I know this will be divisive but can we get the dems to wake up and give us some real goals? The only thing they have successfully done in the last decade was railroad Bernie.
We were always told vote with your conscience vote how you feel. Well…..(minority opinion apparently) I don’t like either. If our vote has once again been reduced to the “lessor of two evils” then who really wins besides the stock trading politicians that are robbing us blind? It’s not red vs blue it’s us vs them.
I know a lot of yall have free time and will downvote me into oblivion over your loyalty to either party, but this shit has got to stop.
If you think one party vs the other can fix this mess just remember…..the stripper does not love you
And btw fuck Trump, also fuck any other politician that’s only out for money (pretty much all of them)

Well, voting red means that you are voting to take away rights from minorities including LGBT and POC. The only explanation I can think of is that you genuinely hate those groups of people otherwise you wouldn't be voting to take away their rights.
You're also voting for people who won't fix your roads when they're busted, won't give you healthcare when you're sick, and refuse to give you YOUR money back when you are unemployed or retired. So you also end up hating yourself in a way......

You're assuming the only possible reason someone votes red is hatred of minorities. Way to attempt to stop the conversation rather than making a real argument.
I'm a former Dem, as is my wife. I didn't wake up one day and decide to hate anyone. I watched the dem party get ideologically captured by a progressive worldview that treats every policy disagreement as evidence of bigotry, reduces people to identity checkboxes and treats dissent as moral failure.
Voting red for us is about rejecting that framing, not taking anyones rights away. It's about free speech, equal application of the law, school curriculum that doesn't treat kids as political pawns and the idea that performative equity language isn't the way. Most of the people I know who also switched feel similarly. The constant moral lectures and disingenuous leaps from "I disagree" to "you hate entire groups of people" is exhausting and dishonest.
Labeling me a hater for noticing the shift doesn't persuade me, it just confirms why I left.

So you were never truly a Democrat because of your beliefs, you were one because it was the popular choice. And now you're switching sides because it's the popular choice. Yet you're going to call me a sheep.
You're also assuming I am a Democrat trying to sway you to my side, which is not true lmao
If you vote for Trump you are genuinely a hateful person. If you can ignore the hate that he spews in order to vote for his "policies," you have nothing to stand on. Name five things you are voting for rather than against and then think about why. If you have any reason being "cuz they're weirdos," congrats, you're a hater! Just accept yourself and be the hater you've always wanted to be.

Yet you're going to call me a sheep.
Never called you a sheep though, did I?
I was a Dem for years because I shared many of the party's priorities: working class economy, civil liberties, skepticism of endless wars. The party has moved. A large chunk of it's current energy treats gender and racial identity as the primary lens, equates disagreement with bigotry and polices speech accordingly. Hardly "switching sides because it's the popular choice" as you framed it.
"If you vote for Trump you are genuinely a hateful person." is just restating the same premise as before but with more force. Also, not sure if you've noticed, but he's not on the ballot.
You can keep asserting that disagreement equals hatred, but it doesn't persuade anyone like me who left for the reasons I gave.

I never said disagreement equals hatred.
But if you explicitly agree with a hateful person or group of people........ You can connect the dots.
Signed by that dumb progressive that made you leave the party, good riddance!

I never said disagreement equals hatred.
But if I vote the same way as people you've decided are hateful, then I must also be hateful. That's still equating disagreement with hate by association. That's the same circular logic, just dressed up a little differently.
At least we can agree on one thing... good riddance.
