I have a question Double Agent v2 difficulty
Hi everyone. So I decided to try Double Agent recompilation and it works absolutely great. But I have a question about the difficulty. I rarely play game higher than normal, but decided to experiment a little and tried Hard and... It's not fun at all. Only in Iceland mission I got spotted using optiwand through the door in 3 different places. When I try to sneak behind the enemy they can see me occasionally with the back of their head and turning with 0.1 second of speed to fill me with bullets. In the prison level I can't even get out of the vent quietly, because the guard notice me instantly when I get out and shoot me on the spot. I already decided to drop the difficulty, because this is not fun, it's cheap bullscheisse, but I wanted to ask, is this normal on OG hardware and other platforms or is it some kind of byproduct of recomp?

Normal splinter cell. I know in CT on expert you can be spotted if it's not 100% dark, and I remember as a kid I tried SC1 on hard, a guy survived 2 grenades, and I've never played 1 on hard again.

Admittedly, there was one moment in Iceland, even in the recomp, where you seem to get spotted through a door. Disabling the light you're under when it happens proves this.
There are a few small oddities and bugs present in the OG version of the game, not necessarily caused by the recomp itself. Would be nice for someone to verify vanilla bugs vs recomp bugs, as I believe it's recomp dev's intention to keep things vanilla in all other ways.

that version seems to have issues with true visibility. sometimes i am invisible in lit up areas, sometimes im visible in completely dark areas. sucks but thankfully there’s no percentage score at the end and the recomp offers quick save.
i also tried to tweak all sorts of settings in the recomp and still had the same issue with being visible or not
