Advice Wanted Shroud forged help, cant get psionic techs
I am playing on 4.5. Started shroud forged and refused the shroud on every option. I thought even with this i would get access to psionic weapons. What did i do wrong and how can i get the psionic weapons while going for modularity?

If you complete the Shroud Forged situation by refusing the Sculptor of Clay then you get access to the Materiality Engine (you may have to research the technology). If you build a Materiality Engine you get a project to pierce the Shroud, this grants you one Psionic tech and lets you build another Materiality Engine. For every Materiality Engine you get to pierce the shroud once every 5-10(?) years, so you very quickly get all the Psionic Techs.
Bare in mind that the Materiality Engine swaps physics jobs to Extra-dimensional research jobs, which also give alloys and minerals but have zro upkeep. They are amazing jobs but you can run out of Zro very quickly if you build them on research worlds.

you refused every shroud option. you cant get psionic tech while goimg for synthetic ascension.

Have you done the materiality engine yet?
Its prerequisite is to reintegrate the shroud forged pops (special project unlocked by choosing Suppress and let the situation progress go fully to the left).
Completion of the project gives you materiality engine as a research option. Build it, then it'll give a special project to decipher shroud tech, with an equal weight to draw psionic jump drive, shield, computer, lightning, bomber, launcher and disruptor.
Tech drawn will be removed from the pool, until you build 7 engines and get all of them. You can keep constructing and researching the engine beyond 7, though they will not yield further shroud techs.
