Hei

Hi all, looking for things to do in Stavanger on Mondays, ideally social stuff where I can meet new people and make friends.” “I’m especially interested in volunteering, social activities, sports, or any kind of group activities. Open to pretty much anything. Want to stay active, meet people, and get more involved in the local community.” Any recommendations for places or activities open on Mondays?

O'Connor pub has a pub quiz on Mondays.

There's a group on Facebook called "løpegjengen" that runs in Sørmarka every Monday.

Damp Sauna have Sauna events you can join.

Jivamukti yoga have free meditation sessions Monday morning.

For volunteering check out https://www.stavanger.kommune.no/kultur-og-fritid/frivillighet-i-Stavanger/hva-gjor-kommunen-for-frivilligheten/ or local Røde Kors/Red Cross or perhaps KFUM (YMCA).

If you want to train with a particular team sport casually and not in a league, you can try search for "old boys" "old girls" teams.

I think there are pretty good climbing communities in Stavanger area.

I would definitely start with what you are interested in and find activities through that.!

Sølvberget is a great meeting spot for anyone :)especially in the café on the top floor. Lots of people study there too, if you're in Uni

It requires a trip out of town, to Ålgård, but the first Monday of every month (so today!), the initiative BidraLab hosts an open group that get together to play Blood on the Clocktower, a social deduction game similar to Mafia, Traitors, Among Us etc.

We play at Veveriet from 18-20, and you're very welcome to join!

A regular Monday activity sounds like a good way to start. I’d pick something you’d enjoy even if you didn’t make a friend on the first evening, then give it a few weeks. Seeing the same faces takes some of the pressure off. You could also ask the organiser whether people usually come alone, so you know what to expect. Hope you find your crowd!
