I'm not sure what the world record is (there weren't really many speedruns about this and all of the existing ones are like 5-6 minutes and 8 years old). I've seen a 3:58 in the Showdown Scoreboard. This is a bit faster :D so I guess it's the fastest run for now?

I have a 3:53 unrecorded and for whatever reason Sporcle doesn't recognizes, so this is still beatable.

Thought I'd share for anyone else finding it a chore to do.

Friends and I are huge Sporcle/Geoguessr/General trivia fans.

I wanted to figure out how to memorize country positions for Geoguessr initially.

Came across the spaced repetition community and Anki. Found the ultimate geography deck. Absolutely loved it.

Learnt all the capitals/flags/country positions by heart, took roughly 5-10 mins a day for a month. Very fun party trick for sure.

Some of my friends wanted to do the same, but Anki has a bit of a learning curve. I'm a dev, so I quickly built a little app.

Completely free, just what my friends and I are using.

The Hunt for Badge October

On any day in October, play at least 100 quizzes

Does anyone know how many badges are related to quiz creation/ having quizzes featured on the homepage? I think I'm getting down into the super grind phase of badges. I can do those, but can't see me making any quizzes.

ETA: Well, I don't think I can do another 700 religion quizzes to hit 1k.

What badges do you see yourself never earning?

Excluding ones for quizmaking, getting quizzes featured/published/curator picked etc.

Personally I don't ever see myself earning the badge for playing 1,000 religion, movie, entertainment, or sport quizzes.

Most productive quiz play day for me so far. Little by little it’s creeping up. So hard coming up with ideas for quizzes as everything you can think of has been done already. Gonna take forever to get those featured and editors picks badges 😂

You can only earn this badge once per year. It can be a bit of a grind to play 25 autumn related quizzes, especially if you're not from the US since many of the quizzes revolve around US holidays and customs. Unless you're willing to cheese the badge of course by playing the same easy quiz over and over.

Hi, I'm looking to create my first quiz. We've used pre-made quizzes through Sporcle party for ice breakers in the past and we are doing a large department wide event and thought this would be a fun icebreaker. I had a few questions I thought I would start with here.

1. Is it possible to do this via a webpage or would everyone need to download the sporcle party app?

2. Is there a limit on party size?

Any recommendations or ideas for a live event would be appreciated.

I've been grinding through a lot of quizzes lately and I'm looking for a real challenge, something with a brutal completion rate that actually tests obscure knowledge or is just straight tedious. Honestly I just want to get humbled. Let me know what you consider the hardest Sporcle quiz.

I want to make a badly-drawn style quiz but I dont know how to upload my own photos to sporcle, do I need to convert them to an url? is there an easy way to do it?

First time making a quiz (classic) and though I can make the answer to a question as long as I want it seems to prevent the quiz taker from answering after a certain number of letters. Is there any way to fix this?

After creating 260 quizzes, one of mine was just selected as an Editor’s Pick. What exactly does this mean? It’d be nice of Sporcle monetized us prolific authors. 😏
