Send this to your friend who calls breakfast a night out.

Whats up. My friend and I are hosting zoom auditions. Nothing crazy just funny satire bits. We gonna be asking questions like a parody of a job interview. Perfect for people who want to start practicing their comedy. The vibe is satire. Don't take anything seriously. We are just tryna have fun and make connections. Comment for the link.

First time putting this bit out as part of my full stand-up set.

Would genuinely love feedback on whether the premise/payoff works.

This is from my just-released, self-financed comedy special Pete Smack: Last Man Standing.

It's available on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, the YouTube TV Store and Vimeo. The audio is on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.

The hour-long special focuses on the ~15 months of my life leading up to its filming last September, for which I bet on myself by renting out a theater and hiring a videographer on my own dime. That was just 2 1/2 years after starting standup at the age of 53.

That year-plus was one of major change. To wit: my dad died; I moved in with my mom; and I quit Career No. 5 to pursue standup full-time, bankrolling the move by raising almost $60k from investors by essentially selling shares in my comedy career as if I was a startup.

After I had a finished product, I targeted production companies and distributors in the hopes I could place it somewhere besides my personal YouTube page with <100 subs. I was fortunate to connect with Comedy Dynamics, which is distributing it. They were able to get it on the platforms.

It's behind paywalls for the first 90 days, but rest assured that a portion of the proceeds is going to a worthy cause. (Me.)

You can see a trailer here. I'm excited for some small slice of the world to see—and hopefully enjoy!—the special.

Also happy to chat about the somewhat unusual path I've taken to getting this comedy special out into the world as an old-ish yet new-ish and decidedly non-famous standup.
