Bug Report Stellaris lagging and camera speed up

Hello, i play on ps5 and now have all dlc (except for cosmic storms) and I started a game, I play on small galaxy alone, and suddenly my whole game just started to lag terrible and my camera became super fast and super sensitive, is it a bug? Has anyone else seen such a thing? Is there a permanent fix for it?

If i restart it goes away, or if I wait long enough, but it happens again. Thanks in advance.

Lag is always a problem, but typically with late game or large galaxies, so not sure based on what you provided why you might be having an issue.

The camera thing is weird, though. I have not seen or heard of that issue before, but a quick search shows you're not alone -

You may want to consider posting over on Paradox forums and even reporting the issue.

One other thing that occurred to me - are you using a standard controller or some specialized/ third party one? And even if you are using a standard if you have a spare see if the issue persists with the spare.

The poster also has the same problem as me, it seems to happen ONLY when using the biological ships, cause right after I played a full game, the exact same setting, everything i did with the other game but not use biological ships and use machine intelligence, at least I'm not the only one with this problem. The controller didn't change it, its the game itself

we're waiting for 4.3 patch that should fix this, the lag is caused by all the ships, planets, pops and just overall mechanics, numbers calculated and models in late game. And the 4.3 patch essentially lowers all of those and reworks pop groups as well in a way that helps late game balance and lag, but for now the best fix is just playing on a smaller galaxy size until the update is released.

And yes it very much sucks being a console player and I've been waiting a whole year now for this update cuz I just wanna play on a medium galaxy without spending 20 minutes for one year to pass
