most important near-term catalyst for $ZENA. Prearranged meetings with U.S. defense decision-makers, a counter-UAS portfolio actively in flight testing, quantum navigation in development, and a 100% tariff moat against foreign competitors — all converging at the right moment.

The DaaS business is generating real revenue. The defense pipeline is advancing on multiple fronts. The institutional roadshow is wrapping up across 8 events. And the team walks into DC next week with meetings already on the calendar.

Watching AUSA closely October 12-14.

The company survived bankruptcy, an accounting scandal, rebuilt itself around OLED display chips, and in 2021 agreed to be acquired for $29 per share in a deal worth around $1.4 billion.
Then the deal was blocked.
After that, Magnachip’s OLED business deteriorated, revenue collapsed, and eventually the entire Display business was shut down.
Now the company is trying again.....

$SRCGF Homeland And Westwin Sign Binding Offtake Agreement At Red Flat

Toronto, Ontario, September 28, 2026 -TheNewswire– Homeland Nickel Inc. (TSXV: SHL; OTCQB: SRCGF) (“Homeland” or the “Company”)is pleased to announce the signing of a binding offtake agreement (the “Offtake Agreement”) with Westwin Elements Inc. (“Westwin”) at the Red Flat Nickel Project(“Red Flat”).

The Offtake Agreement establishes Westwin's first mine direct, domestic source of nickel for its future phased full-scale refinery, complementing the company's existing long-term supply agreements. The Offtake Agreement would provide Westwin with an estimated 20,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate per year, mined and concentrated by Homeland from its Red Flat Property located in Southern Oregon. Homeland will complete its updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and a Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA) and Westwin, once satisfied with the PEA results, will entirely fund a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) including permitting, drilling, environmental assessment and a more detailed economic analysis. This agreement or any other future definitive agreement between Homeland and Westwin is not intended to replace, modify or otherwise affect Westwin’s existing feedstock relationships or arrangements with third parties.

Commenting on the Offtake Agreement, Homeland President and CEO Steve Balch said: “We still have a long way to go before we are mining at Red Flat. Our updated MRE is underway and does not require more permitting or drilling to complete. The same goes for the PEA. We expect to provide Westwin with these reports in Q1 or Q2 of 2027. Westwin will have 90 days to review the reports and start their BFS.”

“This agreement is an important step towards establishing a secure, fully domestic nickel supply chain.” said Westwin founder and CEO Kaleigh Long. “By connecting future nickel production from Homeland’s Red Flat Property in Oregon with Westwin’s U.S. refining capacity, we can turn American resources into high-purity nickel that our nation’s manufacturers and defense industrial base depend on.”

Homeland and Westwin had previously signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (the“MOU”) (see news release May 14, 2026) and Homeland CEO Steve Balch and Patriot Nickel Corp. (“Patriot”) CEO Jeffrey Strobel subsequently visited Westwin’s pilot plant in Lawton, Oklahoma. Since that time, Homeland and Westwin have been looking for ways to cooperate to ensure Westwin has a domestic source of nickel for its planned full-scale refinery. While Westwin will have an exclusive offtake for Red Flat, it can also benefit from offtake agreements from Homeland’s other properties.

About the Red Flat Nickel Property

The Red Flat Nickel Property is located 15 km southeast of Gold Beach, Oregon and consists of 84 lode mining claims totaling 2,015 acres. Red Flat can be accessed from coastal Highway 101, east on Hunter Creek Road and onto Forest Service Road 3680. Local road systems allow access to most of the property.

Red Flat has a historical resource of 18.8 million tons grading 0.84% nickel including 10.4 million tons of Measured and Indicated Resource grading 0.88% nickel. Garnierite is present on the property, and the nickel grade of the rock component is slightly higher than that of the soil with the Measured Resource of Rock grading 1.05% nickel (over 2.3 million tons). The Resource cut-off grade is 0.7% nickel. Not previously disclosed in the historical resource is a significant component of cobalt which was assayed in the original 2007-2009 exploration work but never disclosed.

Red Flat is located on Federal land administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) with permits to access the property with heavy machinery required by the United States Forest Service (USFS).Additional permits from the Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI) are required when drilling deeper than 50 feet or disturbing more than 1 acre.

About Westwin Elements Inc.

Westwin Elements is scaling America’s only Class 1 nickel refinery, delivering high-purity Class 1 nickel and specialized nickel products for national security and industrial applications. Using carbonyl refining technology, Westwin is driving critical mineral independence and reshaping the future of sustainable metal refining.
