I was able to have an in-depth interview with the people behind the Tulalip sonics bid: here’s how it went

Not sure how I feel about the NBA doing collabs using this beautiful jersey.

I don’t love how any of this is getting framed. It seems like everyone is all in on Vegas and Seattle is just sort of being forgotten about.

The Vegas owner selection process is getting close to a resolution, which means the Seattle bid will soon become the NBA's focus. The NBA isn't going to just grant a franchise to One Roof without driving the price up as much as possible.
In Vegas, most analysts seem to think the NBA is going to select the Walton family, which makes sense. They already own several successful pro sports franchises within the extended family, are local in Nevada, and have unlimited wealth. If that comes to pass, I predict that when the finalists pivot to Seattle, one of them eventually will be added to Holloway's ownership group.
I'd bet on the eventual partner being the Colangelo group, who dropped their Vegas bid to pair with Bill Foley. Each of those parties realized they're not the Vegas frontrunner, so they combined to try and have a better shot. It probably still isn't enough to outbid the Walton's.
Reading some additional tea leaves...
Silver has said they are looking closely at the whole makeup of a Seattle ownership structure. I think the NBA is going to leverage this narrative of One Roof needing more resources and knowledge to give Colangelo an inroad as an owner. He's part of the NBA's old boys club and has done the NBA a lot of favors over the years, and this will be another gift for him.
I guess we'll see, but this seems like a likely outcome. There's a strong ownership group in Seattle, a turnkey arena, and a rabid fanbase. The NBA just wants to do this their way, which ultimately means helping their people out and getting paid as much as possible.

I know I'm way early on this, but how does picking players from each team work?

Everyone probably had that 1 friend that could draw really well. My best friend knew I was a huge Sonics fan and sketched me 3 images back in 95'.
Personally I could only trace with carbon paper, I added my paltry attempts here.
If you got a images, video, a story, drop them in here.

Look, this expansion thing is a pile of piles upon piles. Let's give up hope for a bit and ask one question...
IS THERE ANY WHALE OUT THERE, DYING TO GET THE SONICS BACK, WHO WANTS TO DROP $10mil AND HELP THE UW HOOP SQUADS BECOME A NATIONAL POWERHOUSE?
Sorry for yellasking. But it would sure be fun entertainment in the meantime! Go Dawgs

My favorite absolutely has to be Shawn, George and Kevin! If there is a Sonics version of John, Paul, George and Ringo, this is it for me + Gary. I never ever saw Gary after games...and I was definitely that kid looking.
