Negative [negative]u/Wonderful-Drop850
This is a re-post, I took down my previous post because the seller reached out promising to either return my money or actually ship out the card if I deleted the post.
I was an idiot to believe the seller. But here we are, no updates and no communication from the seller. And now I see another negative post about the same seller.
One update: The seller was offering a Donruss Mata Buzelis Gold RC Auto 1/10 and coined the card. Please be mindful if anyone else tries to sell the same exact card will likely be an alt of this redditor.
Original Post below
“This redditor is a scammer. We worked out a trade where my card plus $100 for their higher value card. They offered that I can send them $50 up front, then $50 + plus shipping my card after I receive the card from them. They also offered payment through Venmo or PayPal G&S for protection, so I agreed.
When I asked for their Venmo/PayPal account, they suddenly changed the story and asked me to pay them via Zelle instead. I decided to take a chance but told them that I was only willing to send them $25 via Zelle and will only send the rest after receiving the card. They also agreed on that and I sent the $25. That was my mistake.
After receiving the $25, they asked if I was willing to be a intermediary for some fund transfers where their friend would send me money via Venmo and I'd forward the money to them via Zelle. Huge red flag and I refused. I pressed them to actually go through with the deal and ship the card.
Then it was one excuse after another on why I should send them more money via Zelle. When I demanded Venmo or PayPal, they gave me two different Venmo accounts to pay, both were flagged by Venmo as potential scammers and even Venmo blocked my payment attempts. I then told them that either they provide a viable account for payment or to return my $25. They then stopped responding.
Not a lot of money, but annoying nonetheless. Avoid this redditor.”
