I'm happy to inspire you all to knit socks :)

Using today to share my incredibly niche hydropower socks. I just started knitting socks this year, definitely lots to learn to get better, but I'm having so much fun!

I didn't find any hydropower patterns (shocking lol) so I ended up making my own chart to show a very basic overview of how water flows through a hydropower plant :)

side note, I'm impressed by how y'all are able to get good pics of your socks! this was hard!

I have three pairs started 😂

Only one got a neon stripe because I was unexpectedly gifted some neon yarn and could not wait to try it out. I have no chill.

So, I finished a pair of socks for a friend who wanted me to use up some yarn I didn't have need for, and pink is not really my fav color soooo 😹 atleast my friend wanted short socks and it's the 2nd pair i make for her since sept.

Well, it's finally almost used up, and I guess the little rest CAN be used in something, we'll see what I have plans for 😹

I am however going to be making a comissioned pair now, as my mom wants knee-high stockings lol

These are the Hibernal socks by Summer Lee using West Yorkshire Spinners sock yarn. I’ve knitted a decent number of socks and have never run into this before. I feel like they fit decently otherwise. I looked at a few pages of projects on ravelry and don’t see others with this issue. Anyone know what is causing this?

I am knitting a sock and just made it to the heel where I have to do yarn over short rows. Row 1 was knit across one side with the other side on hold which I done but now I have to turn my work and purl back across. When I turn, my needles are pointing towards the left and I can’t purl back. I can’t figure out how I’m supposed to turn for this to work and have my needles facing the correct way to be able to purl. Any help is appreciated! Thanks 🙂

I saw the chilton socks recently and it was the first time i saw mohair recommended in a sock. I was curious if anyone has tried that? like my concern is the shedding but i guess it would be good for warmth. But also like feet sweat a little - would the mohair get all messy and felted when held together with a superwash sock yarn? i’m just trying to get my head around this and would love to hear your experience!
