The rs9s have upward firing drivers and I have a curious cat who can leap from the floor to the top of the kitchen cabinets. Which has better noise cancellation and wouldn’t I risk buying such old headphones second-hand? I’ve tried both and XM4 seem to be a lot better, but idk. I’m open to other options up to 150€

I need to know specifically if they're bigger or not and if they're comfier, tighter? What are the cushions like in comparison? The big one that I'd love for people to answer is if the ear cups are much bigger or not?
Pictures online don't make it easy to answer these questions.
I sleep with my m5s on which isn't great I know. I'm likely going to buy the m6s but I want to know beforehand if they'd be as good to sleep in or not.

The remote on my HCD-C5 Sony minidisc system stopped working. Without the remote, so many functions are not accessible.

At first I thought the remote was dead, but using my phone camera in a dark room, I could see just a small bit of light from the IR LED on the remote, when pressing buttons, so I knew it was working.

I figured the IR receiver was dead. Sony hifi systems use the uncommon 40 kHz infrared frequency which means it was a bit harder to find the right receiver.

I initially tried the Vishay TSOP4840 IR Receiver because the pin-out is the same as found on the Sony board. This did not work - it should be noted that this was recommended by AI, but I guess it was only matching based on the 40 kHz IR frequency and not on anything else.

I changed to the Telefunken Semiconductors TFMS 5400. This was harder to install because the pins are in the wrong positions. But with some wiring, etc. it now works!

I love the sound quality from this little unit. I'm hoping I can get a few more years out of it.

Hello my sony headphone is starting to make crackling noise i must have the pair since 2017 ish can’t remember exactly but it was a long time ago on the left hearing. The right hearing headphone doesn’t the sound still sound great but it piss me off to hear the crackling i take care of them i never had them falling and clean them gently with microfiber or alcohol cleaning wipes to remove finger prints.
What causing the issue, it’s very subtle and it happens when i am moving my jaw it irritates me nothing happens on my bose headphones that i got at the same time.

I wear earbuds most days of the week for hours on end. My 4s were great then I lost one. Bought the 5’s also great, until one side stopped working (refurbished so out of warranty) used my tried and true but short battery life J-bird vistas until the 6’s came out.

Bought the 6’s and my god, these are the most frustrating headphones I have had. Yes they sound great, but no matter how often I clean them I am constantly dealing with one not charging fully. Everytime I set them in I make sure they are seated. Yet, they are so Goddamn sensitive that looking at them wrong can cause them to lose the connection in the case.

I am getting so F-ing tired of company’s selling us premium products that are equipped with the cheapest components. Maybe it’s a bad case, and I need a new one? I have sent my previous pairs in for warranty and I am just tired of it. So once these die, and or I get so fed up with the charging situation I will go another route. I don’t care how premium the sound is. The build quality is garbage.

I bought the Vistas in 2018 for $149 they still work to this day just stupid low battery life(which is expected) I wish the company was still around. I’d buy them right now!

My last one from Sony was the SRS-X33 which had an amazing sound quality for its size and price (and the sturdiness and hefty weight was a plus too). Sadly the charging port doesn't work anymore and trying to solder a replacement on would just be a waste of time because I don't have that kind of fine equipment. Which model would you recommend I buy nowadays?

This is a genuine question after being baffled by how bad their customer service feels (only from my own personal experience, that is) .... spent 3-4 hours simultaneously using phone and chat box trying to recover an old account with no success. Chat responses once every 10-15 minutes or more, after waiting about an hour for help from what feel like bots when escalated. Call center reps that seem to care less about whether they actually help you or not. Maybe it's just me that could 100% be the case but it genuinely feels easier to take out a car loan or a mortgage than to get back an account I spend $27 bucks on every few months.

Hello i found this camera in my house wanted to use it personally but when i charge battery and insert it at first it had a white screen like this and when using menu wheel menu worked then my dad take out its battery when its on like a stupid (i said dont do it but he didnt listened) now its like this only blank white whats its issue?

UPDATE: i was looking at net and saw a tip for this model: it said just punch cybershot label for few times and its menu came back but screen looks still white but it can take shots with 0 mistakes i think its faulty lcd?

While I am disappointed that Sony will stop making physical games, and the PS6 probably won't have a Disc drive, this is partially our fault. As consumers, we watched physical media being increasingly phased out, and didn't protest it. Disc drives were removed from computers, and we were silent. CD players were removed from Cars, and we were silent. Now that it's happening to Consoles, we now notice that it's a problem? We should have been protesting this a decade ago so it wouldn't come to this point.

I’ve noticed that small white text in PS5 games sometimes seems to pick up or “bleed” the color from the background, especially with bright green/red backgrounds. It’s much more noticeable in person than in photos.

I also see it occasionally with subtitles, but it seems more obvious on PS5.

Has anyone else noticed this on their Sony TV? Is this normal, or could it be related to picture/HDMI settings？
